Yesterday, a dog pursued and chased my dog, cornered him under the mulberry bush, and bit him to the point where he yelped. When I approached the owner to let her know the situation, she had already previously known that my dog was uncomfortable around hers as she already called her dog away from mine once. After this second incident happened, she did not apologize for her dog's behaviour and for not intervening, but instead indicated that was her dog's play style and that I am making my dog a target because he had a ball. Of note is that there were 3 other dogs at the park whose owners were playing fetch with balls and they were fine. I was disappointed by the interaction and fearful for the safety of my dog so we left immediately. Identifying features for this person are that she is medium set, was on her phone FaceTiming the entire time I was there, says she is a dog trainer and brings several dogs to this small park at the same time. Identifying features for the dog: medium size, wiry haired, part belgian malinois, responds to the name Koda. I am leaving this review here to caution those frequenting this park to be vigilant around this person as their presence makes the space unsafe for other dogs due to their negligence. I believe that everyone has a shared responsibility to ensure that dog parks remain a safe space for all dogs, but from one dog owner to another, this person is an example of someone who does not share these values. You may find yourself having to step in to correct their dogs for them because they will not do it themselves.

Wish this place had a running water fountain, especially for the summer. Make sure you bring water for your puppy. My dog loves this park and all the dogs that play here. Owners are friendly and responsible. I would definitely recommend this park if you want to socialize your dog.

I really like this dog park, the dog owners are responsible and have it together. It also has a natural floor so it's nice for the puppy feet. This one's better than a lot of the downtown Parks but also gets really full.

So much space for full-speed running. And when dogs need to separate they can do so. The trees provide a lot of shade so you can hang out here for a while even on hot days. But bring your own water supply—or take advantage of the businesses who leave out water bowls on King St. It's easier to get to and from the park from the south anyway because you can time your crossing with the traffic lights.

This park is a nice size and good for the dogs. Currently a little muddy but not as bad as you'd imagine. Access to the park is tricky due to the two major streets that abut this park. The new condo tower has taken away the afternoon sun :(

Power street is a great little dog park in the CENTER of a busy intersection. There are wood chips there which is a plus when it rains and a few benches where you can sit. There is no dog fountain so most people bring their own water for their dogs. Very convenient. You're walking to this location, there are a few parking spots in front of the dog park. However, check the signage before you park because you might need a permit during certain times.

Be aware that your dog may get attacked. There are many irresponsible dog owners who let their aggressive dogs off leash and don’t pay attention. I’ve seen dogs get attacked and injured many times while the owner doesn’t do anything. Twice this week there have been 2 attacks, one by a husky, who left a dog with puncture wounds. Of course the owner did not take responsibility and said “dogs will be dogs”. The wood chips makes it very uncomfortable and muddy during the winter. Also in between very busy streets so if you’re dog gets out they will get hit by a car. This park is not worth the potential risks. I’d avoid and go elsewhere.

Great park! Would recommend for owners with medium to large size dogs. It can get a bit rambunctious at times but owners are on the ball and very friendly.

Really well kept dog park, woodchipped play area. Wouldn't reccomend if your dog is a fence jumper, the fences are medium height. Most owners are very attentive to their dogs super convenient location.

My pup loves this park. Only issues are no drinking fountain and no night lighting.

Dusty (wood chips base), no water fountains. But large space for dogs to run comfortably.

Great doggy park, all well behaved and they know each other. Lots of doggy fun.

Nice little place. Not really anything but a wide fenced space, honestly. Some dogs scuffles may occur but that's pretty standard too. There's some homeless people nearby which isn't an issue as far as I'm concerned but I imagine could be off-putting to some. I never saw them cause any issues though, just existing.

used to go to this park years ago when it first opened and it was great. People were great. These days it's a very different story. Went tooday with my visually impaired friend and his dogs. Immediatly upon entrance the dogs barked- WHICH DOGS DO- and a woman there stuck out her leg and blocked a small mini malipoo from approaching her dogs because she didn't want her dogs bothered by the malipoo....really? Now I remember why I stopped going..some times a great park but the walkers bring their packs and it fills up "my dog doesn't bark" condo owners who glare at you if your dog barks or approaches them. Do not reccomed this park for dog owners who have consideration for other people or other dogs.

This dog park is fantastic. It is quite spacious with packed dirt and some wood chips. It is far better than other parks that have gravel. Additionally, it provides good shade in about half of the park.
