We loved the boardwalk at this park. It isn't very long, so you can get through most of it on a quick trip. Perfect for strollers or jogging. The observation tower is really nice and has 2 levels that overlook the water. There is also a dog park we have visited multiple times, but you can't take the dogs on the boardwalk. Lots of marsh, wildlife and bugs so definitely don't skip the bug spray for this park!

Such a beautiful park. Reminded me a lot of Veteran's Park off of Bay Pines Blvd. I have lived here for 9 years and never knew about this park. It has playgrounds, picnic areas, and a boardwalk trail with a lookout tower with gorgeous views.

WoW! What a great park! So peaceful and relaxing! Very well maintained. If you planned on going to the boardwalk, park at pavilion 5, where the playground is and walk in the opposite direction and you'll see a path that will take you to the boardwalk and tower. Enjoy! πŸ™

Gorgeous park with plenty of swampy boardwalks and a three story observation deck. Pretty busy, but lots of picnic spaces and bathrooms and parking. Just gorgeous. As always, Pinellas county parks are the best.

One of the best nature parks in Pinellas County. There are plenty of hiking trails that range from easy elevated boardwalks to dirt trails in the mangroves. If you plan on doing the mangrove trail, make sure you have shoes that can get wet as the path can be a little muddy in areas. There's also picnic areas and even a public watchtower that offers amazing views of the Gulf.

The playground and surrounding area is very well maintained. The restrooms were checked and cleaned by volunteers at least twice during our 3-hour visit. The floor of the playground area is a soft, rubber cushion, which was nice for children and adults alike to walk on. Newly walking toddlers had a soft spot to fall without harm. Several benches surround the playground area and sidewalks are nice and wide for littles to ride scooters/bikes. Handicap accessible! There are also both trash and recycling bins available on site, as well as a covered pavilion with picnic tables. I docked one star because several items of equipment (alligator statue, toddler climbing apparatus, swings) were extremely hot to the touch and it was not even a very hot day. Most of the playground is covered by shade sails, but the baby swings especially were in the full sun the whole time we were there and I believe they do not ever receive shade at all during the day.

Beautiful park with a lot of cool trails. Not a lot of shade, and without google maps its hard to find where things are. Well maintained. Has an observation tower and playground.

Beautiful park! Very well maintained! While there, we saw a Grandpa and his grandson walking through the lower paths picking up garbage that careless people dropped. (There are many garbage and recycle cans around! The park even supplies "doggie waste" bags.) The Grandpa said "you must learn when you're young to save our parks!" The boardwalk paths are very easy for everyone, including people pushing strollers and wheelchairs. Climbing the tower gives you an expansive view of the area. A beautiful place for all to enjoy

To us the park was β€œso-so,” Since we live in Dunedin it was a long drive for us. Even though it was a Nicky kept park, we feel the parks closer to our area offer better walking trail and amenities. Still, for people in the Seminole area it is a nice park. We enjoyed the boardwalk and observation tower.

This is such a lovely retreat in the middle of the coastal scenery. Well maintained over the years. There is ample parking, great shelters for picnic and get togethers. The boardwalk out to the Sky Deck is a treat in itself. This is a nature lovers dream to be one with nature. You can enjoy a cool walk in the morning and take great pictures . I really enjoy this park and will visit again.

Beautiful park with lots to see. The picnic areas and board walks are great. The board walks are in excellent shape and everything is very clean. The bathrooms are also nice and clean. I didn't explore the whole park but the areas I did had me impressed. They have a very cool lookout tower which has fantastic viewing. I wish it had some nice open grassy areas though.

Beautiful park! Great paths and boardwalks. A fantastic observation tower overlooking the intercoastal. Plenty of parking and rentable pavilions. Kayak launch. Quiet places for reflexion or shady areas to walk, jog, run, and bike. Amazing place for bird watching (we saw three Osprey!). Clean restrooms! And a wonderful, shady dog park. Definitely one of our favorite local parks.

Great park! We really enjoyed the boardwalk. We had the pleasure of viewing a Golpher Tortise during our visit. Our son loved the playground. There are a few bbq grills. Cleanest park bathrooms we've seen anywhere.

Hiked through the trails east of the playground. Floated through the kayak.launch and fished the mangroves and grass flats. Circled the island and paddled across the channel to fish some boat docks. Climbed the observation tower and walked the treadmill. Too bad that the sculptures along the boardwalk from years ago have been removed, vandalism I believe, is the culprit. Nice little dog park with water available. Used to bring our children to the playground when they were little. Have see all kinds of wildlife, owls, snakes (black racers, rattlers, coral, corn, rat), squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, armadillos, coyotes, many birds and fish. Have fished the many ponds
