Basic but comfortable accommodation (double bed plus bunk beds for 2 adults and 2 kids). Check in was easy, and we had a comfortable night's sleep which is more than can be said for the 'posher' and far more expensive hotel that we'd stayed in the previous nights. Bathroom is very cramped, and we didn't opt for the breakfast. Checkout was also easy, and an easy short walk to the train station to depart Pisa Overall, not a hotel that you'd choose to spend a huge amount of your holiday time chilling out in, but a great location for exploring the city and a good night's sleep ahead of travelling onwards.

Location is good. Upon arriving there was no one at the reception however our key to the room was on the desk. The room was small but for the price very understandable. Although it is not soundproof and you can hear people talking in the hall or walking past. Paid extra for a bathroom inside and bedsheets and towels were provided.

We booked the quadruple room. The room was small but served the purpose. Beds were comfortable. The washroom was a bit small and for a big guy, I had to squeeze into the shower. But overall I would recommend it for sure. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. They offered to store our bags with them while we explored the city after checkout.

We stayed for one night with family. The early reception was good but later we discovered AC was not working. When I reported , they seem to not have s clue and just were trying to play around and inform the owner. Somehow we spent the night but next day the owner too was fooling around. Basically they were not ready to take ownership. The room is very tiny and not what it looks in picture. Bathroom too is very tiny and not comfortable to use. The only positive is the location which is 10 min walk from train station and also maybe a 25 min walk to PISA monument. Overall I would not recommend this place

from bad to worse we booked 2 room for the 2 adults and 4 kids family, when we got there the kids room wasn't within the hotel but 5 minutes walk away which for us wasn't acceptable, we decided to all stay in the apartment where the kids were staying as it would seem saver that way. we obviously complained and cancel the room at the hotel, however we were fully charge. the room at the hotel (which we only had a look at) stunk like a old ashtray, the bathroom were filthy, insect everywhere, poor hygiene terrible staff. the apartment wasn't much better, but it was only for a night A year later we got a letter from the Pisa police department regarding some parking fine, that we incurred during our stay there, Which seem odd as we were in the ZTL zone and the hotel took our car details to input in the system and told us to park across the road or in any street as we had the permit for it. It seem they either didn't fill the forms or didn't fill them properly. the fine amount to 1000 euros as every time we moved the car from 1 place to another another fine was issued. I have emailed, called, spoke to staff there for the past month to look into the matter and they are simply not responding or communicating back to us. an absolute joke!!!

As a last minute booking and price. We couldn't fault anything. Key was at reception on arrival. Room plus bathroom for 4 of us. Sadly due to stress earlier in the day my young daughter became very sick. Check out at 11. I spoke to the manager who although the hotel was fully booked allowed us to stay in the room till 12. Very grateful thank you

Located just outside central Pisa. First feeling is nice, beautiful reception and nicely renovated. Room could be decorated a little more to get a nice feeling. Nothing special at all but nothing bad!

Clean room clean sheets clean towels that's it , no kettle in our room or even a glass to drink water from the sink tap, our bathroom was outside our room down the corridor door didn't lock so anyone could use it only a A4 size paper stuck on the door with our room number on , our heater made a screeching noise had to tap it to stop the noise bed was hard TV control didn't work,I asked for battery to be changed and owner changed the door code halfway through our stay and we had to ring him up to get back in , he should have told us he changed it , also dogs barking most of the time nextdoor, we asked for a kettle but was offered some hot water, we won't be returning never again

Just what we needed for a stay in Pisa. We arrived late, and the code to the door was sent to us beforehand, and the room key was waiting on the desk. Decent size room with bath just enough for the one night. Good location. Not too far from the station or from the Leaning Tower

Why you throw my shampoo and shower gel in my bathroom (clearly it’s not thrash and it’s my own thing! )while I’m still living here ?

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Astor, and I can't say enough good things about it! Salvatore, in particular, was incredibly helpful throughout my visit. From the moment I checked in, he went out of his way to ensure I had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made me feel truly valued as a guest. The hotel itself was beautiful, with clean and well-appointed rooms, delicious dining options, and a fantastic location. I left with nothing but positive memories and a deep appreciation for Salvatore's excellent service. I can't wait to return to Hotel Astor for my next trip!

Used for a night stop over waiting for the rest of the party to join us the following day. Room was without an ensuite but we had private bathroom down the hall. Couldn't be bothered to get and pee during the night, though so a bit restless. Bed was comfy at least. Adequate for our requirements as we arrived just after 10pm - Comms was good. Aircon abit noisy.
