Just awfully small airport, people are literally sitting on each other. Also sockets don’t work, so people have to sit on the floors near couple of places where they work. Just awful experience.

Why there is no NO stars option available? Its terrible. If you have the time, better walk to your destination rather than spend one hour at this airport. Not enough place for all passengers, feels worse than a refugee camp. People sleeping on the floor while workers trying to get rid of huge garbage containers. And actually, when you arrive occupy the place on the floor as apparently that's the best place to be. Not enough for everyone.

Crowded, hot and poor services. Security line was short, but it dumps you into a fresh hell of swarms of travellers unable to find a seat or a decent meal. Air-conditioning is practically non existent. Free wifi was so overwhelmed that I just turned it off and used mobile data. Bonus points for seats with charging ports..that are not plugged in.

Worst airport of all time. Being here feels like getting evacuated. Food is out, toilets closed and people are fighting for seats. This airport is not only uncomfortable it has tremendous problems with security and safety. Pisa airport should be closed. It’s not made for that amount of human beings.

My experience was awful and very poor. We arrived at Pisa at midnight, the flight was late and after long queue at the immigration check-in we went out from the airport looking desperately for a travel service for take the train from Pisa to Florence. The airport has no one instructions for turists like us to take the "Pisa mover" to arrive at Pisa and the Pisa mover was out of service. We end out with take another ticket of 25€ each for take a bus for Florence waiting for 1h and half and even the bus was late! For returning back to the airport was even worse! Our flight for returning back to London was at 6am in the morning and we had to take a train at 00:40 because no bus or any travel service to the airport was available 🙃. So after arrived to Pisa Central we realized that the Pisa mobile to take us to the airport was out of service! We end out walking at the cold at 2:30 of the night and the silly thing is that we found the airport closed and we had to wait outside the building for more than 2 hours. I'm shocked. Never see something terrible as this experience. I would rate this with zero stars and I will never come back there.

This airport did it. This hell on earth made me hate travel. With it’s nonsense check in policy, we found ourselves sitting in the warm lobby for over 5 hours waiting for the check-in counter to open for our flight. This is 2022. Every other airport in the world allows for self check-in on these crazy devices we now have called cell phones. But not this relic of an airport. No. This place makes you wait, and wait, and wait for a counter to open. Then wait, and wait in a massive line to literally just show some employee a passport. Thanks Pisa, thanks for killing all joy I once had for travel. Edit: currently still waiting for them to announce the the check-in counter despite our flight leaving in 1 hour 50 minutes. What kind of sick joke is this place. Edit 2: check in was delayed for 30 minutes due to ‘system errors’. How great is that? After finally getting through security we were greeted with the most crowded stuffy airport Ive ever seen in my life. The picture says it all.

I flew out of Pisa airport on Sunday morning with Ryanair, the first flight of the day, arriving at the airport at just gone 7am. Straight through security, probably the 2nd or 3rd person. I waited in the main departure lounge, where there are several small cafes, for about an hour before going through to the departure gate, where there was another small cafe & plenty of seating. The flight left about 7 to 8 minutes late. The airport was clean & tidy. Staff were friendly & helpful and spoke good English. I returned late on Thursday, arriving shortly before 1am. Strangely when we got off the plane we had to catch a bus to transfer to the terminal, a journey of about 50m!?!?! That really didn't make sense. But within 10 minutes of arriving I was sat in a taxi. So no problems at all. Very happy with my short trip through Pisa. No waits, no crowding. I guess it just depends when you travel, the time of day or night.

The airport has met it capacity long time ago. 2-3m between each gate, most people are sitting on the floor + eating on the same spot, in staircase, overcrowded and lack of services. Sorry, Italy, Pisa might be “famous” for it’s tower ++, but you have a loooooong way go for improving you infrastructure. We are i 2022 and in Europe….. ;)

Very close to Pisa city center, very well connected, an automatic bus-shuttle for 5 euros, and it takes about 10 minutes, 2 stop stations. The airport is small, and can get quite full. But worth it, cause u don't waste lot of time with it. Could be good if you travel to Florence.

It is considered as a international airport, however there is no 24 hrs services. Security person asked us and many others to leave the lounge tonight at 12:00. Poor seatings and very less seats in the lounge. Pharmacy services were not available at 20:00. Many in the airport couldn't communicate in English. Lot of flies in the airport washrooms. USB port installed next to seats doesn't work at all.

Terrible experience communicating with the airport staff. I lost my wallet with everything in it at the airport and eventually missed my flight because of this. I asked multiple staff members for help but they acted very careless and most of them barely spoke a word of english (in an international airport) I received no help or any information even though i was a woman traveling alone, in a difficult situation abroad, and clearly experiencing a bad panic attack. One staff member directed me to the police office, but the police officers didn’t even answer the door when i asked for help through the intercom. (you need to ring a doorbell to speak to them) Not one police officer opened the door to speak to me. Airport staff witnessed this and did nothing. This was going on for a few hours until late in the evening, and multiple sketchy men started bothering me and following me around in and outside the airport entrance. Again, i saw a few staff members witnessing this up close and still acting careless. As a woman traveling alone this was terrifying. Overall this was a really bad situation that definitely could’ve been handled better by airport staff. Thank you so much to the one cleaning lady there, that took her time to help me during my panic attack though. I didn’t get her name, but she was so kind.

The airport is beautiful on the outside and seemingly kept clean on the inside. Security is thorough but also very quick and efficient. Once through security it goes downhill... No water fountain to fill water bottles (you have to use the bathroom drinkable tap water), the plug sockets for chargers do not work, and there are not a lot of options for food - a cafe that sells sandwiches/pastries etc or tortellini to go.

One of the worst airports I have ever been to in Europe. After security, you’re shoved into a really small space where there’s no place for all these people to sit. There’s people sitting on the floor, on the stairs, there’s barely any space to form a boarding queue. But they got their souvenir shops taking up a bunch of space that should be allocated to passangers confort and seating areas. Specially the Acqua dell Elba. Who wants to buy italian perfume under these circumstances??? There’s one bathroom - too small and not ventilated. There’s one coffee shop with barely any place to seat. Wi-Fi doesn’t work properly.Horrible. Vergnognoso.

After clearing security (which can be delightfully smooth if you’re lucky) there are next to no comforts in the general boarding area. The lounge “temporarily” closed in January and has remained shut since, with only two small eateries available beyond that (with only a handful of tables each) so you’re stuck sitting on a bench or floor whilst waiting to board. I can’t recall seeing the duty-free shop post passport control being open either. There is a new terminal under construction, but till that’s ready you might be best off waiting to clear security after checking in and remain in the public eatery which has an OK terrace till you get closer to boarding (but don’t risk it!).

After reading the reviews, I was bracing for the worst. It isn’t nearly as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be, but it is far from a great airport experience with lots of amenities. It is clean and and the security moved efficiently. Agents were friendly and sympathetic as our flight was rerouted from Florence due to BA incompetence (I’d give BA a zero on their LHR to FLR route. Just google it and avoid it. !!!). Food is ok. There isn’t much seating room at the lower gates but the gates after passport control had plenty of seating.

Competent, friendly staff, from airlines to vendors to security. Security managed the lines well. For early-morning travelers such as ourselves, the airport has lots of places close to the gates to get good coffee and a pastry for breakfast.

Avoid this place like the plague. If they had 1/10 of the passengers as they have it would be reasonable for a normal airport. Very few options to eat in the terminal and Nowhere near enough seats or space. All of the flights when we were here seemed to be late. If the ground crews are as organized as the terminal, I can see why. The whole place just kind of reminds me of a mosh pit.

Well..I didn’t like it much coz of no good public transport connectivity from airport. I had to take taxi and there was no other option. It was hard to figure out what’s best compared to other cities.

It’s a decent airport. Does the job similar to other airports. It’s small and therefore limited shops etc. Nice lounge.

Small airport mostly busy summer months about 90 km from Florence Transportation to Florence Direct buses also there is Small train which connect passengers to main train station, if you are flying early morning they will close the airport from 1:00 to 4:30 you have wait outside if it’s winter good luck

The airport is well connected to Pisa City centre by train . The airport is a little small now for the amount of passengers that arrive. They are working on making it bigger I have noticed. Overall it's not that bad .

Small, clean, convenient location to arrive in Toscana. All the times I was there everything went very fluently.
