Definitely an experience to behold. They take very simple breakfast foods and elevate them in a way that's really spectacular and you can't beat the location. It's a short walk from the convention center and the Westin and AC. The union trust building is gorgeous. The portions are large and the prices are fair. The mimosas are good, the food is better, and the presentation is best 💕

This was our 2nd time at the Speckled Egg and it was just as good as the 1st! I would highly recommend making a reservation well in advance, as the wait times are usually long/or they don’t have any tables available. We had gone while they had a Valentine’s Day special menu in addition to their regular menu. My husband chose the quiche of the day, while I had the crab omelette. They were both out of this world, packed with so much flavor and fresh ingredients. I loved that they gave you a few choices of breads to choose from and they were pre-buttered! We also had a side of bacon, which was a little overdone for my palate but nevertheless still good. My husband had a Bloody Mary while I had a mimosa. They have a fully stocked bar and a quick “grab and go” area to get coffee/tea. Our server Levi was also super pleasant and knowledgeable. He gave the background behind all of the specials (like where the oysters were from, how they were prepared, that you could get dessert to-go, etc.), and was a pleasure to have wait on our table. The Speckled Egg is the best breakfast/brunch place in Pittsburgh.

Brunch at The Speckled Egg was a delightful experience. Reservations are certainly needed - we still had to wait a few minutes to get a table with our reservation since it was so packed, but there was plenty of seating in the beautiful building so the wait was easy. In terms of dining, there was a nice variety of drinks available and the cold brew was great. The food is fairly standard brunch fare, but done very well. If you're looking for a great brunch, definitely consider swinging by.

An amazing experience! Delicious food inside of one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever been inside of! All of the food was amazing and our server Grace was fantastic and very on top of things and very welcoming. We will absolutely be back, my new favorite place to eat in all of Downtown. Thank you for putting a candle on our slice of delicious pie for my mom's birthday!

Great food, forgot to place a reservation, but It was perfect because we were able to grab drinks before we were seated at the bar. Incredible aesthetic. My friend and I enjoyed our mimosa and espresso martini. Highly recommend.

Visiting Pittsburgh for the weekend, so decided to grab breakfast here. They made espresso drinks, which was a huge win for me. Food was good, venue was clean, and the staff was super kind. Got the Avo toast, goat omelette and lavender latte! 4 stars because - hear me out - $10 for Avo toast? I figured it would come with one or two egg omelet or scrambled eggs on the side. It did not - so taking away one star. Overall - great place and I’m sure it would be a 5/5 for many!

Brought my wife and daughter for brunch. Food was excellent and the service was great. Sampson was very efficient and all of the staff were very polite. Their eggs Benedict is an absolute must. Will definitely be coming back again.

Great breakfast and even better server! Levi was very knowledgeable of the menu and super helpful in his recommendations. I got the classic breakfast: two eggs, protein and toast. My wife got the hen’s hash: two eggs, potatoes, red onion, cremini mushrooms, broccolini, snow peas, and toast. I got an Irish coffee and she got a mimosa, everything was absolutely delicious! Cute atmosphere as well.

Great food and atmosphere. Our waitress was super cool and got us everything we needed fast. The French toast was surprisingly light for being bread and the cold pressed juices were awesome!! Wasn’t a big fan of the yogurt parfait, not sure if it just wasn’t sweet enough for my taste but the fruit and honey helped. We will certainly be back.

The moment we stepped into the speckled egg, we were impressed by the adorable decor and friendly smiling staff! Our waitress, Grace, was so pleasant! Although The menu isn't large, the menu has a lot of delicious dishes. We enjoyed everything we tried! The coffee is great too! It's in a lovely building downstairs, the union trust building. We can't wait to go back and try again!

5 Stars It was top on the search list for a reason. Seating at the bar will give you an amazing vibe, doesn't let you leave the place that easily. Great customer service the barista/bar tender gives you the right input on what to order. Loved the food, vibe, service. Definitely it's my Brunch place for future visits to Pitts.

Overall, the restaurant is good and remember to make a reservation. I ordered the Ted Lasso omelette with crab meat. The omelette is not as moisture and fluffy as the one I expected, but it tastes good. The smoky ham inside taste really good and it has a lot of crab meat. Also, the whole wheat toast comes with butter melted into it, which makes it tastes really good. The hen’s hash with avocado is also really good. The egg is cooked to perfect. The hash is cooked with corn and asparagus. We made our avocado toast by putting the avocado, egg and sour dough together.

Trendy cafe with a great menu. We've eaten lox and bagles for many years and have tried it in cities all over the US, but this is without a doubt the best we have ever had. Loved the grits and french toast as well. Worth the wait!

Cute breakfast spot in downtown Pittsburgh. It’s a great place to stop with friends or colleagues if you’re working or staying downtown. Otherwise, you have to find a parking garage and walk to it. Seating was interesting depending if you’re placed in a high top window seat or outside in the hall area. The hens hash was delicious and you get decent portions for the price! :) Love their coffee, too.

On a scale of cotton candy to Brussels sprouts, The Speckled Egg PGH is the chef's special. Every bite is artfully created, plated, and enjoyed. I've heard rave reviews of The Speckled Egg, and it lived up to those raves! My partner and I struggled to find parking, but we ended up in a nearby parking garage (phew, construction). Then we walked the 3 blocks to The Speckled Egg. We were seated in a "window seat" at the restaurant where we could lean into pillows and the charming atmosphere of the space. The restaurant was hopping, but we didn't have to wait a minute when we arrived for our reservation (and that's amazing!). We loved everything.

Been here a few times now and there’s a reason it’s always fully booked. It has such a great atmosphere in the Union Trust’s swanky lobby. Service has been impeccable and friendly every time I’ve been (thanks Levi) and the food is delicious. Just make sure you make a reservation. It’s amazing (and kind of hilarious) how many walk ins get turned away, as there isn’t even a waiting list.

Excellent breakfast and our server Levi was amazing. We had the brown butter French toast, poppy seed pancakes, and house made sage sausage. The sage sausage was a bit sweeter than expected but still very good. The French toast and pancakes were awesome. The coffee is very good. We tried the Vitamin Sea juice, which had a ton of cucumber flavor, it was hard to taste the pineapple which is fine with me as I like cucumber and expected that flavor to overshadow the pineapple. Hubby had a cortado which he said was well made.

Located within the Union Trust Building, this wonderful little establishment meshes well with the overall elegance of the building's atmosphere. The service was great. They were kind and courteous. The Goat Omelet and Eggs Benedict were just to die for! They also serve good lattes and mochachinos. The Poppy Seed Pancake tastes more like a muffin, but it was also satisfactory. Reservations are advised, but I'd definitely recommend this spot.

Absolutely TOP NOTCH! Service and food were excellent. We had a most helpful server who gave recommendations and helped make our first visit a memorable one. Highly recommend paying the Speckled Egg a visit!

If you are looking for an outstanding brunch in downtown Pittsburgh, you have to try The Specked Egg. They have a wide variety of breakfast food, coffee, and cocktails, and none of it disappoints. I had the classic breakfast, but the star of the show was my wife's GOAT omelet. We also ordered the French toast, and it was amazing. Treat yourself to a great breakfast next time you are in Pittsburgh.

Food and environment were nice but service is a bit below average, the waitress that serves me was always too busy talking to another pair of customers and ignored my need for service a few times which was very frustrated. The girls at the reception were very nice though. Can still go if you want nice environment/decor/pictures. Don’t go if you really care about service.

Really cool spot for breakfast. I loved the vibe and great service. There were a few details about my eggs benedict that weren't on the menu. The english muffin wasn't a normal one, so it's not what I expected, and I didn't love the flavor.
