Waited in line for over 2 hours to get a car from Budget. Was told they didn't have enough staff to clean the cars. I was mid-way through their line queue, their were twice as many people behind me as there were in front of me. I cannot even imagine how long the people at the end of the line waited!

Simple and easy. You get off the plane. Get your luggage. Follow the signs to the Rental Cars. Everything is well marked. You take a tram to the Rental Car facility. All the rental car companies are in one building. Like I saidโ€ฆ. Simple and easy!

Never rent Budget, the line prepay was hours long wait, yes HOURs, they make it impossible to phone and change or cancel your rental, and watch your credit card a week later. They like to suddenly double charge. I have fixed multiple complaints to be ignored on them all. Will be filing with my bank for fraud next. If I could give this place a negative rating I would.

This rental car facility is straight up HUGE!! We have a used a few different rental companies within the building on our way through Phoenix and have never had any issues! It has never been packed, always clean and the wait to pick up the car was nice, quick, and easy. They do also have a few spots you can pick up a quick bite to eat or drink. The only downfall to this facility is it a good 10-15 minute bus ride to the airport so be sure to get there in ample time. The good news is we have never had an issue with the buses and have never waited more than 5 minutes to ride on one.

The airport was different and unique; waiting for the shuttle to take me to the Rent-A-Car was a different story. All in all, it was beautiful to appreciate Phoenix. The hospitality was exceptional. I donโ€™t know What I did to have so many people look out for me, but I understand it.

Got the managers special. Thought it would be good. Turned out it was an electric car. Sister had no clue about electric, so we tried to get a different car. Cost increased by $250 to have a gas fueled car. No info on how to ลตork it, where to charge it or anything. I was not happy with how the situation was handled. Car had swirling circle of death like a computer & no one from Thrifty knew what it meant. Yes, this is a bad review for Thrifty. They should know how to operate their vehicles or not give them to people to rent. Info was not in the manual, either.

Take the sky Harbor train from the airport and follow the signs for car rental center to get to Thrifty. The location is easy to find, and the clerk was very helpful, and his courtesy was excellent. The price was competitive, and the car selection was reasonable. Signage to obtain the car and security were excellent as well. The cars are in a covered garage which is helpful in 115โฐ heat of Phoenix in July.

Budget car rental. The line to check in was looooongg. Took about 30 minutes to get to the counter. It is the airport so that's expected. Once we got to the counter it took 5 minutes to get paperwork and another 5 minutes to walk and get the vehicle. I did see people at the counter for up to 10 minutes just to get their reservation. The guy we got was doing his job pretty good, he was getting people out of there fast. I got the car I requested so I was happy. Dropping off was quick and easy. There's staff to help guide you for drop off.

Very clean and large rental car center compared to other airports! Clean bathrooms and places to sit. Iโ€™ve had great experiences with Thrifty and Sixt in the past. Professional and helpful for late night check ins. I would avoid Hertz. Last month, we waited over an hour in line one night with a bunch of other customers because they only had 2 people working. Other agencies had multiple workers and even self-check in computers. Hertz here has also had poor service unfortunatelyโ€ฆ Buses are easy to get to when going back and forth to the terminal. Iโ€™m looking forward to the train to open. Will be faster and even easier!

This is a really nice Airport! You have to go upstairs to the train/tram to get to the rental cars. Or it will be a VERY long walk ๐Ÿ˜‚. I recommend this airport and the train.

Great experience. Not very many people in the rental places. Well except the place I went to. I won't name drop as it was most certainly a one off situation. Very clean and such friendly people. I even got an upgrade at no additional cost what a plus right! Fingers crossed when u visit again I am greeted with such friendly faces and such great accommodations. Other than that I am not sure what else to write? Ohh the bus service experience to the rental car place is coming to an end sadly. We had quite the adventure with Johnathan as he was so enthusiastic and safety minded with all of us.

The process to get to rent a car once you have landed is very simple. Signage is easy to read and navigate through the airport, until you reach the PHX Sky Train; an automated train that transports for free travelers between Valley Metro Rail at 44th and Washington streets, the East Economy Parking area, the airport terminals, the 24th Street PHX Sky Train Station, and the Rental Car Center. Trains arrive and depart every 3-5 minutes and operate 24 hours a day. All the rental car companies are in one building. Their courtesy was excellent. The price was competitive, and the car selection was reasonable. Pick-up and drop off very smooth.

My sister rented the Toyota hybrid Prius . Let me tell you that car was amazing it drove itself , it stopped , and all I had to do is make sure the car did what is was suppose to do . Let me relax and have fun hanging out with my sister . And had amazing gas mileage when we weren't going Soo fast . What can I say me and my sister both have a heavy foot we like to drive fast but we got there safe and sound and they got to do the tour for Warner Brothers backstage .thank you Payless car rental company

The online reservation process with this car rental service is efficient and straightforward. I can easily book a car in advance, and I always receive a confirmation email with all the necessary details.

Thank goodness we read about the BUDGET FASTBREAK program. We turned a 45 minute wait line, into a walk to the garage and boom.... into the car. Busy place with sparse customer service people available.

This place is the place to return your rental. Very Very efficient and fun. I had a ride all lined up and they are open 24 hours! I couldn't make it to my local office by five o'clock so I buzzed up to the airport and it was a quick drive up there's and my ride followed me I was very grateful. I returned the rental with a ton of road trip trash such as empty cups and empty candy wrappers and I said it's got a ton of road trip trash! And he said good! Looks like you had a great time and I did. I enjoyed returning my car here and will do so again.

Well marked places to return car. It would be great if there was some light that pointed to where the entrance to the lobby is after returning the car. Even though there are signs above.

Nice place that was easy to access for both pickup and drop off. My wife needs a wheelchair and they were Johnny on the spot, stayed with us the whole time. Hertz was the rental we used and they did a fine job and very fast. Shuttle was nice going to the center.

It's a super well organized rental car center. We got in and out in no time. Do keep in mind you have to ride either the sky train or the bus between the rental car center and the airport. When you are returning your car add 20-30 minutes for a safe cushion of time on top of what you have planned for flight check in and security.

Fairly easy to rent. Waited outside for staff to get car, no one was around. Easy to return, just a quick drop off, but kinda tricky to find your way back through parking garage.

Use buckeye to get here not 16th !! Thank you google maps๐Ÿ˜ฌ. K love you. Basic rental car experience friends however I was pleased with all the touches. I was hoping to run into someone with a purple vest as knowing they were there brought me joy. How sweet the bus driver was so awesome!! She was very kind to me and the children and went the extra mile to get us back to the correct terminal!! Happy car rental!

Service is great. Staff is friendly. I arrived to pick up my rental one hour earlier than scheduled and had no issues. Make sure your credit card chip works ! It seems to be the only way to pay for your rental. The car was great too! I used it to travel around couple of cities in Arizona and never had an issue with it. Just make note that this model might be too small for groups over 4 people. I think it is a smaller version of an SUV. I liked that it had CarPlay with a big screen so it was easy to use the GPS with my Iphone! Drop off was easy as well just make sure to follow the airport signs because the address they gave me was not working very well in my GPS. All rentals are located in the same building which was very convenient. There is an airport shuttle you can take that takes you there free of charge! Overall I am a satisfied customer! I hope you find this helpful and have a wonderful trip! <3

Convenient frequent, airtrain to/from terminals. NOT a pain in the butt shuttle bus and having to lift luggage on/off a bus ... roll right onto a train car instead. Well marked signage to return your rental car. Clean large restroom. Only con, no luggage carts ...

I think the rental car center in Phoenix is larger than some of the airports Iโ€™ve visited for work travel. Shuttles come at regular intervals to and from the airport, just pay attention to which terminal. The different companies are clearly marked, lots of escalators and some elevators for those with luggage. Easy to navigate for both pick-up and returns. Some food & coffee options in case you plan to be there for a while. The murals are really pretty too!

Far from airport but did have a train running there from the terminal. However, my husband and I are both disabled and needed wheelchairs. It took a while to get pushers then they were put out about having to take us and our luggage to rental car area. (Once I saw how far it was, I couldn't blame them) . Then rental car agent at thrifty was rude and sarcastic. One wheelchair pusher left us and one pusher had to take both of us plus our luggage up to get our rental car. Then there was no one to get the car so my pusher had to retrieve the car and help us get settled into the car. Poor service! Wheelchair pusher (the one who stayed with us the whole time) was the only bright spot in our car rental experience!

Very easy experience with enterprise! Catch the rail from the airport to the center, checked in onlineโ€ฆ walked right up to the car and youโ€™re on the way. Return just as easy! I wish other airports worked their rental cars like this too, central location was wonderful

Fast and convenient Nice, automated tram going to/from airport. Just make sure you know how to get back here (and allow extra time to fill-up) before your return flight!

I am only giving one star to Budget rental because we were in line a full three hours and our transaction only took five minutes. The other six or so rental desk were empty so I guess Budget had the best prices but I canโ€™t figure out why you had to wait in line so long. Getting to rental center was very easy!! The airport was clean and easy to navigate!! I give the airport rental area five stars!! Finding and returning car to airport was also super easy.

Very accessible, clean, friendly staff and lots of food option at the airport. It was a very smooth experience transiting at the airport. The rental car service is via train. It runs to and from. Restrooms are very clean They also have a family restroom and a nursing place security is also located, conveniently we received our bags from the belt almost in no time. There are lots of food options. Only thing I was disappointed by was the cost of electronic goods. They are ridiculously expensive had forgotten by Apple charger at the airport store. It cost $40. I somehow managed and while exiting the airport there is a TJ Maxx just 10 minutes away and purchased a brand new wire for five dollars . Downtown is not that far from the airport. There is tons of nice hotels to stay and lots of food option whether you are vegetarian or non-vegetarian or a vegan. There is apple of choices to select from for everyone.

Wonderful rental from National! From the airport you catch a bus to get to the building. Very clear signage coming back as to where to drop off the car. Catching the bus back to the terminal. Highly recommend national for a car rental!

What can I say except Caveat Emptor. Had a reservation at Budget. Waited in line for 40 minutes, they let a crying person break the line, and couldn't rectify the extra 300 plus dollars over the scheduled reservation. They didn't have our car, but were nice enough to charge us a lot more for what they did have!! We drove out shell-shocked! We returned the car within 24 hours, but that was another hassle altogether. We didn't receive a receipt when promised, many days and phone calls later. But, we did receive extra charges!!! Awesome for budget, bad for consumers. My advice, get to your hotel and rent anywhere but here, unless of course you like getting hoodwinked and charged "40 percent" extra airport taxes.

We love the new set up with the trams to the car rentals. It's so easy to slide the suitcases on and off. There were previously shuttle buses that you rode to the car rental. You had to lift heavy suit cases on and off, which gets more difficult as you get older. We found that the car rental center is easy to get around, well marked, and well organized. We've used Phoenix Skyway Airport and Car Rental several times, probably 10-12 and its always a good experience.

TL/DR Bottom line, I hope you've got a bunch of time to kill while waiting and searching for the car you reserved that they may or may not have. 1 star What a disorganized waste of time. Got there at 7am, only one other person in line, and waited an hour before anyone even attempted to process our reservations. When someone finally did, they were clueless and it took another half hour to actually complete the transaction. Then they said, "Your car is in this spot, someone will be there to give you the keys." Then you have to go down the elevator/escalator and navigate your way through a giant underground parking garage to find your car. I waited several minutes for the person to give me the keys, then finally asked an employee who was cleaning a nearby car, and they said the keys are already in the car. So I go search the car for the fob; not on the dash, not in the glove box, not in the center console, finally found them under the driver's seat. The car had about 18,000 very hard miles on it, but it did get me around for the weekend and the ac worked. I had a friend also visiting that weekend and they simply did not have the car he reserved. Did they upgrade him? Nope, downgraded.

Outstanding service from counter to car pick up. I usually get names, but because both reps we're fantastic, no names are necessary... Great start to my trip... Drop off was just as outstanding as the pick up... Would definitely use this enterprise location again!!!

It took 2 hours to get our rental car despite having a reservation. The line was long to check in for our reservation, and then we were not given clear instructions on where to go to pick up the car, so that took an additional 30 minutes trying to figure out where to go and getting different information from different people. Tomorrow, we are returning the rental car, I hope it goes better without any issues.

I rented from Enterprise. The whole place was very clean and spacious. The people were friendly and it was a very easy experience.

  • 3/5 Shivam S. 1 year ago on Google
It has a lot of options but almost all of them have similar rates and options. Once it connects sky train to the terminal, it will become more passenger friendly. The work on it is already in progress. Drop off points for some rental agencies isnโ€™t very clear and the maps donโ€™t lead you to the drop off center correctly .

  • 5/5 Tiuh H. 7 months ago on Google
I cannot praise the customer service of this car rental service enough. From the moment I made my reservation to the return of the vehicle, their staff went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. They were attentive, friendly, and truly committed to customer satisfaction.

It's about a 10-15 minute bus ride to rental center from airport. The rental center was very clean. Most rental agencies tended to their customers expeditiously. Thrifty Car Rental was the exception. Their line was ridiculously long and the wait time to get to an agent was 45+ minutes. We rented a camero. Nice looking car. No issues with car. Fortunately, there were 2 only 2of us because there is no leg room in the back seat.

  • 5/5 ellie h. 1 year ago on Google
Car Rental Center is always quiet and clean when we arrive at night. This time we rode the Sky Train. We accidentally got on the wrong direction but an easy fix to get off at the next stop and ride it in the correct direction. It was a very short walk up to the car rental center curbside.

Slow. Poor attentiveness. The attendant took a break when there's a line of people waiting! Totally wasted our time. That was an hour of our vacation time we will never get back.... ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿคฌ.
