Super nice family restaurant with great food and great atmosphere

The most cozy family restaurant you can find, cheap prices and very good food! Even mister Stelio came to greet us talking for 10 minutes in Italian, only to realize that we didn't understand a word. Amazing experience!

This place is a real local food place. The owner works since ages ago with 3 of his children and this is the best place to find good quality local dishes. Unlike other turistic restaurants.. they provide good food with reasonable price. They open only for lunch 12.00-15.00. You need to take a ticket right at the front door in order to get a table. First come first serve.

Here out of season and the place is packed full of Italians. There is an English menu if a tourist can find a table. The waiters run around in a controlled frenzy but give excellent service. The food is basic home cooking but lovely and super cheap (esp given it’s a tourist city). The owner came out before closing to greet each table. Go for the experience if nothing else

A coworker of mine had highly recommended that I try some penne arrabbiata on my trip to Italy, so my wife and I hunted out one of the best places to give it a shot. We were not disappointed! It was delicious as well as the other food and dessert we had. The staff was very friendly and the menu was written in both Italian and English.

It is a local restaurant with very good food. Everything is fresh and tastes fantastic. The service is fast. It is a pity, that I couldn’t back next day. I highly recommend :).

Fantastic restaurant. This is a genuine, traditional and very tasty, quintessential Italian experience. The place is homely in just the right way, with a lovely local vibe and doesn’t feel touristy. It’s not fancy but still brilliant, with home cooked food prepared and served by three generations of the same family. Oh and it’s also very reasonably priced! If I could give it 6 stars I would.

Recommended by friends, I had lunch here. There was already a queue outside when I arrived at midday, a few minutes before they were open. Obviously a popular place with locals, service was faultless: fast and efficient. The menu had a large choice of typical local dishes and it was obvious that everyone knew the owners. Remarkable value for money and great food, I hope to go back very soon!

Unique Italian experience. Small wait but more than compensated by nice service, low prices and delicious food. Many options available, also for vegetarians. The food was there in only a couple of minutes. Highly recommended.

The best meal we have had in Italy!!! Quality food yet inexpensive & the atmosphere is authentic Italian. Highly recommend the grilled calamari. We absolutely return to this piece of paradise. Note: open 12-3 only. Arrive early, take a number. Enjoy💕

For the price is unbeatable. Home made food taste and feeling with nice atmosphere and service! Must visit if in Pisa! P.s. queue can get long and they have ticket system with number to wait outside . They have a few hidden tables at the back so place is not that small as well actually.

BEST PLACE TO EAT IN ITALY!! This was the most authentic, good for value food I have ever eaten in Italy. Pasta dishes were 5€, desserts €2.50, everything tasted incredible, fresh and the service was amazing. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but don’t let that put you off. It is a family restaurant clearly been there for ages and perfected their skill of cooking, they turned over about 7 tables in a lunch sitting and rightly so.

Authentic trattoria where to eat cheap local homemade food. Everything we ordered tasted fine and for the price it was definitely a great deal. I wish my pappardelle were not mostly broken but the rabbit sauce was still nice. The place is small so expect to have to quite a little bit unless you are lucky. You should also try their Tiramisu, it was only 2.5 euro and was one of the better ones I’ve tried at a restaurant.

Best resto i had in Italy, with really cheap prices for a big city resto. When people give negative feedback, they should also keep in mind the prices. For me the resto is clean, has excellent food with home made taste, the prices are half compared with similar places in the city, the staff is really fast and friendly. I wish more resto will be like this one in Italy. It was always full, with lots of Italians and some local people. The portions are corect.

It was great, but only one waitress could speak English. I do recommend you order some special pasta.

Typical local restaurant which is open just for lunch and weekdays. Home made food with low prices. The chef come to the tables to speak with the guests. Have to try if you are in Pisa.

My husband and I had a very good experience here. Food was typical "nonna food", with a homemade touch, very tasty and good price/quality relation. Stelio was passing trought table to table asking if we were ok, we think that was very nice from him. We felt like home, thanks guys!

Absolutely amazing place! In a sunny day go sit outside but do not worry if there's not enough space and get a table inside. It's such a history, such an amazing experience. You can feel that the place is being made by real people for real people. Simple italian food, great choice, amazing taste. The best tiramisu in the world! I wouldn't necessarily visit Pisa again but I would visit the restaurant if ever near by!

This is a very authentic place to have a meal in Pisa. They specialize in traditional toscan cuisine, but the also have the classics of Italian food. The staff is very nice, though sometimes a bit slow because the place is very busy. We even got to know Signor Stelio, that was distributing cards and having a friendly chatter with every table that day. Try the caciuco, is very tasty. The trattoria only opens for lunch though, and best to go in early, or you'll have to wait for table.

Home cooking and very authentic. Deserts are also excellent. The tables inside are crammed, but it didn't bother us. Very high quality for value.
