This place is rad. The happy hour oyster prices are on point! $1-$2. One evening turned into three in a row. All employees were super cool with me. I’d recommend the oysters, char oysters, po boy, and truffle fries; which is everything I tried, lol. I’m sure it’s all good. The place was packed and jamming on a Tuesday evening! Walking in the second time, Rachel knew my entire order and preferences amidst a sea of other customers and their requests. I felt so welcome, especially after not dining out in 1.5 years. Which is why I came back. Go here. Now. Feel good.

Service was very good. Staff is knowledgeable for first timers with questions. The food was nothing short of amazing. The sandwiches we had were stuffed with meat and they were very good. The oysters were very good. We had the cooked oysters and raw oysters and both were done exceptional. The restaurant is not very large, so they fill up quickly and you could potentially have to wait. But its worth it.

Hands down the shrimp and grits was the best dish among a group of absolutely amazing dishes. The coffee is strong, and made with chicory. This is a place that will require multiple trips to try everything, and/or a larger group who is willing to share. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the Blues tracks roll on.

I decided to dine at Muddy Waters with family, and I am glad we chose the restaurant. The food was really good, and very similar to the traditional New Orleans cuisine. We had several menu items, and they were all great. The drinks were really good as well. Initially, they thought the oysters were undercooked for chargrilled, but the final taste was really good. There were no complaints about the food. The lobster and crawfish roll had a garlic taste, but was really good. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

The seafood tower is fresh and fun, not my favorite, but my wife enjoyed it very much. The Fried alligator app was very good. The gumbo was above average , my wife thought the Shrimp and grits were wonderful. Desserts were tasty so will definitely go back. Only negative in my opinion the meals are a bit over priced, but isn't everyting nowadays

Muddy Waters was a fantastic surprise! We received a gift card and decided to try it out. We loved everything. The staff was very friendly and the happy hour specials were amazing! $1 and $2 Oysters!!!! Very fresh and authentic food. The cocktails were tasty as well. I would definitely recommend and I know we will be back!

Very fresh oyster bar! The hot chicken is also very good. I loved the banana pudding! But it’s really loud and I couldn’t hear my friends even he sat in front of me.

Got there at 7:30, there was no wait, our server was fantastic and very helpful and attentive. The food was delicious - we got the crab dip appetizer, and a raw bar sampler, both of which I definitely recommend. The beignets for desert were also exactly what I wanted them to be. We'll definitely be back!

Cute and cozy place, perfect for a date night. First visit here and liked the vibe. I liked the Chargrilled Oysters and the Jambalaya. The Maryland Crab Dip was the best dish out of the ones we tried. Not authentic NOLA or Cajun food but still good enough, with a modern twist. Only disappointed with the beignets, absolutely no flavor in them. The service, the staff and the ambiance was great. Would definitely visit again to try different seafood 🦞 items on the menu.

We finally got a chance to stop here. We love the New Orleans vibe. Place is small, long and very narrow. We were seated immediately. I recommend reservations if they are available. Parking was on the street around the corner. Happy hour was until 6:30pm. Decent experience as expected. We tried several happy hour appetizers and a few drinks for starters. Crab dip was good. Husband enjoyed oysters. Was not a fan of the strong gamey meat taste in the boudin balls. Biscuits were good. Corn Bread was sweet, thick with a texture of homemade cake. Gumbo was tasty with the rich taste of beef broth. Lobster Roll was just ok. My husband wanted the taste of more lobster than crawfish filling. I had a few pieces of grilled shrimp. The Hurricane was tart and not overly sweet. Ginger beer was good. Thanks to our amazing waiter Adrian for taking great care of us this evening.

Tonight was my first time here and it did not disappoint. I frequent New Orleans often each year and Muddy Waters gave me a piece of that here in Pittsburgh. Live Jazz music, Fantastic Creole food, raw bar and great service. The owners also are actively working hands on with the staff to provide awesome service as well. 100% would recommend.

This is a hidden gem. My husband and I came here for dinner on a Sunday. There is street parking but good luck finding a spot. Sunday was great so we grabbed a spot right on a side street. Inside was not crowded so we got a seat fast. Food: I've never tried oystes but since we came here it was only right to try. I was scared to try raw so I tried the chargrilled ones which were AMAZING. That sauce and bread was EVERYTHING. We also tried the Maryland Crab dip which was 🔥. It definitely made me excited for my entree to come. The shrimp poboy. You just have to try it. They were not stingy with the shrimps which was a plus. The fries were seasoned perfectly, so much that my husband kept stealing some. My husband enjoyed his meal as well. Drink: voodoo temple was good. The only downfall was too much crushed ice. Bring your own straw cause the ones they give are kinda done after it's been sitting in your drink too long. All on all we enjoyed our experience. We will be back to try some more of the items.

Great food, decent serving sizes, and okay prices. I want to come back to try the oysters, but I just got a few basic items from this place for a dinner. I tried the hush puppies with remoulade and the beignets with chocolate sauce. Both were very good. The hushpuppies were some of the best I've had in a long time. They were better than those I had at a specialty seafood spot on the beach a few years ago. They had little chunks of corn still in there, great texture (crispy outside and soft inside, not too crumbly), and the perfect amount of savory seasoning. The remoulade was also quite good. Thick, creamy, and a tad spicy. I could definitely there is horseradish in there. I thought they gave more than enough for the couple of hushpuppies. The beignets were awesome as well. Great portion size, fluffy on the inside, and a nice dusting of powdered sugar on the top. Delicious. And the chocolate sauce was thick and not too sweet either. The good kind of chocolate sauce. All in all, a nice spot for seafood and sides. Very tasty hushpuppies and beignets as well as side sauces. Somewhat pricey though.

Oysters, cocktails, entrees were excellent. But it was the CREW made me LOVE this restaurant! We brought our toddler (seemed a good idea at the time), and everyone was exceedingly kind and thoughtful and gracious to us. The hospitality was next level!!! I hope management recognizes what a fine bunch of humans they have on their team!

Oyster Rockefellers were very tasty, fresh oysters and great cocktails, I came in for happy hour and I really enjoyed myself. I ordered the hot chicken and the jumbalaya. The jumbalaya was great full of flavor. The hot chicken was crispy a little salty but the flavor was smokey and spicy, the collard greens were elite.. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was refreshing.

About the place : The vibe of the place was interesting. Small bar in a vertical spaced restaurant. Somewhat seafood restaurant bar by the beach like vibes. About the food : First we started by ordering drinks from their cocktail menu. The presentation was amazing. But that was the best thing about the drink as I felt the drink just had ice in it and nothing else was very expensive ice for me. Then we ordered 1. Chargrilled oysters : They served just six again I felt they were pricy. But had a decent taste to it as I have had better ones. 2. Maryland Crab dip : Next one was this crab dip. It was good and so was the bread we got with this. 3. Jambalaya: The serving size was pretty small and pricy. But this dish tasted good like a biryani like someone said in one of the reviews. 4. Beignets: Finally ordered beignets. Maybe we were too excited for this one just to get disappointed in the end. We were served frozen beignets that were deep fried just before they were served and maybe they should have fried it more as it was clod from inside. These were served with chocolate jam kinda thing which we didnt like as well. Rating : Ok!! Would not go there again.

This was my second time visiting this restaurant and it was a very nice night. The drinks, food and atmosphere was great. My family from Hawaii was in town and they really enjoyed themselves. I went with the chargrilled oysters my first visit. I tried the shrimp and grits this visit and it was the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. This will be my new date night spot or where I take my family to eat.

Butter on the lobster roll was a bit overdone. The bun was kind of hard to hold. Also a little too salty. The oysters were great though! And the fries are top notch. Will be coming back for the oysters.

Very nice, very small restaurant. Food was awesome and they had a nice selection of menu items not normally seen in this area. Looking forward to going back again very soon, still lots to try.

Absolutely fantastic drinks and food. While the fresh oysters are what bring folks in, the chargrilled oysters are even better! Lobster eggs Benedict was amazing, as were the bloody Marys. The food is only outdone by the great staff.
