Very much on the fence with my experience here. The ambience and service were exceptional - our server was always willing to help us with questions we had about the menu and the ingredients. However, I found the food to be extremely overpowering. I ordered the Szechuan beef brisket noodles and my friend got the Chongqing minced pork with peas noodles, both of them being mildly spiced with regular numbing levels. The numbing level on my friend's dish was just right, but mine seemed extremely bitter (not sure if that's the natural style of the dish or if extra peppercorns were added). Certainly not a fan. I personally wouldn't order this dish again, but am very curious to try the other dishes because the pork noodles tasted really good. Would visit again for other dishes!

I can not believe this was my first time here... TRULY EXCELLENT! Was looking for a noodle spot and came across this place (Chongqing Street food ) worth the reviews + more! I love asian noodles; my problem is in Toronto, there is so much choice that you have no idea what is legit or not. Unless you know someone from the community or know someone that frequents restos... you really never know! So I took a chance on this simple spot in a strip plaza, and once you step in... this is an experience! SERVICE - Don't remember I had service like this anywhere. The young lady who greeted us didn't feel sure about communicating with us, and so she sent over a wonderful young woman who I just felt cared for us. She walked us through the entire menu... answered all our questions, provided us recommendations, and it was well worth it. She came back a couple of time s to check on us, which was really good! FOOD - Tried an app (cucumber salad) and 2 soup entrees (xiao mian) w/ egg noodles (szechuan style beef brisket + minced pork w/s special hot peppers - which I was told many people try to make at home but can never duplicate). These dishes can also come as a non soup format. One word - DELICIOUS! I really like spicy dishes, and while I wanted to go for the spice level FIERY HOT , I was told to stay with spicy, which was great ( I could have totally handled fiery hot...). The one thing I learned here was about szechuan peppers or 'numbing peppercorn'. I like it in traditional chili oils, but definitely nothing else.. I added a bit of it to my dish as it was offered to me on the side, and it changed the entire dimension of my dish, which I didn't care for. The other amazing thing about this place is that they offer free refills on noodles. I was floored when I heard this. Never thought this would be a thing, but the pork bone broths here are so good you just want to soak all that goodness in noodles. So it's sort of like I had 2 bowls of noodles with my amazing broth! ATMOSPHERE - no nonsense place. People come, sit down, eat delicious food, and leave. The restaurant is clean and organized and serves its purpose. This is a massive strip mall, so parking is no problem and the place is open to 330am if you are really craving their food. If my server is reading this and you recognize this experience, I shared... THANK YOU - you made all the difference during the visit. I will definitely be back!

We often come here late at night because it’s one of few spots that are open 24 hours and it’s super cheap. We always get the $8 street noodles or the dry noodles. There are also free refills of noodles for dine in. The street noodles allow you to customize the spiciness and numbness of the broth, and the mixed noodles allow you to choose from sesame or a peanut sauce. The fried chicken was also very crunchy and tasty. This is a great spot to come late at night if you’re looking for something filling and cheap.

Came here for their another new store opening promotion to try out this chain. The service was quick but the food can take a while to come out. They had their Chongqing Noodles for promo at $1 (regular $8). There are different levels of spicy and numbness you can choose. The dumplings is so-so, but the yan-su chicken is pretty good. Overall experience is good. The Chongqing Noodles is on the smaller portion

Amazing! You can be very particular about how you want your noodles and broth, and it’s done right. I had a great experience. The flavors are just right.

This place is my favorite noodle shop in Toronto! The broth, the spicy& numbing, the al dente noodles, the meat that's properly braised. What is there not to love? P.S. I posted a 3-star review a few days ago after 2 experiences where the beef brisket wasn't properly braised, but the Hey Noodles team fixed that, kudos to them! Braised pork noodles picture for proof below!

Good quality Noodles with flavourful broth. Pork belly was my favorite. Revisited on June25. I refrain from giving out 5/5 because that's a rookie score. 5/5 means there's no room for improvement. Glad to say Hey Noodles is a perfect score. Pork belly my fave because you get the lean + melt in your mouth fat. Tried the yakult, large serving size. It came out too sweet soi added water and had twice the volume. Noodle refills comes fresh out of the kitchen. Highly recommend.

Great place for satisfying those late night munchies. My go-to is the Chongqing street noodles- for $8 you get a piping hot bowl of ramen with as many ramen refills as you wish(for free!!). The broth is nice and thick, and they offer little slice to very spicy noodles. Overall a great place to go to for some bites.

Unlimited noodles, and delicious food! Fast service, great atmosphere. We tried the cold noodles and the fried chicken noodles. Both were awesome! Highly recommend. We also got the popcorn chicken, but we would skip that next time. You order using your phone for the table and pay at the front when you're done. The food comes by fast and you can order as much noodles as you want!

Hey Noodles is a well known spot to visit if you are in the mood for a variety of different types of noodles. The service was quick and staff was friendly. The location followed Covid-19 protocols with an online menu and option to pay online as well. The noodles and broth were of great quality and cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend coming for a nice bowl of soup or noodles!

Look at these pictures. LOOK AT THEM. The noodles and broth taste like what I have in my home country. This is my spot whenever someone wants me to take them out for noodles. Hey Noodles is a well known spot in Scarborough and a local favorite. You cannot go wrong here. The picture you see are pork belly egg noodle (hard) of varying spice, normal and extra spicy and it is by far their best dish. Warning: spices are spicy. If you think you can handle it you're probably wrong. I suggest going 1 level less spicy than your usual. Pair this with their plum drink and bam! Welcome to Asia!

Tried the brisket noodle and it was really delicious, however, it is quite expensive for a bowl of noodles. I probably won't be back because of the price but it is pretty good tasting

Heard about this local chain for a while but never had the chance to visit until recently. The space is moderately sized and is good for some quick casual dining, as the food arrived very quickly. I ordered the Szechuan Style Beef Brisket Noodle w/ egg noodles, the Spice level at "Spicy", and Peppercorn level at "less numbing". Even though I haven't had spicy food in a while, I would say that the levels were very manageable and I could still enjoy the flavours of the food. The brisket was also very soft and it was well portioned with the noodles, which had a good texture to them. The staff were a little inattentive when we could have used more water, but I'd certainly be open to coming back and trying more from the menu!

The foods here taste extremely authentic! The broth is also very flavourful and personally found it a little spicy. Be sure to get the appropriate space level. The noodles are $7 and don’t come with any meat. The popcorn chicken $6 was also seasoned very well and had a strong flavor. Service is good and food comes out steaming hot and quickly! Definitely a great spot for dinner as you can also explore the other dessert places in the plaza. Check out our Instagram @eatwithjessandjohn for more local eats

Got their marinated pork belly and substituted with sweet potato noodles and the peanut dry noodles with meat - a must! Pork belly was super tender and flavourful. Saw a lot of reviews of people getting the marinated bean curd so gave that a try too

Fair sized restaurant, good service and they're open really late. I had the Sichuan style wonton soup not spicy but didn't enjoy it very much. The strawberry slush was refreshing. Will be back to try other menu items as there is quite a on the menu.

Amazing place for amazing food. For apps, we had Wonton in hot & spicy soup and popcorn chicken. The soup had a selection of spiciness and numbing level. The wontons were super soft and just melted in the mouth. The popcorn chicken was crisp and flavorful. For mains, we had Peanut butter (Veg and Pork) and Sesame paste dry noodles (Veg). We asked them to make it saucey which they did. The green peppers in the veg had that the right heat and spice level which was enjoyable (for us). Overall ambience was really good, service was really quick and worth the money.

Spicy noodle paradise! This place is a dream come true for spice lovers. The noodles are perfectly cooked, and the spice levels are customizable to your preference. The bold flavors are addictively delicious, and the portions are generous. The ambiance is vibrant, and the staff is attentive. If you crave heat and flavor, look no further than this fantastic spicy noodle spot!

Went here for the 1 dollar promo. At first did not expect anything good but it took me by surprise how nice the noodles was. The chicken cartilage was great as well. Got chongqing noodles and the broth was great, not overwhelming but not too weak. The mild spice was perfect for me. The noodles were nice and had a bit of chew which I love. Even without the deal, it's about 8 bucks and I think that's worth it as well. Highly recommend this place.

A satisfying culinary experience with its diverse noodle selections. The ambiance is casual and inviting, making it a great spot for a quick and flavorful meal. The noodle dishes are undeniably tasty, showcasing authentic flavors that transport you straight to the streets of China. The restaurant is located in a convenient foodie area in Scarborough and opened 24 hours. We ordered salty crispy chicken noodle and noodle for meat lovers with a Strawberty yogurt drink. There are lot of minor options we can refine for each dish on their online ordering menu. The regular spiciness is just perfect. The soup base is full of favour and delicious. They provied a jar of water infused with lemon for spicy relief.

Ok so after reading good reviews about this place, I thought I would give it a shot late night at 11pm! They are open until 4am (midland location) so I ordered the beef brisket noodle soup bowl with beef and pork bone broth and no numbing. The broth came separate and the rest in a bowl. This bowl had peanuts, green onion and cilantro as additions and a half boiled egg. Overall it was not bad, nothing was over seasoned, I asked for spicy but it wasn’t spicy enough for me! The broth was average, no punch to it and the beef brisket there was more skin than meat in it and lots of fatty pieces! And it was way too much noodles for me! Customer service was good, the lady was nice even when I said it was my first time ordering, she wasn’t rude like other places because they had communication problem! But anyways, overall not a bad place, decent setup to dine in and food could be better. If it’s good then it would be worth opening really late! Also covid protocol following well, sanitation stations are there and social distancing followed and employee was wearing mask and gloves!
