I moved to Stone Mountain just this year and had no idea this Lake was right up the street. This place is a hidden gem with an amazing view. A proper beach with swimming and a club house. Walking/riding trails and areas for fishing. There’s even an accessible playground alongside the beach for the kiddos. I attended PineLake Fest and hope to be able to attend more events here as well as visit on my own.

Found Pine Lake Beach two years ago. This Lake beach is in Stone Mountain, Dekalb County. It's inside a neat neighborhood made of marvelous houses dating from the 70s. The area itself has so much character. The wetlands also has park trails. Pine lake beach has events all year round. Open to the public all week except Wednesday and Thursday. Really great place just to relax and unwind.

Best kept secret in DeKalb County. Very small quaint and family friendly atmosphere. Clean, quiet and laid back. They have a fishing area, playground and walking trail. Nice sand and about 6 beach chairs. No pets, food or drinks allowed at beach area. They have picnic area nearby for you to bring food and drink. One portal pot. The water was expected. Patrolled heavy by police. Free but very limited parking.

Pretty to walk around, fun for small kids. There are some nice shady areas to sit at a picnic tabel. There are a lot of birds n other animals (POO) around, so watch out for that. My granddaughter likes the little fish n ducks.

Small and simple, but great to disconnect from city life and relax. Update: this might be one of the best lesser known (from what I’ve seen) areas in the Atlanta metro area. Never super crowded, chill environment, and there’s also a wetlands and walking path if you want to do something other than beach. If you’ve got kids, there’s a playing area adjacent and super convenient. Must visit if you live in the area.

Small but effective... clean, nice view and relaxing. I normally go here after walks or bicycle rides at Stone Mountain park or just because.

Great. Moved to the 495 Susan creek Dr home about 1957. Same year my sister graduated from Avondale high school. The pine lake area was just up rock ridge road, making a left turn from Susan creek Dr. Go on up rock ridge till you see to turn left again a bit further up. They will be quite a few left turns, so to make sure you have the right left turn, wait till you see the sign for pine lake to go on in to the lake.

Great place took the boys fishing. We are from out of state and found this place by searching online. Must visit if you like to swim and fish. Neat tucked into a neighborhood. Keep in mind it is run by the city. They have weird hours no lifeguard. So you can swim from like 8 am till noon. Then you have to get out of the water until 3 pm till close? Weird I am sure there is a reason for this. I will go back next time I am in the area for sure fun.

Super cute park area with lake and trails. There is a sandy beach side, playground benches, picnic tables and parking. The neighborhood (city of Pine Lake) feels like a secret garden in the middle Stone Mountain.

Very safe area that has fishing when the fish want to come out. Caught a bass one time. There’s a swimming/beach area that people swim in sometimes with their children. A few bridges and benches to relax on. Also a walking path to walk, exercise , etc.

A good place to hang out with friends and family. The beach has a good bit of space, there's a nice playground for kids, and there's picnic tables on the other side of the clubhouse. The lake isn't always open, so you can't always actually get in and swim or kayak, but the land is open to use for small gatherings.

My friend lives in this neighborhood, so we visited her and took our daughter to the park. She had a blast. It was clean and even had a very clean portapotty available. It was such a welcoming place.
