10 stars ! Professional old school jeweller with great price in Durham , great service and ready in just 3 days. I went to the mall to resize this ring and due to it having a difficult process due to the gems nobody could do without sending it away somewhere else and charging extra. I called the shop and spoke to Rafael directly who advised I bring it in . Super well done , great price , true craftsman , no sign of it being resized wife loved it !

I don't know what to say? The owner custom made our rings and he created a custom ingot for our wedding bands. I am allergic to nickel so he mixed metals together to have only a bit of nickel so I won't have an allergic reaction. So far it has bested hiking and canoeing and they are very much worth it! We had to re-engrave our rings to change the date and it only cost $70(due to covid). He is very pleasant and it is supporting a small business!

My wedding ring needed enlarging to fit properly. I went to Rafael Jewellery because of positive previous experiences. The ring needed significant enlargement. The ring had fine detail around the edges which complicates traditional methods for resizing. Rafael figured out how to enlarge the ring and preserve the details. I could not be happier with the results. The cost was quite fair for the very fine workmanship. The owner is a very pleasant person. I would not hesitate to recommend Rafael.

I came here to have a rosary repaired. The crucifix had broken off. The owner explained that the crucifix couldn't be repaired due to the fact that it was aluminum covered with black enamel (welding was not viable). Instead he gave me a crucifix handcrafted in Italy for 90% off what it is actually worth (I checked). Bear in mind *he does not sell crucifixes*. He did that for me because he could tell how much my rosary meant to me. He earned a lifetime customer. Very happy!

I had my 25th anniversary ring re-designed by Rafael. His vision was spot on! I left it in his hands and the result is truly lovely. I am so happy! The ring was purchased 9 years ago in St. Martin and I loved it but the setting just wasn't as secure as I would have liked. I asked Rafael if he could re-design it and he said he could. I brought my platinum engagement ring in to be resized, and I could not have asked for a better experience! While I was told from another jeweller the resizing would take up to three weeks because the materials were complicated to work with, Rafael Jewellery was able to get the job done within two days. My experience here was incredible! I was able to get the prongs on my engagement ring adjusted to properly fit the stone within 2 hours. When I got it back, I asked if it was possible to make the prongs smaller (not at the fault of Rafael Jewellers). Without hesitation, he was able to get it done and ready the next day. This review is long overdue but Rafael has been my jeweller since I moved to Ajax in 2020. He designed and crafted an engagement ring for my fiancé which she absolutely loved. He’s also Fixed and altered my gold chain to shorter length and made a bracelet with the excess. He is always fair, polite and easy to deal with. 10/10 service and quality would recommend him to my family and friends.

The owner himself assisted me and measured my ring finger. He was very helpful and kind. He made sure I had the right size. Was told it would take 10 days. He got it done in less than a week! I was looking for a pendant and heard this place was really good. I made a 45 minute drive to this jewelry store and found a pendant but it wasn’t the type of metal, however he said he could dip it. I decided not to buy it at the time and a couple days later I called instead of making the drive to ensure the gift was exactly what I was looking for. I asked if they could send a picture (my sister used to be in the jewelry business and said they send pictures all the time for customer service, continuing clientele, and the sale). He told me he was too busy which I respected so I asked if I could call back at a later time and he said no, he didn’t want to send a picture. He didn’t give me any rationale and quite frankly rushed me off the phone as if this sale didnt mean much. Very frustrating and upsetting. I won’t be going there for anything in the future and will not recommend.
