Great place and owner is very friendly.

We arrived at the inn late and without reservation but the hosts took us in warmly and even prepared dinner for us that late. We enjoyed a quiet stay after a long tuktuk ride from colombo. The pictures underrated that place. The room was spacious and very clean and the bathroom was even better than on the pictures. The next day we took a hike to bible rock and then continued our journey. Very happy to have found that place!

Great place, welcoming hosts and delicious food. 15min away from Bible rock which i recommend for amazing views.

A great place to stay with so much nature inside but also love around, this family will take care of you and take you around on road trips to different locations, if you want it. The food was delicious with great quantity and quality. We spend 6 nights in theirs biggest bungalow and is was very spacious and comfortable. They have a terrace to serve the food and spend time with the mountains view. This are picture for some of the beautiful places we visited drove by them.

It's only a tiny backyard of a local house, no proper entry, no parking, just a couple of jam packed rooms. Photos are hugely misleading (see the photos I've uploaded). Everything is either rugged, unsafe, not comfortable or not sufficient (asbestos roof with no ceiling, uncomfortable mattresses, tiny basic towels, useless disconnected TV, single plug point for everything including TV, air coolers and whatever customers have to charge). No proper air conditioners (they had portable air coolers which were useless). For the asking money, there are plenty of comfortable accommodations available in the area unless you specifically want this 'ruggedness' (in which case you might as well sleep in a local bus stop for free). Day before our arrival they advised that a room I booked isn't available hence will be replaced for a 'better' one. This so called 'better' room was a tree top one and we couldn't stay (not safe or family friendly) so all of us ended up sleeping in other villa without enough bedding (the owner refused to credit back for unused room which I never booked in the first place). In fact, we wanted to cancel the entire booking the first minute of our arrival (I was happy to pay reasonable cancellation cost) but they basically said 'you are free to go elsewhere but I have to charge you in full for the night' which may be fair from his point of view but not really reflective of Sri Lankan hospitality that I know of. Bathrooms were styled different (which I liked) including hot water. Home cooked local breakfast was great. They even provided us a cake which was really nice. The host (Gayashan) is very friendly and accommodating, kept repeating 'make yourself at home' though he couldn't do much about our real concerns. Unfortunately I don't think this one is for those who are looking for basic comfortable accommodations. If you are tired of star hotels, luxurious mansions and want to experience how a local backyard with rugged facilities would feel like perhaps this may suit you. Can't recommend. Hopefully someone will find this review helpful.
