I feel very lucky to have found Dr Franke; he's knowledgeable, caring, listens to me, and works with me concerning my issues. I would recommend him (and have) to everyone I know that needs a pain doctor. He really is amazing. The front staff are always very pleasant. I don't dread my monthly appointments, and that's saying a lot when you're in pain. I have 2 types of arthritis so there will always be some level of pain but Dr Franke has helped me enormously and improved my quality of life. Finding a doctor like Franke is a rare gem.

So I have first consultation for foraminal stenosis on 6/6/22. Doc tells me he can give me an epidural on 7/19/22 and schedules me, to be followed with physical therapy and see a neurologist and someone would give me a call. Ugh... but OK. I get a call day before procedure telling me they have to cancel because I didnt do any physical therapy.... but I never received a call from anyone. My plan was to follow up day of procedure. When I explained to several people noone told me I needed PT first, I got the exact same response like they all got the memo. I had six weeks I could have worked on it if required. Then when I call physical therapy they tell me they have no record of referral!!! So now starting process over with 6 weeks wasted in pain and difficulty walking and falling. I don't blame the doc, not his job. It's the support staff. Nice job ladies!

The doctor is really good but staff in office could be better. In October I was scheduled to get a radio frequency ablation done. 5 people couldn't get a iv started so I could get sedated. The office staff was supposed to call me and check on me and reschedule the procedure. Never happened. I waited bacause of holidays and other things. Now I told I was a no show. What the hell. I don't think people are doing there job or sharing the right information between clinics.

New nurse practitioner wanted to put me in a suboxone clinic, despite my use of prescribed opiates being minimal. Following CDC guidelines, he said. I’m finding another pain management practice!

Dr Evan Franke is great. Before I met him I went through 4 years of physical therapy with little to no results. After a few visits with him I am back living my life doing what I like to do with little to no pain. Highly recommended.

My rating isn’t for the actual doctor more so the office supervisor. Offers no other assistance when missing an appointment for pre opp pain meds. Granted it was my fault for running late and missing it but telling the patient to just keep calling back to check isn’t an appropriate option considering he surgery was scheduled for this week. Again my fault on messing up but people are out here with real pain real life incomprehensible pain such as myself. My advice considering friends referred me here (which they will all know of my experience) is offer some extra assistance make someone feel priority and specially if this is their first time ever missing or being late. And when they call back to move to another location that’s closer that’s your opportunity to redeem yourself not make matters worse. But instead you wanted to immediately argue and over talk the patient. And instead of wanting to keep me your offering a discharge letter that I can pick up. Knowing I was going to come get it you tell me after I was to show up right after calling and saying I was going to pick it up you tell me you were just getting ready to leave to the post office to mail it out……. So you can cause me further headache while being in pain! Shame on you. So when you think your losing one patient you might be losing 5. Oh and last this goes for the young women in the office who Have absolutely no personality whatsoever……. Lighten up you made the choice to work with patients at least act like you like your job. Smh won’t be coming back and it’s pretty sad someone in dire pain is telling you guys how to be….. what a joke the my wife called to express this to you over the phone but considering you placed her on hold when she started to explain and left her on hold now everyone can know what happened.

The Doc listen to me about my problems and understood my needs. The Doc is sending me to see other specialists and ordered different meds for my pain. I like my visit and my Doctor. And the girls out front were nice too......

Dr Ray and John, are the best!!! I have been under there care for 1 year and I am more mobile than I have been in years. They listen to you and take the time to understand what your issues are and come up with an amazing plan. Thank you both for giving me my life back.

The staff does not respond in a timely manner. They are rude. They don’t understand or follow through. I’ve been trying for 48 hrs to get my pain meds called into pharmacy. My ins. will only allow 7 day prescriptions at a time. They falsely accused me of taking a 30 day supply, yet I only received 7 days worth. I am in excruciating pain & can get no help from AZ pain clinic. They gave me false hope.

It’s bad enough that anytime I need to get any types of injections that have already been given in the past I have to set an appointment to come in and be seen first then come back and do the injections. These have been ongoing since January so I’m not sure why that is. Now on top of that they’ve made it so they cannot do any appointments for injections in Office. You still have to come in for an appointment and then said a separate appointment to go to the surgery center. This place is very disorganized when I called to make this appointment the person who took my call and scheduled me, didn’t even know that..

The atmosphere is very pleasant and professional. Dr. Franke is a great listener and provides any information you ask of him. I never have felt rushed through my visits!

I always have the best experience at the Biltmore office. It start at front and continue when you go the back. They help you to feel comfortable and show that they care
