I would have loved to give this place five stars but unfortunately it was almost in the one range. After being so excited to try a vegan taco spot, I was incredibly let down. I ordered the Nachos and this is what I came home with. I thought maybe I had misread the menu, but after rereading it, they didn’t add cilantro, jalapeños, or guacamole- all the best things! The chips were actually quite good, and the queso too! (Which Is why I elected for two stars instead of one) But for FIFTEEN dollars?? Absolutely not. Would not recommend this place, there must be better out there.

This place brings joy to my heart! The food is incredible. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Thank you for making this Vegan Latina so so so happy to have a part of my culture back that I never thought I would experience the same way again. Truly incredible job capturing Authentic Mexican Street Food favorites and making them out of ingredients that are so much better for our bodies! I will be back soon.

Hands-down best authentic Mexican vegan tacos ever! Drive to Phoenix off of Indian school Rd to hit this food truck!! it is an absolute must!! I travel all the way from Tempe to Phoenix just to get these tacos 🌮 🤤 The asada tacos are drool worthy! The asad vegano fries beyond delicious, they fill you right up HITTING every taste bud! all of the menu is so delicious so amazing and so authentic to the flavor. I order here almost every day every week and it is definitely worth it because it fits every craving. Feeds your tummy and it makes you feel so good! They really do feed the community with love and soul.❤️💯 I hope that they stay around for a while maybe even get a restaurant. Or more delivery range options… (hint hint -Tempe) This place is a must TRY AND to go to!!

5months... later came back about 20 minutes before they closed. Still had top knotch service and the food was amazing. Thus time had the veganos fries and taco plate! Stellar service AGAIN. Delicious food AGAIN! Came in on a Saturday and there was a line. Loved to see that. The food was amazing and I'm definitely ready for more! Highly recommend the birria tacos!

Hands down the best vegan tacos I’ve ever had. I tried the Al pastor, the pollo and the birria. First, I love that the Al pastor and pollo were also GF! The “meats” were so well seasoned; they truly had the same texture as the meat they were impersonating. The jackfruit birria was absolutely incredible; perfectly sweet, spicy and savory. I will be back again soon!

When I get asked what I miss eating as a vegan, proper Mexican street food is ALWAYS my answer. Tacos Veganos is the reason I can now say, nothing. THANK YOU for amazing, authentic Mexican food that this vegan can rave about. Also, the customer service?! AMAZING! You feel like family from the second you walk in. We were lucky enough to have Sophia help us. She’s an angel. 🖤

it’s 2 am and i’m thinking about how much i love the tacos from tacos veganos. and i don’t usually leave reviews, but it occurred to me that i should, because they really deserve a shout out. if i could get a gallon bucket of just the straight up al pastor meat to eat with my bare hands, i would. this place is ridiculous. i constantly crave tacos from this place. i think they might genuinely be my favorite food ever, which is hilarious because before i went vegan i didn’t care for tacos. my dad, who is not vegan and is a regular meat eater, loves the tacos here as well, and every time i get them he wants something. today we were eating them, and he said that the tacos from here are better than any non vegan tacos he’s ever had. if you’re thinking about trying this place out, DO IT. everything here is delicious and i couldn’t recommend them more. also their horchata is legit. basically just order the whole menu.

Amazing Vegan Tacos!! 10/10 for the food, I've never had such amazing tacos anywhere and I can't wait to visit AZ again and get tacos from here because YUM. We got an assortment of different types but the jackfruit were definitely our favorite! Parking in the area was ample and the business was easy to access. The dinning area was nothing special so we decided to do take out. The lady at the ordering desk was pretty snotty and wasn't very customer service friendly - she seemed pretty annoyed to be working, which is unfortunate because the front of house associates set the tone for the entire experience. With some friendlier customer service this very well would have been a five-star experience.

The best, most authentic vegan Mexican food in AZ! We’ve loved everything we’ve ever tried (especially the burritos and nachos) and are so full afterwards with the giant portions.

This place was only, oh, the most life- changing place you could imagine. We each got the taco plate and loved them. Also, we shared the vegan fries, and they had a cahsew sauce that really works. I'd say this blew my socks off and if I could give it restaurant of the year, I would.

I had the asada quesadilla and the horchata And honestly I give this place a 10/10 The horchata is next level, I think it has coconut creamer in it and it tastes delicious.

Vegans and vegetarians alike and unite for our Taco Tuesday's have been saved ! Finally a safe place to eat tacos!"besides home of course " . After countless questions of " is there lard in these bean" and eventually finding a chunk of chorizo in my bean dip I was assured had no meat I've grown very weary of eating at any mexican restaurant which sucks causeI love it!. So happy to finally find a place me and my family can enjoy some flavors of Mexico. I had a jackfruit birrea plate which was good can't wait to go back and try some other options. Employees were nice but you got to do all the work, it was hard to find a table for 4 most every seating was for 2 people, place was Busier than I would of expected, prices were a bit more for the type of food it was but feeding a family of 4 will add up i guess.hope they stick around or open more locations !

Thank you, Yelp, for inviting us to the Elite Experience at Tacos Veganos. Serving plant based Mexican street food. I'm not a big fan of plant Based products being a card-carrying carnivore, but I am open-minded and adventurous and willing to see how close they can come to the real thing. The chef owner is very charismatic and is very passionate about bringing quality Veqan Mexican cuisine to the valley. Just give me some Quesabirria and a Corona, and I am happy . Please support them and give them a try .

Not vegan here just curious. Food was okay, their salsas were spot on and both their horchata and Jamaica water were really good. Friendly customer service and the place was clean. Overall a good experience and can honestly say these were better than most "fancy" restaurants in Phoenix who claim they have authentic tacos on their menu.

Born and raised in Phoenix, I could never get good, authentic vegan tacos until now!! I remember having Tacos Veganos a few years back during their food truck days and so happy to see them have a store now! Their space is beautiful, clean and open along with friendly staff! I ordered their Al Pastor torta which was amazing and a Quesabirria Taco to try since I live on the East Coast now and can't get food like this there! Both were absolutely delicious and authentic!! Their horchata is my absolute favorite! The only issue I had was I found plastic wrapping in my taco which I let management know they offered to make me a new one and a horchata refill. Other than that, they're a 10/10!!

I absolutely love this place. The food is so good, especially their Vegano fries. I've been there several times& tried various items. No complaints. It's great tasting food, and it's vegan! It's definitely a staple in vegan restaurants here in the Valley.

I happened across Tacos Veganos at a vegan festival this morning. The food was incredible. We got the chorizo con papas burrito and added cheese and tofu scramble plus both kinds of salsa. The flavor was absolutely amazing without all the grease of normal burritos. I highly recommend these guys and u can wait to try more!!

Absolutely delicious! Every time I come here I am never disappointed. The owner is incredibly friendly and is often there and hops in to help employees as needed. The menu has extended since they started as a stand but the tacos have always stood out! I have watched them grow and was super excited about their special for restaurant week and it is WONDERFUL. I tried something new and I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE MORE! thanks for the yummy food 🤤 drinks 10 food 10 customer service 10

Taco Tuesday, but make it vegan Our vegan coworker invited us all out to try @aztacosveganos last night. Yes, there was some pushback and some meat jokes made, but in the end, we were all willing to try. I had the Quesabirria taco, with asada, and loved it. Texture was softer than real meat, but the flavor was there! I also tried the special Baja Cauli taco. Basically, it's a fish taco with the slaw and sauce but with fried cauliflower. It wasn't anything outside-the-box crazy, but I enjoyed it. The margarita was sweet and counterbalanced nicely by the Tajin rim. Overall, I think we were all pleasantly surprised and had a fun night!

They never disappoint! Employees are friendly and efficient and the restaurant is clean despite being packed. I really like that they offer a few different proteins, like al pastor - something I'd never tried before and haven't seen anywhere else. Ever since trying it, it's my new favorite. You can get quite a few things here that aren't easy to find vegan. Even when getting take out or picking up orders, the food is ready quickly and the kitchen/staff are organized.

Ordered QuesaBirria Tacos Combo and it was so bad that we couldn’t even finish it. Not sure what the hype is all about. It was way too oily that I couldn’t eat it beyond a point. I couldn’t even taste the jackfruit in the taco given the amount of oil. It wasn’t worth the price for sure. Service was decent overall.

This place has a lot of potential and has good flavors. We drove 30+ miles to eat here. But I got super disappointed to learn that their menu states "guac not included) for birria items, yet the staff told me birria also does not include sour cream. I politely suggested they update the menu to reflect that, but instead of just giving me sour cream, they just stared at me saying its just the way it is. My mistake for tipping 15% on a $70 order for this. What would have been an otherwise nice dinner experience with my family was entiredly ruined by the off putting attitude of the dtaff and way they handled this.

Absolutely wonderful! The quesabirria tacos were so cheesy, and the jackfruit was perfect. Really enjoyed the asada taco, hit the spot for those street tacos cravings. Also the salsa roja was very flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Will definitely be stopping by anytime I'm in Phoenix!

I loved outside ambiance. Very friendly employees. My landlady took me. We both had the 3 tacos set with green and red sauce. They were very good and wonderfully rich in flavor. I go plan to go back.

Great food/great service. I wanted to try a few "meats" so I ordered the 3 tacos plate. I got birria, pastor, and asada. Long drive, but worth it.

Dude these tacos smack!! Ordered al pastor and I’ve never had vegan tacos this good before! I’ve wanted to try them forever and I finally did today and I’m so happy I did! Only sad thing was the tortillas being so small :( but the tacos are so close to tasting like meat I’m so happy and will be a regular customer now :)

oh man @aztacosveganos DELIVERS. finally got to pop by for tacos and some loaded fries and absolutely loved every bite. hot sauces were both delicious and brought the heat, house cashew cheese sauce was legit and my first ever birria experience left me so happy!! already planning my next visit🤌🏼

The tacos! Delicious! The veganos fries are my go to when ever I bring myself and the family. Hands down the best vegan food I've ever had. Must try.

  • 4/5 Ryan K. 1 year ago on Google
Over all not bad. The texture of the “meat” by itself is interesting but as a whole in the taco, with onion, cilantro and guac sauce it’s a good taco. The beans are good but the rice is eh. The burritos are massive! 15 minute wait to go order because there weren’t enough tables available for inside. If I was Vegan I’d come here. Just wish I knew what everything was made of as the substitute.

I’m obsessed. The crunchy QuesaBirria taco with consume is 🔥! I’ve been here 6 times since they opened and have been pleased every single time. The food is delicious, the portions are large, and I always leave happy!

Wow my favorite restaurant in all of Phoenix! So delicious even non vegans love it. Sofia provides service with a smile. I would eat here every day if I lived closer. I would have posted a picture of the food but I couldn’t wait to eat it 😂.

I recently visited a Mexican vegan restaurant and was impressed by the authentic flavors and ingredients used in the dishes. The restaurant had a great selection of appetizers, including a delicious plate of vegan nachos loaded with flavorful cashew queso and a variety of toppings. For my entree, I ordered the Birria Tacos (Jack Fruit) and was impressed by the tender and flavorful meat substitute. The fajitas were served with fresh cilantro and onions and came with a side of delicious beans. I also had a chance to try one of the desserts, a vegan tres leches, which was a perfect balance of sweet and creamy. Overall, the food was delicious and I appreciated the focus on using traditional Mexican flavors and ingredients in a vegan version. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty and authentic vegan Mexican meal.

This place isn’t just “good for vegan food”. It’s great food period! I’m not vegan but love trying veg places and not only were their asada vegano fries delicious and had a fantastic texture— it’s 100% comparable to non-veg food and BETTER than some regular carne asada fries I’ve had. Totally delicious and although it’s on the pricier side they have generous portions (especially on the burrito) and I feel like you get your money’s worth.

Some of the best vegan tacos I’ve had, this place is legit! I tried all their tacos and each one is amazing. Even my non vegan boyfriend loved them! Their nachos and carne asada fries are delicious too. Also the prices pretty fair and comparable to most restaurants tacos (vegan and non-vegan)!
