👍👍 I took my 10 year old son to this place in Courtice, Ontario. Well worth the trip from Pickering. My son had a "Peanut Bludder Hot Chocolate" with a Scor Biscotti and I had a "Peanut Bludder Coffee Late" with a fabulous brownie. Both drinks were size "PG-13". Other available sizes PG & Rated R. Very unique coffee shop with a very good iced white chocolate coffee. They're into the spooky stuff and had a special Friday set up. Our barista was fantastic very friendly and recommended a few cold coffees

One of the best hot chocolates I've ever had! Big horror movie fan and hot chocolate lover. They didn't have any more of the 'rot chocolate' 1lb bag but excited to try the 'white zombie' (white hot chocolate). I don't live in the Durham region anymore and my best friend showed me this place when I was visiting. Definitely a treat!

I met the Deadly Grounds at FanExpo and bought an excellent bean from Ethiopia. I did a V60 dripped, the roast is very well done and the flavor of the coffee is without a doubt one of the best I've ever tasted. Too bad the store is so far from my house, otherwise I would be there whenever possible.

This coffee has ruined me for all other coffee in the best way possible. Seriously. I live far away from the shop as well as most of their distributors so I buy a years worth at a time and keep it in the freezer. When it runs out I just stop drinking coffee until I can restock…I just can’t find any that I like as much as Deadly Grounds. I have tried atleast a half dozen flavours and they are all amazing. I’m deadly serious, this coffee is definitely to die for. If you’re lucky enough to be able to check them out in person you should! Otherwise, they have an amazing website for online orders that is super user friendly.

Ordered "Haunted House" coffee. Was really excited to try it out. I like to support local business. Unfortunately it was the most bland coffee I've ever had. Literally like coloured water. I emailed Deadly Grounds letting them know. Maybe I got a bad bag or something. I have yet to hear back. EDIT: In response from the Owner My apologies for confusing you regarding the name. I use a family computer with the browser logged in already. Does that clear it up or would you like a more in depth explanation? At least we agree. Putting this in the public forum is a good idea Here's my offensive disrespectful email, word for word. "Hello, I got a bag of haunted house coffee and I gotta say it is one of the lightest tasteless coffees I've ever had. I think someone performed an exorcism on the flavor. It says it's a medium blend but it is is way lighter than that. Even with extra scoops its like coloured water. I just wanted to let you know. This is my first bag of coffee and I have to say it's a poor first impression. Thanks" I still stand by my "haunted house" analogy, the flavor was exercised from the coffee. I'm baffled as to why a company that uses the same literal analogies is so melted when similar is used to explain the quality of the product. As much as I appreciate the useless advice on what I SHOULD have done to appease your response and the thorough explanation of coffee preferences, I'm not the one who sold coffee a customer that was consumed by about 5 people who unanimously agree it was one of the worst coffees we've had. Your lucky they don't give you 5 more 1 stars I've been drinking coffee from various places around the world for 20 years, I'm not sure how I can tell you its worse than Maxwell without hurting your ego? Based on your response, and lack of I See your customer service is about the same quality as your coffee.

This place has the absolute best coffee I've ever had in my entire life!! My usual go-to is the Myers, and they always make it absolutely perfect everytime. The baristas are very sweet, and the shoppe itself is definitely one of my new fave places. They also have goodies for purchase that are horror themed, and they're all so very very spooky!

I was in Los Angeles this summer and had a pour over coffee from Blue Bottle which I thought was the best coffee I'd ever have. I was wrong. I had a pour over dark prince (? i think that was the name?) added a splash of half and half and wow... amazing. The fact that the cafe is really cool and has all sorts of neat horror themed paraphernalia is secondary to the fact their product is so amazing. Everyone was helpful and friendly. If you don't go here you are missing out.

Delightful and spooky, it's Halloween every day of the year here! The atmosphere is to DIE FOR, geddit? The drinks are comforting hot or cold, the staff are friendly and fun, a great date spot to school your partner at some super nintendo. They have a ton of really cool horror merch too! I can't wait to make this a regular spot🥰

I went Here for the first time on the weekend with my son, wife and extended family. This place is very welcoming and geared towards hanging out and being your Individual self. I left with a wicked "hail satan" mug and a bag of "death by chocolate" coffee. Not to mention an awesome retro warriors snapback. First impression. ******* amazing and I am automatically saying this is my favorite coffee spot. Can't wait to go here more often and bring some of metal head friends. The staff were very cool and welcoming. You can tell there is no judgment there just by the fact the employees arnt all dressed the same and all have there own personalities. Over all. 20/10 on the coffee and coffee options. 666/10 for there staff who were lively and personable.

Been ordering their coffee for a couple years now, and it's amazing. The only brand I regularly buy. We went on a short trip this week, so we stopped in on our way through (and back). Such a cool cafe! Tons of cool mugs, and very friendly staff! Highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for coffee.

I went to the deadly grounds cafe on my birthday and coincidentally they were holding a pumpkin painting event (for free!) locally donated from Pringle’s farm. the horror themed cafe is a cool place to visit, family friendly atmosphere with plenty to look at (and shop for if you’re in love with all things horror!!) The themed food and drinks were a plus on top of everything else :)

This was a great experience. The coffee was amazing, the atmosphere was to die for, and the array of curiosity was right on point; and the service was the best part of it. Great, great service. Plan to get amazing coffee and stay for a spell.

I loved it! The staff was super welcoming and friendly 😊 The coffees were very tasty! The ambiance was exactly what I wanted. I discovered them on insta 5 years ago now, the first time I visiting and it did not disappoint 5 years' worth of anticipation ❤️

We wanted to find a great local cafe before heading back to Ottawa. Coffees and cookies were delicious! Glad we stopped in!

Edit: Thank you to Brad who so professionally and kindly dealt with this in a manner that a customer would appreciate. Just a reason to love this place even more. I was so happy to find a coffee shop that made really good coffee, and so excited to go back the next morning to get more. I was terribly disappointed when I got a medium that was less than 3/4 full, overly strong for being a latte, overly hot that it impacted the flavour, and made with whip instead of regular milk like I asked. There also were no individual sugars and stir sticks. Please, please, encourage consistency moving forward.

Delicious drinks! Pretty much all can be made vegan. My son was very pleased with his vegan cake pop too. The service was friendly and fantastic! We really loved the spooky atmosphere. It was such a unique experience. We can't wait to come back!

What an excellent establishment. The coffee is perfect. The service is and has always been perfect. The atmosphere is a next to none. Do yourself a favor and start going here rather than those other big coffee places you won't regret it.

One of a kind. It’s a must see in my opinion if driving through courtice. Not only are the menu options unique and delicious the entire atmosphere of the joint is impeccable. Only good things to say here- also the staff are super friendly!

If you love horror movies and coffee, it's THE place to go! You can, at the same place, buy a coffee to go, coffee beans, t-shirts, mugs, pastries... Soo it's a coffee shop with a little goodies shop inside. The decor is really awesome!

  • 5/5 Rod M. 1 year ago on Google
A must see experience! Great shop filled with many classic and dark items for sale. Only disappointment was the lack of dark roast coffee. Love the atmosphere and merchandise coffee mugs are a hoot!

An AMAZING horror themed cafe !I’ve been here a few times and had a few diff things on the menu. The coffee and treats are all amazing. They sell coffee and a bunch of horror themed merch including shirts and cups and other goodies. The staff is amazing and over all I highly recommend coming to check this place out !

Been there a couple times now, the wife and I love this place! The staff are very friendly and ready to offer any suggestions about the menu. Each time we ended up bringing home some of their packaged coffee to try out the different flavours. Love the atmosphere and want to keep coming back for a weekend treat.

We love going here , always buy their coffee for at home & go almost every weekend for our weekly coffee/drinks & treats, especially their banana bread skull muffin and shortbread cookies 🤤. Atmosphere is awesome & Staff is always so friendly , they almost always have my husband's part of our order started as he walks in (as mine changes weekly 🙃)

Great place for handmade gourmet coffee and tea drinks, vast and original collection of grounds and teas to go. The staff is really friendly and nice. The theme is so spooky and different! We drove out here on a Sunday morning and it was great! Made our day!

I had been a tea drinker all my life, and never enjoyed coffee besides the occasional cup once or so a year. Deadly Grounds converted me! This is the only coffee I drink, and start every single morning with it. They have a morbidly beautiful selection of brews and flavours, and I can't wait to try them all. Much praise to the fantastic customer service as well!

Was a lot better than I thought. I didn't realize there would be masks for sale 😳 As a Halloween freak this was awesome. The Dark Prince was great and H loved his cookie with smarties 😁🖤🖤

My friend and I went to check this place out the other day since it's around the corner from my house. This is such a spooky fun place with yummy treats and delicious drinks. The staff was very friendly and helpful which made our visit that much better. The uniqueness makes this a definite must visit!

This place is like no other coffee shop. It put my 2 loves of coffee and horror into one atmosphere and did not disappoint. The customer service was also amazing, they asked how they could help and I ended up with an amazing nutty latte. I can’t wait to go back and try more coffee, play some games and just enjoy the environment.
