Do not rent here what so ever. You have to wait in hour long lines to pick up you’re car just to not get you’re money back? Our car was prefect as you can see here! They are a rip off! They just want you’re money.

Sketchy business. When I initially booked this reservation I paid $394.32 for an economy good gas mileage car. A short time later I received the email confirmation for the reservation with a string of fine print, as well as; an additional $165.98 which would be due at pick-up. After getting off my plane and waiting in line for more than an hour, I spoke to an agent who said because I was traveling in the mountains the car I had rented wouldn't be sufficient enough to climb the hills and he offered to give me a great discount on a Toyota Corolla at $40.00 a day. He went through the rental extremely quick and asked me to put my debit card in the machine at which time it charged me an additional $817.53. I figured the $394.32, as well as; the $165.98 would go toward this purchase, boy was I wrong. I contacted customer service and they said the price was correct and it was additional charges to the already $394.32 I had already paid for the reservation making the total bill $1212.05. The rental car cost more than my whole vacation and I had to take money out of my savings to pay for it. I spoke to Budget Customer service and they basically told me to pound sand. At no time did I believe I would be paying this amount for a rental car. I feel the company scammed me into paying unneeded fee's and up charging for a vehicle they said they were giving a great discount on. I feel the company fails to notify customers appropriately of the fee's associated with their rentals. I feel $202 a day for a car rental is a ridiculous amount of money for someone who is on a budget and can't afford these rates.

I rented a compact truck for some personal use at the Budget Rental Car location in Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport rental car center in Arizona. I live locally, so was not arriving by plane as is probably the case for most passengers. I was brought to the rental car center by private vehicle. There was an extended wait of over an hour at the check-in counter within the rental car center. There seemed to be a good number of agents on duty, so the reason for the delay was unclear. Upon reaching the counter, I was told that the type of vehicle I had reserved was not available and was encouraged to accept another vehicle to reduce my wait. I requested the vehicle I had requested (a pickup truck) but allowed that I could possibly accept an SUV. At this time, I was not aware of the situation in the rental car garage downstairs. I descended the escalator to the level where the Budget Rental Cars are located and found a long line of people. The space was congested and not suitable for the number of people that had to wait. After the line was further backed up, people were lined up out of the doors at the base of the escalator into the parking garage. There were clearly not many cars in the Budget rental car space and well below the quantity needed for the number of people in line. My wait in this area and outside into the garage lasted an additional 1 hour 20 minutes. Budget personnel were directing people to specific vehicles or bringing vehicles up to the doors, not allowing the usual practice of allowing individuals to pick a car from the type rented. In my view, Budget must have accepted more reservations than the rental car location had available in cars. In total, the time at the rental car counter was 1 hour and the time waiting downstairs was an 1 hr 20 minutes. Traffic leaving the rental car pickup area was also slow, adding another 20 minutes, but this cannot specifically be assessed to Budget. If I ever rent a car again at Phoenix Sky Harbor, I will try to rent from a different rental car company.

Expect long lines and unreasonable waits. I reserved online through a well known Kirkland based warehouse club's portal, thinking they've been vetted. I should have done more due diligence and learned about all the 1 star reviews on the other popular reviews site that starts with "Y" and rhymes with Help. Even "checking-in online" 24 hours beforehand for a Thursday rental, it still took 90 minutes to wait in line before reaching the desk agent. There were only 2 agents consistently waiting on 100+ people in line. The other rental outfits inside the Phoenix Sky Harbor car rental hub didn't have anywhere near the same lines. Pay the $20 or so more and rent somewhere else. I'm sure your time will be worth it regardless of your budget. EDIT: 10/21/2022 I booked through your warehouse club portal. Prior to my arrival date, I checked-in online as suggested via a Budget email. However, after my arrival to my vehicle pickup location at the Phoenix Sky Harbor rental center, I still spent over 90 minutes waiting in line for additional check-in before I even reached the rental counter. My rental car also reeked of cigarette and marijuana smoke, which was quite unacceptable while I traveled with my family which includes 2 children under 11 years of age. I had to make use of my car's defrost window defrost because of unanticipated rain in Phoenix. The defrost was not functional and the rubber had torn off my windshield wipers and I did not have a clear unobstructed view through my windshield as a result, even after it stopped raining.

Do not rent it from them! They gave us incorrect location, there’s no car there, we just made rounds of the parking lot and got nothing. They just sent us to the parking lot thinking we would just wait there in middle of the night. We just kept on asking people around and got nothing. After a very ling time someone came and said he’d look for the car and then he got the car from a different place (not the space we were given) and then took it to fill the gas. So basically they sent us to parking lot where they didn’t have the car returned yet and gave us bunch of wrong information that too around 2 AM. We wasted more than 1 hour to go through all these troubles.

If, as they say about the Brits, you enjoy a good queue, this is the place for you. Upon arrival at the car rental building, we found a line of about 60 people waiting on 3 active counters. There are 17 terminals for customer service. At one point we saw 5 attendants, but that was the most. After about 90 minutes, we were at the counter. The attendant Tommy was very nice and did a great job of upselling us. We then went to stand in the "Express" car pickup area and spent another 40 minutes there. Once we were in the car, it took us about 15 minutes waiting to be checked out of the lot by the attendants there. To be clear, between the time waiting and the time being served for a prepaid reservation, it took us longer than our flight to Phoenix from Denver. And in case you're wondering, all of the other rental agencies there had plenty of attendants and no lines. Next time, we'll consider something other than price. No line ... priceless.

Extremely long wait, 9 o’clock at night. 5 clerks just standing around behind the counter. I watched at least 10 people leave the line. I guess when you shop by price you get what you pay for. I could not recommend budget Rent-A-Car. Spend $50 Additional and go with another Company. Are there probably wasn’t a body panel whether a scuff, ding or scratch

Worst experience in rental cars. Do not rent from Budget at Phoenix airport location. I'm a budget Fastbteak customer and waited in huge lines for a rental car that I reserved days ago. I have never seen anything like this where we waited in 3 long lines to get a car and still waiting. I'm about to cancel and go elsewhere. I'm for sure not renting from Budget in a very long time. The only positive was the worker Imelda who was frantically working hard to try and help all the upset customers. So kudo's to her.

Worst rental car I have ever had but a zero star wasn't an option! Go somewhere else! Rent a wreck probably provides better and cleaner vehicles. This car was embarrassing to drive. It had white paint all over the driver's window, no radio just a screen that hooked up to your phone, the seats were dirty/stained with who knows what, the outside had dents and scratches everywhere. Did I mention how dirty it was, I mean just discussing! I could go on and on about the hunk of junk they provided.

Easily the worst customer service experience that I have ever been a part of. My wife and I scheduled an early flight so that we could have a full day Saturday to enjoy our much needed time away as we celebrated our 10th anniversary. Our flight landed at the PHX airport at 10:29 AM PST. We proceeded to Budget where we had pre-booked our rental car for an 11 AM PST pickup. The nightmare began there. We waited over 5 1/2 hours in a line that was longer and slower moving than every other rental company’s line combined. There were easily 200+ customers (former) in line while the Budget counter was barely, if at all staffed. The people fortunate enough to not have paid in advance for their Budget rental were able to simply walk to another rental company where they were provided a vehicle in a timely manner. Zero explanation or representation from Budget management for over 3 hours. Finally the manager Wendy came out and explained “we have cars, everyone will get a car, we just don’t have people to wash the cars”. Budget’s inability to appropriately manage their business and their staffing shouldn’t result in my wife and I missing our appointments for our massages, our dinner reservations and a lost day of travel. Nothing was done to assist us or any other customers as people ranging from infants to the elderly suffered standing in line for over 5 1/2 hours. I saw one elderly woman fall down multiple times while waiting in line. They didn’t even have the decency to offer to assist her with a wheelchair or offer to hold her a place in line. The lack of customer service shown on this date, 10/7/23, by the Budget rental agency at PHX was truly sickening. Easily the worst travel experience that I have ever witnessed and/or been a part of. I am requesting that Budget refund me my money for the rental, as I lost one full day of my vacation to them, paid $100 at the airport for food/drink while waiting in line and missed and paid cancellation fees for my massage reservations.

******Renter Beware!!!!**** We like the vehicle, which we got on a special. Returned it in great condition. Then 3 weeks later received a letter saying we were automatically charges for “excessive interior dirt” $250.. As you can see on the pics, this is not so, my husband took pics upon returning it. And the service guy he returned it to looked inside and said nothing. They will be refunding us, however I will never work with a deceitful company like this again. Literally felt like they were trying to recapture the amount the lost on the sale we got for our rental. ******Renter Beware!!!!****

I had a prepaid car through Costco, the Budget agent was suppose to give us the the cheapest insurance. No when asked price she deflected and said it was the cheapest. Went to get car , worst ride ever. The maintenance light came on and was blinking after we got to Scottsdale from phoenix. Called budget customer service no answer just automated, when I finally got to an agent she said I could be able to bring the car back to any and they could take insurance off. I went to 2 budget offices in Scottsdale . One I called at Sunday at 11:30am the guy said come in on I get there at 1:15pm and they are closed. He didn’t tell us he would close at 12 noon. The. On Monday I called again get to the other budget office (near goodwill) at 11:12 am and they are closed also. I have picture and short video of the door being closed. Had to curtail my trip and excursions for not knowing the condition or status of the mechanicals of the car. Budget has lost a customer for life. Worst customer service. Where does insurance for a car cost $215. Then I don’t get a bill or chance to dispute I get an e receipt and I can’t even pull it up to see how budget scammed me. I travel and my family too much to this deal with this ever again

Appalling line to pick up car we had reserved. Tip: A sign said to proceed to level 1 if you are a member of “fastbreak”. We used our phones to join this Budget Club for free. We downloaded the Budget app for our phones. Then, went to the lower level where the cars are parked. This sped up the whole process a great deal. I recommend it, even if your reservation was made months before.

Do Not, I repeat. Do Not rent from here. You will regret it. The prepaid line is/ was a 3+ hour wait. (After reading other reviews, seems to be the norm not the exception) You can't fast pass as they will not take digital DLs. Dont put yourself through it. Pay the extra $ someplace else. If i could give them a minus score I would. If I could have canceled and gone someplace else, i would, they made that impossible with no customer service at the time I called ,9pm, once we did receive our car we get to the garage for pick up only to see someone drive off in it. Could it get any worse? Fortunately, a very kind gentleman cleaning cars stepped up and assigned us a different vehicle. This isn't an employee problem, the desk and garage employees were kind and efficient. This is a management or corporate issue. Budget is a huge No No oh ....No for me from now on.

Once again, I should have read the reviews before I booked with this company. They had a special promotion with Southwest Airlines, so I thought I would give it a shot. When I arrived at the rental car location there was no one in line at most of the companies, but the Budget one had at least 100 people in it. After standing patiently for over an hour and the line not moving, I moved on to a competitor and was out of there in no time. Lesson learned.

It took 2 hours to get from the end of the line to the front desk. They only had 4-5 employees processing customers, and each interaction took 5-10 minutes. When I left, the line was still out the door. Sara Wendt was the manager on duty, sounds like she needs to be replaced with someone more competent at managing. Rent from anywhere else but Budget.

The worst experience! My husband and I rented a car for our vacation. I made the reservation in his name because he was going to be the one driving. As he was getting our luggage, I headed to Budget to stand in line and start the process. The lady was super rude telling me she’s not doing anything until my husband gets there. I told her he was literally getting off the shuttle right now and I had his wallet with his license. After I gave her the same attitude and aggression back she agreed to start as we waited for him to walk up. A minute later she again said he has to be there and she wasn’t going to help me. He was in sight at that point and walking up so I told her he’s right there! With an attitude she continued working. She asked us if we wanted them to put the gas in or us. We were visually confused on what she meant by that and she continued to demand a yes or no answer as we asked her what she meant. I am used to just putting in the gas that was used or they charge to do so. She wasn’t asking this. She said something about a full tank and if we wanted them to fill it. We headed to the parking lot to find the car. The car was white and had chipped paint all along the back bumper that was black. It was in horrible condition. My husband opened the door as I stood near the trunk. I could smell the cigarette smoke from the car like someone was actively sitting in the car smoking a cigarette. I went to the station they have in the garage. Told the lady what we just experienced. At that point I asked her what is the cost of an upgrade. Thinking the upgrade would give us something nicer. We paid $30 a day extra for this upgrade. We went over to the car. Is was a black Challenger. Dirty. At this point I just want to leave so we took the car and head to the hotel. I roll down my window and at one point roll it back up and find the switch is broken and the window doesn’t roll up. I contacted their Facebook thinking I would get to message someone and no one has contacted me. I feel like we overpaid for horrible customer service and a dirty car.

I haven’t used Budget too much in the past, but after terrible experiences with Avis and Hertz, Budget is my new go to. The line was really long to get the car, which was a bummer. But the service and the car received were excellent!! I will definitely use Budget again.

I waited in line after a long flight for TWO HOURS to get my vehicle. When I picked it up, there was no attendant, and the keys were simply in the dash. I drove about 7 miles to my hotel, and the next day, I discovered one of the tires was flat!! I called the Roadside Assistance number, and they were going to charge me! It was the worst experience I ever had renting a vehicle. Turo will soon put them out of business. Their 2.6 rating is well-deserved.

If I can give negative points, I would. So far 2.5 hours waiting to rent a car... and yes, I have a reservation. No information is being passed on to the customers waiting in line. If Budget does not make this right, by giving a huge discount on the rental I've been waiting for.... I am never renting from these guys. Even if Budget is cheaper that other rentals in PHX it may be better to go somewhere else. This is ridiculous and very poor customer service.

Is 0 stars an option? Because that’s how I really feel. Waited 2 hours to get our rental car. The line was the longest by far in the entire rental car center. All the way out to the entrance doors by the time we left. No apology or discount of any kind for the insane wait. Claimed the cars were backed up in waiting to be washed. Absolutely awful experience. I will never rent from Budget again!

Overpriced, unmaintained vehicle, had to wipe windshield every 5 minutes during light showers until I could get washer fluid. Rear hatch seal messed up and sounded like you were driving with a window down and had to raise your voice to talk, Never gave me copy of contract, said they upgraded my rental at no cost but after I returned found out they upgraded my rental for an extra $500. Rent with them at your own risk, as for me, I will NEVER use them again!

Literally the worst rental car experience I have ever had. After renting probably 100 cars over the last 20 years, you guys have achieved something that up to this point no other car rental company had ever done! It actually took longer to rent the car (over 3 hours) than it took me to fly from Seattle to Phoenix. What is scary is that as I sat in three different lines (paperwork, car assignment, and exit) I was able to identify at least three different methods you could have used improved the cluster-$$%## you guys consider your business - and it isn't even my business. It will be a miracle if you guys are still in business in a couple years.

The horrible experience started with over an hour in line to get our rental car with only 2 and then 1 agent working. We drove to the Grand Canyon and the “service required in 12 miles” light came on. Our attempts to get assistance from your company were unsuccessful by phone, online, or road side assistance. We were told we needed to take it to a counter, we were 150 miles from the counter. Went to Flagstaff airport counter which altered our vacation plans only to get the only SUV they had which had just been turned in and had not been cleaned. The next day 3 of 4 tires low pressure lights came on. When we filled up air they were all at 26 psi and were supposed to be at 35 psi. Last straw was one of the tires had little to no traction on the tread. The lack of customer service for the price we paid to rent your vehicle when we had so much trouble, was terrible. We will never recommend your company to anyone.

If I could give -1 starts I would. Long story short - don't trust them. We showed up 1.5 hours early as our flights were in early. They didn't have a full size car for us at the time, so they upgraded us. We booked through Costco Travel, so I said that we could wait until the smaller car became available. The staff person helping us said it would be charged for the full sized since that was on them. He asked if we had coverage and we said yes, we don't need any supplemental items or coverage. We gave our credit card and he quickly walked us through agreements telling us it was to "acknowledge we were accepting the car and were responsible for any damages." I verified that all charges were prepaid through Costco & we would be filling up the car before we returned it - meaning we shouldn't owe anything. He said yes. The car was in good condition, so no complaints there. At the end of our trip, we filled the car up with gas and returned in the same condition we got it in. The registered the car as returned and said we were good to go. The next day we get a $930 charge from Budget. After calling Costco Travel first, they verified that we shouldn't have gotten any other charges, as Budget had been paid by Costco already. They looked into the charges and said they added on multiple additional coverage and supplemental items, and said they should not have added any of them. So I called Budget Customer Service, explained the situation, and the service man went through the agreement and receipt with us. My Favorite Part: The budget customer service noted a charge that HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW what it was. Thankfully they were able to refund our account for the unapproved charges, but what a SCAM. The fact that he would add in additional charges that we verbally said no to and not be upfront about them proves that Budget as a company is allowing their employees to overcharge individuals and hope they don't notice or question charges. Be Better... Budget

Due to staffing issues and lack of cars available per one staff member, it took 2.5 hours to get vehicle picked up. Booked an SUV, and got stuck in a truck. Truck was beat up, dented in multiple places, windshield wipers torn and unusable, rear tire bald and below dot regulations. Had to cancel a trip to Grand Canyon due to safety reasons and tires. Tried to talk with budget staff when returning and they told me it would be a 30 minute wait to speak with someone. I would have missed my flight. Never will use Budget again based on this experience.

The vehicle had cigarette smoke smell. Gas was only 3/4 full instead of a full tank. I went to the Budget kiosk where I was picking up the truck but Budget employee worked there was not helpful at all. He told me to talk to the person on the way out. I mentioned these 2 issues to the person at the exit gate. I also mentioned that the sign says that there would be a fine if you smoke or vape in rental vehicles and I didn't want to be responsible for the cigarette smoke smell. He said that don't worry about that and It's been reported before. He gave me a paper form that showed that gas tank was 3/4 full. I mentioned that when I returned the vehicle today but I noticed that I was still charged for fuel and some other special service charge on my bill receipt even though I fueled the truck to more than 3/4 full.

We reserved a yukon months in advance. I was told that we could get a denali if we upgraded and ended up with a yukon xl after a half hour wait. The vehicle we received was a wreck every body panel on the vehicle was dented or scratched and was never cleaned on the inside. When i pointed that out the employee he said that's all we have. So I basically had to pay for an upgrade that i didn't receive and the vehicle was dirty and a wreck. I tried to talk to someone when we returned it and was told dents and scratches are normal. I don't believe that i should be paying for an upgrade but at this point it's probably too late. I believe they know that people are in a hurry to catch a flight home so they won't help you and try to delay you. We usually rent from enterprise and never have had a problem that wasn't solved.

Absolutely the worst rental car experience I’ve ever had. I waited in line longer that at Disneyland.Over 2 hrs! I made my reservation weeks in advance. Absolutely no excuse for this. My friend missed her daughters graduation lunch we had to rearrange our schedule. It cost me extra for hotel accommodations in Sedona. The list goes on and on I was offered no discounts and no apologies. My pic are all time stamped it was over 2 hrs!! No other rental car place had a line. They only had 3 people working and did not have enough cars. I was happy to get one even if I had paid for a premium and was given an economy and no price adjustments made. I was given zero discounts or apologies!!! Horrible absolutely horrible

UNROAD WORTHY CAR We just rented a Dodge RT after waiting in an unreasonable line. We got a flat tire after driving no more than 50 miles. The phone call to the emergency roadside assistance took over half an hour. We were told that we would receive a text message with details of when assistance would arrive. We got no such text message and were only told that it was "being processed". After further waiting, we discovered a tire garage across the road and decided to take care of it ourselves. The mechanic was shocked to discover that the tire was slashed and insisted on checking the rest of the car. He discovered one more tire in terrible condition. He told us the car was unsafe to drive. We immediately took it to the nearest Budget franchise in Scottsdale where we received a replacement car and were told to take it up directly with Budget at the airport. After a further wait on the phone, I was offered no more than two days free on my four day car rental! After giving me a car that could have potentially killed me and wasting a good half of my day, I would expect a full refund. This is nothing short of criminal!

You should be called rent-a-wreck. The car we were given had multiple dents, the right front parking light and blinker was sunken into the front grill and the gas tank was 1/4 full. The rug on the passenger front was ripped. We couldn’t believe this car was made available for rent. We arrived late in the evening from the east coast and didn’t realize how poor the car was until after we left the rental center. I did report that the gas tank was not full and did get a credit for the fuel I had to add. The people at the front desk were very nice and cheerful, if it weren’t for this I would have rated our experience even lower. I do have pictures of the dents and file gauge showing 1/4 tank.

I am a Fastbreak member and we arrived an hour later than expected, no contract in my name out front and our car was still not ready. The line was long and another guy showed up for a few minutes to help then he left. We were told to go to R5 and our car would be there, it wasn't. Dragged the luggage back to the booth and we got another car, this one would not start. The third car worked. I don't blame the guy (Travis) that was trying to help us, he was working hard to help everyone. It looked like his team abandoned him. Maybe Travis should do the hiring.

Our rental experience at Phoenix Airport Budget rental car was wonderful. The gentleman at the rental counter was very helpful and made the process easy and quick. He was very kind and explained all the important information. We loved the car we got, a Jeep Wrangler Sahara, 4 door. It exceeded our expectations and it was perfect for our needs. We had reserved a 4 door Jeep Wrangler and they had it for us. The return process went smoothly and everyone was very nice. We couldn’t be happier with the great service all around!

All I can say is-- it was a terrible experience! Would not recommend Budget after this experience. It took two hours and twenty minutes to get my pre-reserved vehicle. Almost $200 in "fees" over quoted price. After standing in a long line to get to the counter, then we had to go down stairs and wait in another line for the vehicle. The vehicle had scratches. The front tires needed to be replaced....very worn on outside. The very worst car rental experience I have ever had.

Look over your rental good, we received a vehicle that was repainted do to body damage that was difficult to see do to poorly lite garage for pick up and as well this vehicle had retread tire on one of the rear tires. Retreads are dangerous and thought they were outlawed for use. Poor customer service returning the vehicle no one was available or showed up to assist.

I always book thru budget. Usually get new or almost new cars. On pick up I got a 80k Jeep wrangler that I wouldn’t drive ever. Car was a POS. IT TOOK AN HOUR TO GET ME IN A BETTER JEEP. that Jeep was filthy. No air in the tires. Smelled wet, some one took it off road and tried to clean it with a wet rag. Couldn’t see out the windows. Had to find a car wash and a pay to inflate the tires.

Waited for a long time and was given an old Chevy beat up that smelled of urine. When I told them this was unacceptable they gave me another vehicle that was a Chevy, this too was beat up with a broken antenna. I originally rented a passenger van 12 seater and was told this was off the lot?!!!! After a few hours of waiting and back and forth banter the vehicle I rented finally arrived!!!! I will NEVER use Budget again!!! Also upon return of vehicle the lady at the front desk attempted to get a hold of her manager at which he hung up on her!!! Wow!!!!

I rented a car for one day. I got in to Phoenix at 9:00 at night and waited in line for almost an hour to finally get a car. When I finally got to the counter the lady that helped me was very nice but she sold me a gas refill deal for $15.99 and assured me that my trip to Paradise, AZ the next day would be under the mileage limit allowed. Apparently the mileage was over the minimum so they charged me $99 to refill the tank even though i had used less than a quarter of a tank. The starting price was not cheap either so I ended up paying $400 to drive a car about 80 miles for one day! There were a lot of other rental companies there and I can assure you that I will be using one of them from now on. On the positive side the car was great but I will never rent from Budget again! I really wish I had read other reviews as the management (not the people working at the desk) do not seem to care that customers are waiting forever and overpaying. Update: I have changed my one star to three. After sending in a complaint, Budget refunded me half of my money. They sent me the message one day after I sent in the complaint. Great customer service and I am so glad they acknowledged that mistakes were made. I am glad to see that some companies still care about their customers!

The vehicle I reserved was available at the time of pick up, unlike another rental company that I previously dealt with. The pick up and drop off process was quick and easy. I would have given this a 5 star review if the employee who I had questions for at the time of returning the vehicle would have provided better customer service.

We had the best experience with Budget, only after booking with another company who didn’t have any vehicles available for us. The customer service representative in Phoenix Airport, Gina, was so friendly, accommodating and helpful. We ended up paying less than what we booked and had a car available right away! The car was in great shape and helped us get to our destination. Great value and service.

I am torn on how to rate my experience. I am a Fast break customer. Usually, it is very efficient to get my car and get on the road. Today, was unusual. There was a long line at the Fast break window. I waited just over 30 minutes. I received a message to select a car in zone 1, but there were no cars in zone one, and really almost no cars in the budget lot. The employee was very courteous. He upgraded my vehicle. The customers were making it an even rougher day. Overall, I got what I needed and better than I paid for, just a little slower than I am used to.

Would have given no stars, but couldn't. Prepaid for vehicle ahead of time - upon arriving to pick up car I was strongly advised I needed to pay $580 more in extra charges for insurance, even though I have my own personal insurance and brought the proof of such. Be careful if you do business with these people - they are hustlers! Have rented many cars in the past and this has never happened. Original rental was $807 and they charged me $580 extra. I also did not receive the type of vehicle I reserved for. Not exactly a good deal!!

Visited Phoenix Arizona with my family for a tour to Grand Canyon. Since it would be a long drive with more than 230 miles each way, we reserved a standard SUV. Was expecting to get a Honda CRV or something like that but we got an almost brand-new Jeep Grand Cherokee instead. This car fits our need perfectly - spacious, all wheel drive, with all new media and comfort features. The best part is the car-borne touch screen console with wide screen GPS navigation system - the GPS system made our trips to any locations far or near like very trivial. It not only finds the destinations quickly, but also shows all exits and lanes in a very driver-friendly manner. Overall, this is my best experience in renting a car and the staff at Budget are very friendly. Thumbs up to Budget!

I'm being generous with 2 stars. Just like others have mentioned, booked a package through Kirkland based well known for quality service company but was really disappointed with this location's service and car. After a 2 hour in line wait, I got a beat up dented and scratched up vehicle. Luckily it drove OK and had no issues with it. Well, I felt sorry for the folks behind me as the line got longer and longer all the way through the hallway and outside. Let me also mention that if you're enrolled in their "Fastbreak" program it doesn't mean anything. They sent me to the regular line as the fastbreak counter was closed. This is a big corporation and most big corporations do not care about customers. Only profit.

The Budget rep that rented the car to me used scare tactics to try to make me believe my insurance wouldn’t cover the rental properly. He then shared that even the smallest scratch ding or rock pit would cause the car to be out of service and I would have to pay the daily out of service fee until it was repaired. When I went to the garage to get my rental it was covered in dings, dents, rust and scratches. It was certainly not out of service being repaired.

This is the worst budget that I have ever been to the attended behind the counter after me telling him I booked for a full size vehicle said I only had a choice of a rave 4 or a compact car Volkswagen golf was trying to give me what he wanted to give me not what I booked. I had to ask for a manager for him to magically pull a full size vehicle out of the air for me. He was very rude as if to say why should I be picky about what car I paid for he should be able to pick the car that I pay for. Once I got the vehicle it had a dent in the back and scratches all around the front who wants to go get a rental car that looks like it's been in a wreck twice. I have a trip I need to take and come right back other than that I wouldn't have been renting anything from these people all of those reviews are true and the only reason I went ahead and took a rental from them because I have important business to take. If I have another trip to take out of here I will not be renting anything from this budget in Phoenix Arizona

At this location, Travis was a life-saver after the counter agent gave us a huge SUV that seats 8, just for 2 people. Travis listened to our issues and professionally fixed our vehicle to a much more sane size vehicle for two women. Travis was amazing and you should be lucky to have more like him. I can't give the sales agent more than a one rating as he was condescending and a bit rude whenwe asked how our $480 rental turned into a $780 rental.

We were pushed to purchase the fuel plan we don't need. Your service personnel at PHX airport sell us the fuel plan without giving us complete information and rushed my husband to sign the agreement. When I called your 1-800 number for bill inquiry, your guy just hung up on me without even talking down my rental agreement number yet. What's wrong with your company? The car was not clean, found a used mask in the car. And if you call someone who just signs you where to park is the help at check-out, I really got nothing to say. Never ever rent car from Budget.

Where do I start. At the counter for over 30 minutes. Have 4 plus employees trying to assist in finalizing the car rental. I was asked for my email address 5 times or so. When they finally figured things out I walked all the way to the spot where my car was supposed to be at and it was empty. Walked back to the rental counter only to be greeted by a manager whose lackluster customer service skills left me further dissatisfied. He didn’t apologize for the inconvenience or even act like he cared. So after about an hour of dismal service I ended up in a Nissan Sentra that smelled like feet.

Very long line and wait, but many open kiosks, so it wasn't bad. Car was excellent, service experience was very good! I recommend this car rental!!!

I loved the concept of having a separate rental center. I didn't mind the 10 minute drive. All the rental car agencies in one location was very convenient. Picking up our rental was easy. Our Budget rep was very nice and friendly checking us in and preparing our paperwork. Upon dropping off the rental, that process was easy too. The rental attendant was very nice and polite as well. I was very satisfied with the service from beginning to end.

There were twenty plus cars being turned in (including several passenger vans) with one person directing traffic and one person checking in (who was never seen). The amazing thing is I was charged for gas (have a receipt) even though emailed receipt shows a full tank. I sat on hold over 1 hr. today (hung up on twice) for a 20. charge. It's a principle issue
