Stayed in Pinon 1 and it was adorable! Chuck and Carlos were great and very attentive and accommodating. Keep in mind it's a rustic cabin, it's small but has everything you need. It's like camping in a RV. The bathroom is small but functional. Great for a weekend stay. We rented the 6 person pontoon boat and had a blast!

I booked Pinon2 at the last minute @$150/night. I knew the rooms would be "rustic", looked old from the pictures online. I booked the rooms with Chuck who I believe is the manager/owner. I let him know I was OK with rustic as long as they were CLEAN. He didn't say anything, so I assumed the room would be clean. NOT. When I opened the door, there was an immediate urine odor. There was real dirt buildup along the baseboards, food stuck on the kitchen table, and the microwave was not clean. I cleaned it, so I could stand being there. There was dust in some places and not in others. I had read an online review that included a urine smell in the room, and I must have gotten that room (my reason for naming the room I stayed in). There was also a note in the kitchen that guests were to clean the kitchen before leaving and to take out the trash. Clearly no one did a check on the room though it appeared some of it was clean, and I did see a cleaning person on site. The a/c unit was too small to cool a room of this size. Had I known all this, I would have booked another hotel/motel at $169/night. At best this is an $80/night room. I will not stay here again. (I asked a couple of other guests who said their room was clean, but they were not happy about having to clean the kitchen/take out the trash.) I did not bother with calling management about this. The room was paid for, I knew there were no other rooms, and I wanted to enjoy my w/e. My olfactory senses tuned out the smell after about 10 minutes for which I was super grateful. Buyer beware. In response to Chuck's response below, I explained why I didn't say anything. You always have the option to make it right. I don't see an attempt to do that, though.

I surprised my honey for his birthday with a weekend fishing trip to Rainbows End and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Not only was Chuck (the owner) great and personable but Stuart was so inviting and accommodated us with any of our needs! The hospitality shown at this location was top notch! They really made us feel at home. Our room was clean, cozy, comfortable, and just a few steps away from Rainbow lake. Excited for our next trip to Pinetop because I already know where we'll be staying!

I don't know if there are rooms. We didn’t see anything that had service. Boat rental area was closed off. Not much parking and only the handicapped spaces had shade. It isnice that to have public access to the docks.

Located right on the shore of Rainbow Lake. The rooms are homey, comfortable and clean. The rooms located right on the lake are absolutely worth the money, as they all have the best views and are closest to the boat house where a nice variety of rentals are available for hotel guests. Rented a pontoon boat one day and it was wonderful! Boat was in great shape, clean and very easy to handle. The staff at the resort are so friendly and helpful. Truly the best! This is the perfect place for a getaway!

We were just visiting in the area and saw that this place to the boat rentals. We walked up to the shack and were able to book a six person pontoon for the next day. It was definitely a fun experience, we didn’t catch anything because the winds picked up but overall they facilitated the exchange very well.

Our family has been coming here for the past 5 years every summer. I'm a tent camper so this is pretty comfy for me.
