Very nice park. Good for running. I saw multiple deer and they were very cool. Much Hillier than I expected but still good.

Loved it here . It was a nice outdoor walk in the area after we left Phipps. We got a nice woods walk meets city vibe. A lots of cool old bridges and walk ways. Cool infrastructure! Was a nice way to get exercise as well! Definitely must experience at least once! Nice for the surrounding college areas to get a scenic view!

Phipps Conservatory is a magnificent botanical garden in the middle of Pittsburgh. Close to University of Pittsburgh and other area colleges it has myriad and beautiful displays of plants from all around the world and currently is showing light designs and Christmas oriented displays including both indoors and outdoors of live plants of all kinds. Lots of people from around the world come to visit this every year. The pictures tell the story. A fun stop and a place to visit at least annually.

Schenley is probably my favorite park in Pittsburgh. It's big and offers a lot of trails with beautiful features. It's perfect for every age and for walking, biking, running, or hiking. It has a beautiful view of the city and of the Cathedral of Learning in Oakland and Phipps Conservatory. The trails aren't well marked but they are obvious and it's impossible to get lost. If it wasn't for the road noises it'd feel like if you were in the woods.

Excellent city park to forget you are in the city. Nice trails for all hiking levels.

Well managed trails. Tranquil. Great diversion from the lively clamor of Oakland. How lucky to have them both in proximity.

One of the best city parks I've ever been to. Wildlife everywhere, especially deer and great for bird watching. Be prepared for some stairs. But many trails are gravel or even stone, which beats muddy trails. Close to Pitt, Museums, cafes, everything. Very safe, big spaces, and woody paths.

The Christmas lights display at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is AMAZING. Highly recommend it, perfect evening, so many beautiful displays and plants to see. The only way it could have been better is if they had professional photographers stationed at one of the many photo spots - maybe you could schedule 15-minute slots in advance to avoid crowding, and give others the chance to take some pics of themselves and loved ones. Absolutely gorgeous, will definitely be back!

One of the most beautiful and unique cities I've had the good fortune to visit. Pittsburg (and this park) is clean, fun, and home to the friendliest people! The architecture is so unique, and I love the pride here!

Absolutely beautiful! I love walking my dog in Schenley Park. There is a clean and accessible bathroom near the carousel with 24 hour security surveillance. I feel a little safer in this park knowing there are cameras. Who knows if anyone is actually monitoring them?! The food vendors are all super kind. There is Mediterranean food along with ice cream and more. There is even a ping pong table open for free play along with lots of benches to relax. The Mary E. Schenley Memorial Fountain, "A Song to Nature" is a must see! I learned the designer of the Lincoln penny also designed the fountain. It is beautiful. There is so much history, culture and heritage in Schenley Park. There are also live music performances and events held at Flagstaff Hill. There is so much to do with a wide variety of events geared to all ages, lifestyles, and cultures. I love the diversity and inclusivity of the park. It is a wonderful place to picnic, dance, eat, enjoy music, play, and relax! My only question is why is walking my dog on the lawn at Schenley Plaza prohibited, according to the posted rules? My dog loves to roll in the grass and explore. The concrete and asphalt get hot during the summer while the salt burns his paws in the winter.

I love the trails available big mature trees around. Trails are nicely tucked under the tree canopy so they are mostly shaded and therefore cooler. They are nice a wide trails with very few bicyclists which is always nice for those of us walking with dogs 😌. The grass is well kept which makes for perfect lounging under a big tree. 🌳

The best spot in Pittsburgh for a sunset scene. Also, there are plenty spaces for jogging, having a picnic, sunbathing, and playing tennis. In the winter, when the meadow is covered by snow, it looks really relaxing.

A beautiful park with many walking paths. We went to Phipps conservatory. There is free parking right in front of it. We really enjoyed the beautiful flowers and the creative displays they had on for Christmas.

I absolutely love Phipps. Their winter display is absolutely gorgeous. I go every single year. Also their flower displays throughout the year are magnificent. Definitely a place to go if you have never been.

Beautiful set up and tranquil waterfall.I love that the trees were kept in place and the cement area surrounded them! I loved it!

The Phipps is a wonderful place to visit! The flowers are beautiful & they do an amazing job with their displays! It's quiet & there are many rooms to see! They have inside & outside plants. There's a really nice gift shop too! The Phipps has a cafe which has a nice menu with good healthy options. And there's beer & wine too! They have different displays several times a year & I look forward to seeing each one! I highly recommend a visit here!

The park is super peaceful sometimes if you're lucky you can see ducks walking around they might bite you so be careful. There isn't much thing to do except relaxing and sitting on the grass and talking to people however if you like those peaceful things then this might be the place to go

It's a nice little park with sufficient amounts of space for many parties. Great for picnics, small sporting activities, gatherings, and sometimes events and live music. Mostly calm and safe through the morning to night. In some instances later in the night, there may be a homeless person sleeping on the benches.

Went to Phipps and looked at all the amazing plants and trees and everything was decorated with Christmas lights and a blown glass show. Was an excellent experience. They also give discounts for people with EBT cards.

The frisbee golf course was open even in the wooded areas. Made for a beginner like myself to play with more confidence. Very relaxing, fun course!

Great place to take a walk in the woods while in the Oakland area. Many different entrances but I think the easiest is to park near the Library or Phipps. Not generally crowded and you can choose to walk along the street in places or take one of the trails. Warning though, some of the trails can get a bit steep. Also may need to walk up a decent amount of steps. All-in-all a cool urban park with tons to do within a few minutes.

Nice walk through the park with a decline down and incline up. The trail is semi-paved and gravel with rails and steps. There are shaded/wooded areas around the pond for a grassy picnic.
