I am very disappointed with the treatment I got today. I took my baby today and I was told by the receptionist that doctor will see him after 3 patients. After waiting 45 minutes in the parking lot I asked one of the staff to check after how many patients is his turn she said after 2 patients. How is it possible for the Dr. To see one patient in 45 minutes? This used to be my favorite walk in clinic where I referred a lot of people to But lately it has changed to be become the worst. We used be called 15 min before it was turn. I hate to see it turn this way

TERRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, CARELESS. I wish I could give this place a big zero. The receptionist is extremely cheap and rude lady. She talks with such an attitude and she is a big liar. I called in today (Jun 20, 2022 at around 3:13 PM)to ask for the wait times, first she told me that there are 5 people ahead of me and I need to wait around 30 more minutes. I called in after 30 minutes and she said that there are 9 people ahead of me. How can this be possible? I told her that you told me 30 minutes ago that there are 5 people ahead of me and now you just changed the number. She answered so rudely and told me that I am lying and that she never told me that there were 5 people ahead. She literally blamed me for it and hung up the call. The way she talked was so INSULTING. Can't you guys afford a good receptionist who can atleast talk nicely to people and who is willing to assist the patients? I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVER TO ANYONE. Never coming here again.

Great doctors but very immature receptionist/manager when dealing with walk in communications. When called to schedule an appointment, I mentioned I can only get there in 20 mins. However, upon reaching in 20 we are told it’s closed (they decided to close 30 mins early) and yells at us that they only take patients waiting at the parking lot(though i communicated clearly earlier). They need get their act together. Very poor experience!

This clinic wasn’t a walk-in clinic. Today was my first day to the clinic and had a very bad overall experience. I waited for 3 hrs in the parking lot after enrolling myself to see a doctor and decided to just back. When I called the person told me I had 9 people in queue before me and when I call after 3 hrs the receptionist was like we still have 2 before you.

This review is specifically for the office manager who is super disrespectful and does not know how to speak with someone. Looks like she is bring her personal issues to work and someone needs to look into her behaviour and deemenor at work. If the patients are expected to be respectful same should be the requirement for the staff. The cannot say anything that they please while the patient/other party is respectfully listening. The receptionist (May - I don’t know if it’s her real name because she was not willing to share the name of the office manager ) I wanted to get the office managers name to raise a complaint about the way she spoke to me. I am told she is the ultimate authority at North Whitby clinic and that there is no one above her to take a complaint against her. How convenient! I hope this review reaches the right person and some action is taken at this request. She spoke to me between 1:42 pm to 1:46pm on 18Jul2023

Best walk-in experience I’ve had. Receptionists we’re very friendly, immediately let me know the wait time (I appreciate that SO MUCH) therefore I wasn’t robbed of my day. Called me to return when it was time and the dr saw me within 2 minutes. Pharmacy was also so pleasant and privately discussed my antibiotics in detail with me, didn’t make me feel rushed at all. Really refreshing and actually 100x better and significantly more efficient than my family doctor.

This has been my doctor's office since I was a baby (even before they moved from Garrard Rd!) , and everyone there is absolutely lovely! Dr Lee is my family doctor and he's so kind and truly cares. I've also had Dr Randhawa and Dr Kathy Lee Sang over the years, and I couldn't be happier with the care I've received. Not sure where all these negative reviews are coming from. Perhaps the doctors and staff don't always tell people exactly what they want to hear but that's their job! They're just doing their best. Would recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone.

I’ve been a patient here for 20 years. I’ve never had a problem with staff or doctors. I actually find the staff to be very accommodating. I live two hours away and make an appt and drive down whenever I have any pressing issues. If the issue was more urgent in nature they were always flexible with getting me on a list for my family dr to call and sending a script to my local pharmacy if need be. People need to remember that family health care is EXTREMELY underfunded and most of the time their hands are tied. They can’t make miracles happen. If they are only allowed to see a certain number of patients a day it is because the government funds it that way. If you have a problem you should visit or write your MPPs office.

Everyone, from Neil at reception to the pharmacist at the adjoining Dryden Medical Pharmacy, were kind and helpful during my family's urgent care experience. Dr. Randhawa was especially helpful to us! We appreciate the quality of care your clinic offered to our family.

Gave one star because I had to. HORRIBLE. Go to the hospital if urgent. The doctor was so nice so I feel bad but his support staff DISGUSTING. One filthy human in particular belittled and spoke incredibly insulting when she saw I was in visible pain. Extremely rude and disrespectful and said I should be grateful to be there, disgusting and disturbing I’ve never experienced this in any medical facility. She made me feel uncomfortable in an already uncomfortable situation. patients who are seeing a doctor in the first place feel vulnerable for some disgraceful human to take advantage of that is beyond anything I can comprehend. I also never write reviews it’s not my style but i absolutely had to.

This place is the worst walk in clinic to come to. It’s a JOKE. The receptionists are rude and they sit behind those desks, laugh and joke around rather than do their job. The messed up part about this place is that you have to drive to this clinic to book an appointment only for them to be like go home and they will call you when your turn is up. Over 2 hours go by and when you call to ask what’s happening they say to make your way to the clinic. Once you get there they make you wait another 2 hours in the car. People don’t have a FULL day to waste for a Walk in appointment this isn’t the emergency room. Majority of the reviews talk about their long wait hours and their horrible receptionists clearly there is something wrong with this place.

The Dr's here are great. I've been a patient here for almost 20 years now. Dr Lee, Dr Kathy Lee, Dr. Randhawa (our family dr) have always been good to my family, got us in and out, and taken care of quickly. However, the quality of the reception staff has gone way downhill. I was spoken to rudely by staff on the phone. She hung up on me and was short with me when she came to the door - this is not the first time this has happened either. I have been holding space for medical care workers, especially in these trying covid times, but enough is enough!!! Some kindness and compassion would be nice when you are the face of a medical facility. I cannot believe how the newer staff are rolling eyes at customers. Especially when there are multiple posters about zero tolerance for rudeness and mistreatment all around the office. Knowing I have to see the reception staff when I'm ill makes being sick that much more dreadful.

I had a fantastic experience at this walk-in. I called in the morning and was told my appointment would be in about 1h and I could go home and someone would call me to come back when it was my turn. Amazing! What a fantastic system. No waiting in a crowded waiting room. I got a call in about 1h and drove back to the clinic. When I got there I went straight into the assessment room to see the doctor. He was in to see us in less than 5mins. The Doctor, Dr. Lee was friendly and thorough. Each staff member that I interacted with was kind, professional and efficient. I truly appreciate each person on this team of Healthcare professionals.

Incredible wait times! Waiting 2.5 hours for not even a 5 min appointment. The doctors are friendly and knowledgble but they really need to fix whatever is going on with the reception. Lots of room for improvement.

Subject: A Tribute to Rose & Dr. Randhawa Exceptional Service at the North Whitby Medical Center Hello, my name is Fatima, and I want to share my heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding service by Rose that I've experienced at North Whitby Medical Center. Rose, the front desk employee at the clinic (I'm almost certain her name is Rose – a beautiful and kind Filipino lady who consistently radiates kindness and warmth) stands out as the nicest and most pleasant person we encounter during our visits to the medical center for appointments, and her dedication to excellent service is unwavering. Rose is a true gem - her kindness and warmth have consistently transformed our medical center visits into extraordinary experiences. Rose's unique ability to turn routine appointments into warm and welcoming encounters is truly exceptional. Her attention to detail, personal touch, and talent for creating a comfortable and wonderful atmosphere. We feel fortunate to have Rose's exceptional service at North Whitby Medical Center. She has left an indelible mark on our lives, making every visit to the medical center a warm and comforting experience that we hold dear. Please accept our heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional service and care we have received! :) Likewise, I'd also like to acknowledge Dr. Randhawa, the most amazing and kind physician at the clinic. He has been taking excellent care of my mother and me since I was a child. His dedication to our well-being and his medical expertise make him the best doctor we could hope for. Equally, Dr. Randhawa, who is not only a physician but an incredible and kind-hearted healer at the clinic - his remarkable care and expertise have been a guiding light in our lives & Dr. Randhawa's dedication to our well-being goes far beyond the call of duty, and it's evident that he genuinely cares for his patients. Dr. Randhawa’s compassionate approach to patient care sets a standard that should be emulated by all in the medical profession. Thank you Dr. Randhawa, Rose & Whitby North Medical Clinic for all that you do for us all! :) Many regards from Fatima & Mom!

Had an excellent visit. Receptionist answered the phone efficiently. Went in and registered. They had a 2.5 hour wait and asked me to call back later. We’re ready early and called me. Dr Lee too was extremely efficient. Overall great experience.

5 star for being well organized for a walk in clinic!! Called to book appointment for our walk in. They called us back 30 mins before our turn. We reached there in 15 mins. Doctor who checked us was well experienced. Superb overall.

Dr. John Lee is the only doctor I've ever come across that truly listens and cares for their patients. I came to the clinic as a walk-in as my family doctor had retired and the doctor I signed up with at another clinic in the area has been near impossible to get ahold of. Dr. Lee has seen me through a serious back injury 5 months post-partum over the last two years and he and his staff have been nothing but kind and supportive during a very traumatic time in my life and still continue to provide the same level of support. I'm very grateful for all of the wonderful people who work here. Thank you🙏🏽 - Amanda Refearo

1030am on a Wednesday, 15 minute wait. Incredible in this current Zeitgeist of medical care. Very pleasant all, from reception to a stellar trained physician. It was a brief interaction, however healthcare is my forte and I can observe a well trained physician in minutes. Doctor John Lee had a presence; proper bedside manner; reasonable questions and an efficient routine one obtains from years of perfect practice. He was sincere and I'm grateful for his talent. Parking is tight in this strip mall setting, you may have to park 25m away. Masks are required and can be obtained from the check-in desk. Pharmacy and Physio compliment the office services.

I’ve been here 3 times and the receptionists were very well mannered and nice/helpful all 3 times. Doctors were very good, took care of our issues and we have no complaints at all. Wait time is long but that’s not their fault

I've been a patient here for over 25 years. Dr. Kathy (my GP), Dr. Lee, and Dr. Randhawa have always treated myself and my family well. However, the quality of the reception staff has gone considerably downhill. They are quite rude on the phone and literally don’t even acknowledge you on arrival (if in person). Compassion, empathy and even a sense of humour would go a long way. Getting an appointment takes weeks, sometimes longer, and going to urgent care isn’t even an option at times because they start a list each morning which quickly fills to capacity. With proper support staff this clinic could be better; sadly they’re very impersonal and rude now (years ago it was quite different though).

Don't waste your time going here unless you want to waste half your day sitting in a parking lot. Sat in the parking lot for 45 minutes after being told they would be out in "a bit" before we decided to call them. They then said it would be an hour. After waiting 2 HOURS in the parking lot we were finally called to come in...just to have to wait some more! I will update with how long we will have to wait now.. People do have lives. I called yesterday to book an appointment...all this for a prescription! Absolutely ridiculous.

Dr Lee has been my doctor since I was a kid. He's fantastic. Other reviews seem to say the doctors are impersonal and or rude. I can only speak for Dr Lee, but he is the opposite. Always nice, straightforward and knowledgeable. For my money he's the best GP in Canada. The few times he wasn't available I saw Dr Randhawa and he, also, was fantastic.

I'm so glad to transfer to this clinic, North Whitby Medical Centre the receptionists are very helpful and professionals, no issues whatsoever. Dr. Lee is very accommodating, and professional, very nice doctor. I had an issue with my medical certificate from my work place and I have to send him twice to resolve the issue and I was able to successfully resolve it. thanks to Dr. Lee. I will recommend this clinic to everyone.

This clinic says open until 7pm but they stop answering calls or taking patients after 3pm. They do not return calls and voicemail is full. Clearly patient care is not at the top of their priority

I’ve been to this walk in/pharmacy 3 times now. Each time that walk in reception are fantastic, including the walk in doctors. Very fast, and courteous. The pharmacy is another story. On 2023-02-16 I attended the walk in pharmacy at around 1130hrs, by 1150hrs I had a prescription and waited in in front of the prescription drop off area for approx 30 mins, until another patient came and walked right up. This patient was spoken to. I was looked at at least twice by the East Asian male dressed in a black turtle neck, and he even looked at my prescription. I wasn’t even spoken to and I then ended up seeing myself out. I provided 2 stars because of the walk in, I would provide 5 if I could, but the other 3 stars are lost due to the staff at the pharmacy. I would give 0 if they weren’t involved with the walk in. Save your money and/or your benefits money, pay a pharmacy somewhere else to fill your prescription. What an arrogant joke.

I was looking to get my TB test read and I waited almost 2 hours. Their system doesn’t make sense. They don’t let you book by appointment. Your car has to be parked outside the clinic and it is only until then that you can register and be put on the list of patients. When I was finally allowed inside, I sat down for 10 seconds. The doctor said that I’m negative and signed my paper. When I arrived at the parking lot, they told me the waiting time is 1 hour but both times I went, I waited 2 hours. Very disappointed

I like their system of not having to wait in the waiting room to be seen. I get to wait at home until they are ready for us. Very very polite and friendly staff and doctors!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!  July 21st. Will not go back.  Was there last week to get a dressing for an infected cyst.  Receptionist at the initial call was very professional.  Was there for maybe 15 minutes and taken in.  Happened to be the Doctor herself...Dr Kathy Lee Sang. Sorry to say she isn't the professional she is called to be.  Her main aim was to find out & ensure I had taken the covid vaccine.  She wanted to know why I had not taken it and tried talking me into taking it.  When I did not comply yet listened to her reasoning etc, she said she was talking to "a brick wall"...she said it twice. She  glanced at my wound and prescribed antibiotics while i was there in pain and to get a dressing.   I dont believe it's her call to force me to get the vaccine because i have my own Dr.  However she could have advised me and let me decide.  Referring to me as "a brick wall"  is very un-professional. I then had to go to Emerg to get it attended to and I must say, there, I encountered a real professional. I called back the clinic and it could have been she who answered the phone.....when I complained how rudely I was treated, she hung up on me.  I called again and someone else picked up.  When I repeated how I was treated the individual did not want to hear my story and cut me off by asking "ok what can I do for you".  I said "nothing" and was just calling to advise her to pass on the information and that I would be informing the body responsible for Drs. to make a complaint.  She said it's my perogative and she too hung up. It is a sad state...some spoil the reputation of the many good ones who serve faithfully.

  • 1/5 Sana A. 5 months ago on Google
Firstly they never pick up the phone. When I went there with my son, because he was complaining about ear pain, I was told by the receptionist that they have reached the capacity for the day. And very conveniently asked me to go to another clinic nearby. I told her I know there is another clinic but right now I am here and this is causing inconvenience especially because it's not even 12pm yet and the website says the clinic closes at 4pm and you are telling me the doctor will not see any more patients. And there were only 4 people in the waiting room. I'm so frustrated and sad by the Healthcare of this country we call our home. Very inconvenient for families with little kids and seniors.

  • 1/5 syeda a. 2 years ago on Google
Pathetic service. No call back was received from the doctor what so over inspite of a reassurance given by the front desk. Absolutely unprofessional and unreliable. I had to go through a 6 hour wait time and to my dismay, was not attended to by Dr. Randhawa's office. Not recommended at all!!!!
