I had sushi lunch it came with super salty miso soup and a salad. I told the waitress I don't like cucumbers but the salad had cucumbers on it with some dried out slices of carrots on top. Sushi had very gummy rice and the shrimp on top was falling apart in half also I have to ask the waitress for soy sauce dipping dish she did not bring it before I asked. The worst part of this experience was I used the restroom afterward the stall had big one inch gap on the side of the door and I could see who's coming in and out. Same waitress that waited on me came in use the restroom came out and did not wash her hands and went straight back out to the floor that is just disgusting!

Delicious food! We got some sushi and a bowl and everything was very good. We were especially surprised by how good the bowl was and look forward to going back to have it again!

Good experience overall! We had a big group dinner here. All the dishes are so big though so keep that in mind when you order!

Nice find! Very clean, friendly, spacious and fairly priced. Sushi, was good enough. Noodle dish I had, awesome. Literally just pointed at something new and it came out looking and tasting great. Will try and come back to try some more!

May 2023 Godaiko still offering 2 for 1 special on all their sushi rolls, which started during Covid in 2020. Enjoyed a few rolls tonight ~ eel asparagus, spicy salmon, and spicy tuna with cucumber 2022 Lunch or dinner...food is excellent! Customer service always attentive and friendly. This time for lunch instead of sushi, I ordered Pork Katsu Curry and Pork Katsu Bowl to compare the two, which both come with miso soup and salad. We had shrimp and vegetable tempura as appetizer. LOVED the pork katsu curry rice!!! The flavors are sooo good. You don't even need the meat! There is a version that is just the curry with rice. As for the pork katsu bowl, this was good, but not as good as the curry one in my opinion. My friend enjoyed it. The sauce is a bit sweet for me. It comes with a few varieties of pickled vegetables for accent to the pork and drizzled egg in the bowl. Both orders were generous in portions for lunch and enough to share. Will be back to try a few other lunch menu items next time!

Authentic, quiet atmosphere. Fresh sushi, in large portions, and speedy service. We tried the Fusion Salmon roll, which was our favorite, although some pieces were 2 - 3 bites. We also ordered 1 Hot Spicy Californian roll that was about 24 smaller bite pieces, more than enough for two. We enjoyed Perfectly Steamed Edemame alongside. Highly recommend.

Don’t get me wrong the place was alright but the amount of actual fish in the sushi is so minimal that it’s basically just a vegetarian roll. Little disappointed for $30

Wonderfully prepared fish. Unagi(eel) was so good and portion was huge and came with gelatinous boiled egg. Loved the way they prepared the salad.

The food is enjoyable, but the sushi rolls are 90% rice. For the price, you would hope there would be a “normal” amount of meat.

Unnecessarily Deliciousness to all your senses! On my travels, I look locally for a sushi cuisine to compare to Godaiko….haven’t found it! (Sushi..buy one get same one free-amazing value!) Try the flying yakisoba also! This small decorative restaurant has large 5 star quality of character and taste. Dine in, not to go….it’s Godaiko! 5 💫💫💫💫💫 I’m always somewhere and nowhere…follow me to see where I’m not!

Everything here was good... food, service, decor (although there was a little too much stock & day to day business items out on display) and the portions were huge so bring an appetite! Will definitely go back if in the area.

Extremely good Asian food, we happened be there during a buy on get free sushi special. We got wat to much food. I was very excited to a few different mushroom options on the menu. We also ordered spicy kobe beef fried rice it was delicious. Rae ordered tae with his meal he said it had a very good flavor, it was not bagged green tae but mocha green tea.

Ordered some sushi! Very nice meal. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. My favorite was the California rolls and the teriyaki chicken. Very delicious 😋😀🍣. What a beautiful location as well! Excellent meal overall and the some of the best in Ann Arbor!

I LOVE their chicken fried rice. I have to get an order every time I go through Ann Arbor. It's different than any other fried rice I've had. Broccoli, zucchini, corn... YUMMMM

Soup and salad were good. Sushi was not as fresh as it could be -- Tuna, salmon and Hamachi. Rice portion on the sushi was way too large even though fish itself was larger than typical. Spider role - same comment (rice too much) plus the soft crab could have been more crunchy. Service and ambience were okay. Not quite 4 stars but closer to 4 than 3. So, rounding up here.

I came in during a busy Saturday night so my party of two had to sit at the bar, but the service was good and the food was even better. I had the shrimp fried rice and it was fantastic. The seasoning is great and it came with plenty of shrimp.
