Quedlinburg is a rare gem that typically only Germans visit. This makes it amazing for the international tourists looking for something off the beaten path. It still however has a hangover from the Cold War era as there are several areas in the town that are begging for a clean up in key areas. The train station is one of them. It could be so cute with some paint and a broom. They are trying and you can tell they will fix it eventually. I think they take for granted. That people just dismiss the train station. Soon, they will need to relook at this important entry way and fix up the beautiful half-timbers and stone buildings.

Good place to get tickets and friendly staffs

It's still under construction from inside and only few sections or metres of the station are accessible of the railway platform.
