definitely not somewhere i would shop again, online or in-person. multiple friends of mine have worked here and said it was absolutely awful. seeing the responses to some of these google reviews is also astounding. buy someplace else!

Crystal River Gems hides and deletes any review below 3 stars, which skews results. Management claims to care about the well-being of their employees, but when sales are down they couldn’t care less if employees are capable of paying their bills. They also don’t care about their customers considering they’re falsifying information about products including the ethical sourcing of their crystals and the validity of the products they carry (a lot of the products are now synthetic and sourced from warehouses in China, so how are you claiming to ethically source crystals?) This company doesn’t actually care about crystals or the people who purchase them, they just see a trend that they can cash in on. Please buy your crystals from a better source. EDIT: They’re also using AI to answer their customers, so how much do they really care about being transparent with their consumers? Deplorable!

Staff is really nice but the place itself gives me bad vibes. Most of the jewelry I've gotten here tarnishes and turns ugly (and turns me green), labeled as sterling but definitely not. Seems like it uses a lot of college-kid labor, and every time I go in I see a different staff member there. What kind of place has a turnover rate this high? Seems fishy to me. I wouldn't recommend it. Buy from a better place that doesn't abuse their staff.

I used to come here a lot when they were at fifth ave place. When I went there hardly anything was labeled but at least employees were friendly and helpful. At their new location in the diamond building they have a much larger selection (mostly amethyst), and even less labels. It was impossible to find what you needed, and the lone employee had headphones in. When I WAS able to finally get her attention, she made a guess and walked away. Also, a few of the pieces I picked up were definitely plastic and not real mineral. The selection is far too big to not have everything labeled, that's so frustrating. Wont be returning.

Stones are good usually. Variety is slim and prices have gone up again after the revamp of their site. I have had some especially the kunzite stated as stones and were chips. Prices are high at wholesale and shipping prices are horrible.

Good selection and great prices that won't break the bank, I've been able to get bigger pieces for my collection. You can also go on line and find really great deals.. The staff is knowledgeable and have a wonderful personality.

This place us amazing to say the least they had exactly what I was looking for, Amethysts Galore!!....you have to stop in this place you will not want to leave!!! Take a look at all of the beautiful treasures that come from the earth they are absolutely stunning with all of their brilliant colors and of of their mystical and healing powers. I just have to say once you walk into this place and you do get to see all of this beauty that will captivate and mesmerize you at the same time you will be amazed! Hands down one of the most mystical and beautiful places ive ever visited and their prices are very very reasonable and fair 😊

I was a fan for years. Recently I visited their shop and now I'm not a fan anymore. I wanted to buy a display of tumbled rocks. It was just over half a pound. The cashier asked the owner how to charge it. He told the cashier $15 (the price for a full pound). I thought I misunderstood, but when I got home the receipt didn't lie. The principle of being shafted, even for about $7 is annoying as hell. I bought from them 10 times or so over the last 10 years but I won't be back.

Excellent shop for crystals, molds, etc for wholesale cost. I find this shop to be a place where you know what you want and you go to get it, not so much a shop you would seek out for advice/practicing. To conclude, their prices are 10/10 and you will not find cheaper in/around the city. High quality and always have a pleasant experience with the team members!

I bought several bracelets among other things. I took one bracelet out, put it on my wrist and it was so small and tight it broke. Now I’m stuck with 16 unwearable bracelets. All the stones are great. I’ll order stones from them again!

Great shop overall! A lot of good materials and fun polished crystals. A little bit pricey, but it seems worth it for the quality. I bought several items for myself and as gifts for others and so far only one bracelet has chipped.

Great store with friendly staff and a very wide range of products available for purchase. They had a lot of stuff I hadn't seen before and I felt the prices were very good. There is certainly something here for every member of the family

my online order was not very good. im pretty sure i purchased what they call museum quality flats, but every single piece is a rough piece, not a specimen, each piece is broken, damaged, rough around the edges, destroyed and not in good condition. i would have NEVER purchased these items in this condition. they are selling rough stone as museum specimens.

Great mineral shop. First time visiting them in their new location. Space seems a bit smaller than previous location but much better lit and easier to browse. Prices are much more reasonable than many other mineral shops in the city. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I recently ordered from them multiple times this year. I LOVE the products. I know lots of people help with my orders and they are great!!. But JAE. is AMAZING. Super nice super patient, and efficient. No matter how crazy I make them...that team is on top of the world. The products.... pleasantly surprise me no matter how much I spent. Thanks guys!
