Not on the grand scale of Siena, Pisa & Florence but never-the-less a nice simple baptistery with a lovely marble font as its centre-piece.

This is a must visit with plenty of history, art and religious things to keep you interested. Well worth a visit. Pay to enter. Pay extra to climb to the top which was worthwhile. All 79 steep steps. It gets very busy so if you're hoping for that people free photo - forget it. Do explore the little chapels off to the site as they are lovely. Mosaic artwork on the floor stunning The gift shop has some nice things. Wheelchair and kid friendly.

Baptistery San Giovanni in Corte, also known as Baptistery of San Giovanni di Rotondo. This octagonal baptistery was built in 1303-1339 by Cellino di Nese in front of the Cathedral of San Zeno. This is a splendid monument of the Tuscanian architecture of the XIV century. Pistoia, Tuscany, 🇮🇹 Italy 🇮🇹. May 7, 2017.
