15yrs ago I stayed here as a child and it left a lasting impression that when I was finally able to have a vacation I decided to stay here as an adult. The cabins are cozy, people are friendly, and the whole area is beautiful. Very dog friendly (brought my pack of 4 here all week with no problem). Last remark is make sure if you have a friend over 6ft you check the height of the doorways and beams as some of the cabins are not suited for clumsy tall people who forget to duck.

Stayed in a 5 room 3 ½ bath cabin. Was cute and clean, but outdated and right on the road so you heard nothing but traffic all night. The beds are rough, even on my 26 year old back and hips. The toilets took forever to flush, but the showers stayed hot for ages. Fishing was fun but there were nothing but yellow bellied catfish as far as we could tell, and we tried all different baits and such. Overall super cute fun place that may be better at one of the smaller cabins that are further off the road.

Absolutely love this place! To be surrounded by pine trees and have a stocked lake for fishing is the best. We love the rustic appeal. We will be returning alot.

This place is a bit older but it's awesome. If you like old, cozy log cabins, lakeside fishing, beautiful surroundings and kind cabin neighbors, this is it. Pet friendly, fishing friendly, kid friendly. Furnished cabins with all the cooking necessities. And, charcoal grills at every cabin. We will return.

We have a lovely view of the lake, but the highway noise is distracting at times, due to its proximity. The cabin is rustic but clean and has all the basic amenities. The recreation center boasts two ping pong tables, but the nets, paddles, and balls all need to be replaced for them to be used. The camp is situated among gorgeous tall pines and really evokes the camps in times past. We spotted lots of wildlife: waterfowl, fish, and even an elk grazing at the lake's edge early one morning. This was a nice, relaxing place to spend some time.

The host was awesome and very accommodate. The cabin needs updating and it could stand a good cleaning. You would expect a little more for $200 a night. The view were awesome.

Me n mine 3 nights cabin/ condo. clean no musty smell. This was 5bdrm 3.5bth So sleeps 20? My, Biggest complaint is the BEDS might as well have been laying on the Forest floor. they are all seriously worn-out. Toilets seem to always be on the verge over flowing. We ran out of TP on Night 2, they stop picking up the phone at 5. we had to put a paper plate over bedroom door latch. kids got stuck several times. 80% of screens had holes, so mosquitoes were coming in by droves Shower water pressure was less than low. cook top vent fan did not, work fart fans did not work. gas grill were mini. we had nearly 20 people, so we had to borrow one from next door. decks were less than sturdy. DON'T look up from underneath scary. Overall we enjoyed the stay building is very dated carpets need to be replaced ceiling fan need to be installed dock needs some TLC boat ores 1 broke in 2 while rowing hardware fell off another

Nice little hideaway, dog friendly with nice hosts. Only change id make is add a gate to back porch so dogs can hang out without leash. Stayed in #4.

We try to go at least once a year , the cabins are right on the lake and the fishing is always good. Weather is beautiful, service is friendly , playground is awesome the kids love it , you can also play horseshoes , pool, ping-pong, there is alot to do on the grounds. It's all the way around a great time ! I'd recommend highly ! Me and my family have made lots of amazing memories here ❤️

The staff was extremely kind, and very informative! Being close to the road was the only downfall to the whole experience. I will say, though he didn’t notice it as long as he stayed out back in the house.

Great cabin right in the water. We had fun fishing and caught quite a few catfish. Our pup loved her time there and so did our kiddo. Cabin was stocked with all we needed.

Our family has been visiting here for over 20 years and we have made lots of beautiful memories here! The staff is warm and welcoming and if there has ever been any problems they are quick to respond. They have always been so accommodating! We will continue to come back for years to come!

My family and I came here for my niece's 17th birthday and we truly enjoyed ourselves so much. Their was enough snow to play in. We were able to grill in the snow. We always wanted too lol the small things to life. Also each cabin is different if you look at the map. But the one we picked had everything we needed to cook with and grill with. We were right off the freeway so easy to get in and out. Their is a Walmart near by if you forgot anything at home. But most of all support the local business if you can. Everyone is so friendly. And The owners are the best. Thank you again!!!

Our 1st time and will be returning. Lake is nice size for hanging out and walking some trails. Pets are welcome and this was a plus for us.

Have visited this place many times over the years. It's a great location with beautiful views and weather. My single bedroom cabin was cozy but in desperate need of updates and upgrades. Despite this my stay was a great time and will likely return.

I liked the cabin I stayed in, but it would have been better if it wasn't right next to the highway and had curtains that didn't blare light from the cabin next door in the middle of the night in the bedroom. Having a fridge, grill, fireplace, bathroom, etc., was nice if you prefer those amenities, but the road noise, light pollution, no outdoor fires was a real bummer for me. I would have preferred staying at a campsite, but that's just me I guess. If you like the illusion of a cabin that feels like staying in a hotel with nice trees and a lake, then this is your kind of place. For those who are looking for more of a real cabin feel, this won't be the place.

Loved our stay here. The rates were reasonable, being that it was a holiday weekend. The environment was great. The cabin was clean, all utensils needed were included, and it was quiet and comfortable. Will definitely be back soon.

A very pleasant place to vacation overlooking a small lake, conveniently located off White Mountain Road in Lakeside AZ, with comfortable small cabins. Walking distance to the US Forest Service Lakeside headquarters for regional trails and other information.

We stayed in the Pines unit which was absolutely fabulous. A million dollar view. The cabin was clean, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen well supplied with cooking utinsils. We celebrated our grandsons 9th birthday and it's a birthday he'll remeber forever. He caught fish and even netted (and released) a giant bullfrog. We didn't have much interaction with the staff, but they were friendly, knowlegeable and helpful. We are already lookig forward to the next trip.
