Huge portions! Fast and very friendly service! Cozy and cute, feels like your back in time at a diner.

I love sunset grill. They have one of the best, if not the best salmon eggs Benedict (one of the only places that gives 3 eggs with their Benny too). Their pancakes are great, sausages are yummy! No complaints at all.

I went here for years with friends and family. Never had either a bad meal or bad service. It’s a traditional breakfast place with great staff and tasty food. It is my favourite spot in Ajax. I have the corned beef hash and eggs, which comes with potatoes and rye toast. I get it well done because I like everything just a bit crispy but that is not everyone’s taste so I appreciate their attention to my request. My friend is highly allergic to pork and has not ever had a bad experience with cross contamination as a result of eating there. Sadly I have moved out of town but when I can, I will make the 90 minute drive to eat here.

Best location ever. One of the originals. Danny is their best waiter and will and always goes above and beyond to serve you. Great food prices and portions. Definitely an amazing restaurant to try out!

Speedy attentive service, the noise level still enables conversation. The Avocado toast is seriously incredible. So glad we dropped in & took the chance. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing.

We as a family having been coming to this location for over 15+ yrs but the last 5 we were very concerned when it became part of the franchise. Not crazy about the Sunset Grill Franchises!! Over the yrs, we have had amazing food experience and the staff there became like our family. Kristy and Dan are still there and make us feel just as special each and everytime we walked in! Great breakfast but the staff.. through to the kitchen make you come back over and over again!!! It was finally nice to see all of them again and make us feel like it was our first time all over again!! CS

Had to stop eating my meal to leave this 5 star review. My only complaint would be the coffee, it's not horrible but not the smoothest cup. Great restaurant. Been going here since the early 90s and I'll keep going.

Amazing customer service right from when i entered after a long flight from Calgary, food was amazing, fresh, especially the home fries. And extremely cheap!!! And the portions are amazing. Definitely can feed two people. But the customer service and kindness is absolutely phenomenal. Made me feel at home. :)

Breakfast w/ Christian Business Men always good news to glean from the cultural mosaic represented at the tables. Point of views deepen the commonality between the men present. Bonding us, as a greater group and representing to other citizens how to witness indirectly in a subtle way of service to the cross of Jesus.

Dan is an amazing server who is attentive and so kind. The food is always fresh and tasty here. I wish they didn’t change their old waffles… they were perfect!

The staff and everyone is so kind and friendly they will let us take our time and they are patient with the customers. I feel so at home here, I’ve been coming here for years and I will continue to come and the food here is so good my soul left my body and ascended to heaven and I high fived God. My husband and I went for breakfast for the first time at this restaurant a few weeks ago. It is a little bit of a trip back in time inside, but it is very clean. When we entered all of the staff were very friendly and smiled at us, even those who weren't serving us. The coffee was excellent, something you don't always get at most restaurants. The service was very fast, we didn't wait long for our orders to be taken and the food was ready very quickly. Breakfast was tasty with more food than I could eat, but my husband was happy to take two of my three eggs. I had the eggs benedict, my only criticism is that the hollandaise sauce was more vinegary than creamy in flavour, but it was still a good breakfast overall. No doubt we'll return as the menu had many tempting items on it.

Five stars from me. Excellent food (French toast, eggs, home fries and a chocolate chip pancake from the kids menu.) One thing I love is Team Work. We had three people take care of us. Happy staff, laughter and regulars being called by name. Small town service and this isn't a small town. Excellent experience.

The servers were excellent. One in particular was very attentive and was always there to refill our coffee mugs without us having to ask. I love egg Benedict and ordered the smoked salmon one. It was good but I found the hollandaise sauce a bit too thick.

The Sunday crew here crushes it! I went for breakfast around 11am and the cooks were busting their balls getting it done, pumping food out. Everyone in there was working as a team to and make the experience great.

Solo dinner - thumbs down. After spent time searching for a local place to have a nice breakfast before travel back home, pick this place. Was pack, seem to be that way all the time. The server rush true my order without listening, after all she will not pull tip from a solo dinner table. Bring the food and run for her life. Not offer, water, juice or even more coffee. Luckily, have bottle of water in the car. Shame the ticket no have her name on it.

Go to the one in Oshawa but I came to this one here that I on post excellent food was amazing place was immaculate gentleman serving us was very nice and very helpful second one have nothing back to say sunset keep doing what you're doing it's great

They need to do a better job at packing orders together. You don’t just put items in a bag and keep the drinks out with no association or whatsoever. And the manager was so annoying, she came to me accusing me as though it was all my fault and the disrespect of leaving while we were talking to go attend to incoming customers as though it wasn’t a customers order that was at hand here. #tagyourproductsbetter

If you want a great breakfast at a good price, go for the early bird special between 7 and 10 weekdays. Note: Food is always great all. The Times even without the special

Felt like breakfast and came around 11am. I got offered a really cramped spot in the back so I asked to be seated somewhere else which wasn't an issue. Ordered a 3 egg breakfast meal with bacon and coffee. Service was quick and on point with my server refilling my coffee multiple times. Taste was decent for breakfast type food. Bacon was a little under done for my liking as some of the fat was not rendered. Portion size was perfect as I left the place full not bloated. Overall I recommend going here for breakfast.

Service was a little slow, but food was good as per usual. Most breakfast places I've been too serve regular coffee on the house (here they charge you)

So I really had a good time with good food and our waiter was superb. But, near the end we saw another waiter wiping down the table with lysol spray and saw it sprayed over the salt and pepper. So... do what you will with that information bit that is not okay at all! Very upsetting

Service was amazing! Fast. Efficient. Great hospitality from start to finish. (Apologies if I forgot the names of our servers.) Coffees topped up. Ordered the California Benny. It was ok. I was asked how I liked my eggs. Medium, but it came soft and runny. Still good. Good experience overall. Will come back.
