Dog park

👍👍 I love taking the dogs to this park. The people and dogs that go here are as special and wonderful as the park itself. It's like a little slice of doggy heaven. People often mention park, dogs,

In my opinion, this dog park is the best dog park in the area. There is a lot of things for the dogs to do. They can play catch in a large field. They can run up and down a giant hill. They can explore a forest and more. This dog park also offers bowls and a tap of water for when they get thirsty. Take your pup here for a good time!

Great natural area for dogs to run and explore with trees, hills, small ravine and an open space. Well fenced. Our dog loves it!

Very nicely divided area and safely fenced away from roads so you have nothing to worry about letting your little ones or big ones roam free :)

Really nice park with plenty of open space, friendly people and dogs, fresh water and access to a pond if your dog wants to take a dip.

A clean space to take our chihuahua out for a short walk. There were areas that he was too delicate to walk on haha but that's because he's a big suck.

PROS: - Park is open, beautiful, well kept and overall nice for dogs. There's a reason why most of the reviews are positive cause of how open and beautiful it is here. -There is a swimming place for the summer. -Some of the locals are very sweet and extremely passionate about keeping the park clean. There's a pokestop :) that's always neat. CONS: - The larger part of the locals basically own this dog park between 7 AM-12 PM EST M-F. Sometimes they switch it up, which makes it hard to avoid. These specific locals have very territorial, pack, semi-aggressive and extremely barky/herding type pups. If your dog enjoys the sole purpose of chase and play with other dogs, AVOID. Owners try to keep to themselves (thank you), but it's also selfish to have every other dog tied up for the sole purpose of accomodating them. They often role in packs, so it's hard to avoid them, especially if you unleash and think it's safe at the gate and your pup wants to run and say hi. Owners are nice enough to try and isolate, but dogs are dogs and only one of them is leashed. You will have to hide in a corner with your dog which defeats the whole purpose of the public, open dog park, which is such a shame. Luckily my dog is extremely passive when this behaviour hits or I fear a dog attack would surely ensue. I have resulted in recognizing license plates and vehicles before entering because of this fear. - Dog fights happen MORE often at this dog park. 4 months and at least 7 has happened. One dog fight was so bad that a dog attacked a dog AND its owner, resulting to stitches. Luckily us and others were there to assist them(they are doing ok, thank goodness) -There are no small dog areas which makes it difficult to socialize any puppies or to protect small pups. It takes one prey drive dog to really cause a problem, so BE WARY. PROTECT YOUR BABY. If you're trying to socialize, DO ROVER or any meetups. This place is not it. CONCLUSION: Sorry for the TED talk review. All in all, I want all dogs to be safe. Please take a bit of an extra drive to go to a different dog park. Sadly, I live a few minutes from this one and it's a complete 80% Bad/20% Good ratio. Every day it almost always results in a sad drive home with a very sad puppy.
