👍👍 Update. Enjoyed the $12 dollar lunch special. Quieter atmosphere than Twisted, for those who want that at noon hour. Both dishes were fine. Prior post--- The three dishes we had were perfectly done. The Doug burgher, fish and chips and the curry dish. See photos. Price was right. Wait staff friendly... People often mention good,

This is Mount Alberts best kept secret. The food, decor, ambience and customer service were all outstanding. You can feel that pride of ownership upon entering the restaurant. Then menu was kept simple which we love as we would rather have fewer selections done well than a four page menu to choice from which often doesn’t end well. Don’t get me wrong there are enough choices to still make it hard to decide what you want. The starter was fried cauliflower that was absolutely delicious, we all craved about it. Menu portions were more than enough to satisfy one’s appetite. I still can’t get over how attentive the service was throughout our dinner. My wife had fish and chips and the fish was the best I’ve had in a long time. My beef dip was awesome and my sons beef skewers were tender and tasty. Pricing is extremely reasonable for the high quality of food one receives. The second floor of this old house has rooms for larger groups and a room that was extremely inviting as it had couches with a TV playing that video running the fireplace scene which gave the room a wow factor especially as it’s winter. The walls are adorned with pictures of old Mount Albert throughout which enhances the characteristic of this charming restaurant. We will definitely be back and recommend others to visit. The owner is extremely personable, his commitment to making your dining experience wonderful is commendable. This passion and commitment is instilled into his team as it definitely shows. Job well done.

Ended up there by accident but it was a lucky find. Service was fast & pleasant. Food was very good and price were very reasonable. Had shepard pie & ribs/mac&cheese. Both were very tasty thanks to a kind of demi-glace sauce. We ended up with a chocolate cake which was both fluffy and spongy, very good as well. They have a $8 menu we didn't try which looks like a very good deal.

A historical place that was belong to Mr. and Mrs. LIoyd, the first Pharmacists at Mount Albert, now is running by Doug, a very nice guy. You can enjoy an outdoor food with live musics that’s offered with some talented artists every other Wednesdays and some Saturdays or go inside and eat your food in a very beautiful decorated historical house. We tried Flatbread Buffalo Chicken that was very delicious, crispy and spicy 😋, Clam Chowder soup, sweet potato fries, and their wings, the soup was very good too but the wings were not my favorites. Although look at those crispy fries that was completely delicious. The sweet potato fries was amazing 🤩 Enjoy the outdoor fireplace when you feel cold. I definitely recommend the place, with their fresh food and naturally beautiful place.

A perfect pub experience in a renovated Victorian house. Most of the original accoutrement have been preserved and the stained glass is lovely. The front bar area is awesome and cozy with a great view and ambiance. The food is standard fare, fresh and in good sized portions. A good selection of beers and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We stopped in while passing by on a road trip and were very pleased.

Building: 5-star Cleanliness: 5-star Service: 5-star Foods are ok. To be honest, you don't want to miss this historical building, all its solid wood interiors, and well-maintained exterior. (Also nicely mowed lawn XD) You can find history in every corner of the interior, the signature 1800 phone, standalone clock, decoratives... Etc. Treasure everywhere. Shrimp Taco was above average, kid's corn dog was overcooked (a Little burnt dark brown, but it's still served), signature mushroom burger is just ok, the chopped lettuce was not fresh and bitter. Well, I was here for the building, so, food, don't taste bad is fine.

This restaurant is located in a quaint lil house in Mt Albert. The feel is all local. At first I questioned our choice but when I entered and saw the classic black and white tiled foyer I knew we were gonna be in for a pub treat! We ordered a bit of everything, chicken BLT, fish n chips, loaded nachos and burger. All was amazing but I have to say the fish n chips were delicious! Prices are fair and reflect the quality of what you will receive ❤️. All I can say is 10/10 and I highly recommend! Special credit to our server who was working alone and managed to get it all done!
