My partner and I went twice so far, our first time going we had Hanna as a server, and today we had kyan(im so sorry i’m most definitely spelling his name wrong). we sat at the dining side and the service here is amazing!! so so nice and clean in this place. the food was delicious, i love sushi and for the price it was incredible. we also got calimari, the ragoons, and the fried icecream and fried cheesecake (not all on the same day lol). everything we got was insanely good i cant get enough of this place. if u get apts and deserts it definitely can get expensive, but in my opinion everything was very reasonably priced. if i could give this place 10 stars i would i cant say enough good things about this place LOL.

Their Hibachi grill is fun and it was a 5 star but food was 4 star! Our chef was nice and friendly. We got VIP for two and that gave us 3 choices of meat. It also came with Miso soup, a bowl of fried rice and some grilled veggies! You could add more for an extra charge but the portion was already a lot; maybe good for 3! You can ask for box/boxes if you like to take your leftovers. Regarding reservation: I saw online that they accept reservation, so I called but they said: it is not required! There was a 35 minutes wait when we got there, so we sat at the bar! It was nice. It was just the two of us and they waited for more people to join for the Hibachi grill. I assume you shouldn’t wait much long if you have a large party.

The taste isn’t bad I’d give the taste 6/10 but I just feel like the serving sizes are so ….sparse for takeout? You definitely don’t get the same food in takeout as you get sitting down at the GRILL, sitting is definitely 3x better taste wise. This was $27 takeout(I did eat one shrimp I got 7 in total). You get 1 cup of rice, 1/3 cup of meat choices and barely 1/2 cup of veggies, small salad and soup for $27+ tip. It sounds like a lot but when you get it you’ll see how small the serving sizes are. You can eat this $30 meal and still be hungry, unless you’re a small child. You can stare at the bottom of the container looking at your food that’s just how sparse the serving sizes are. I am just mad at how much I paid, and if you ask for extra sauces they charge for that too regardless of the bill but sitting you could get unlimited refills on yum yum or any sauce 😭. I will say that the hostess are polite but they can’t make up for the sparse servings. I actually paid $45 + tip because I wanted extra meat and extra rice which I uploaded th pic of those servings. The extra meat was $11 and the extra rice $4. The first pictures are what you’d pay $30 for

Ate on the dining side (not hibachi). Service was prompt and super friendly! Rolls were generous and tasty. Good selection of fish, everything tasted fresh. Would love to come back next time I’m in town!

Very nice restaurant with good 🍣. My Girlfriend loves ichiban whenever we are in Ypsilanti. They have the Hibachi Grills too, as well as a nice bar. Great place to take a date they have seats with curtains to give your table privacy. Perfect for this current day and age of social distancing.

Decent Hibachi experience - first time at this lication. We celebrated a birthday here. The food was pretty good, the show aspect was ok, but we've seen better. Service was not great, but this is a typical issue for Ann Arbor/Ypsi restaurants. Overall ok, but we like the Canton location better.

Very tasty. Chefs are entertaining. Seating is kinda tight but decent. Waitstaff is proper. Good sushi but I only get the crispy salmon skin 🤤🤤

Went there yesterday and the food was very good! Waitress was nice and very attentive. Food was average price, not too expensive... $42 for 2 people. Will definitely consider returning.

Our waiter Mateo and chef Leo was great! Food was delicious and service fabulous! Vegetarian hibachi option. The food was fresh and yummy!

I've been here plenty of times for takeout and once for dine in and the food is always top notch and consistent between visits. I would also say the price is fair and expect to pay $20-40 per person. If you plan on dining in I would recommend calling ahead for a reservation. The wait times are usually short but their waiting area is small, often crowded, and close to the door. Best to get through there quickly or wait elsewhere to have the best time.

Kyon was a phenomenal waiter. He knew all the specials and was very friendly, professional and attentive. He had our special requests mastered. The food was very delicious. I just wish the to go yum yum cups were filled to the top. We will definitely be back!

I’ve been here a few times for sushi. The food is high quality and the staff are friendly and good at what they do. Planning to try the hibachi next time. It can get loud when busy. People come here a lot for birthdays and they will sing to you. ☺️ Prices are a little higher than some other Japanese places nearby.

Logan was amazing throughout the entire experience. I have never had such excellent service before. Truly coming back again for him!!! Also so much leftovers too. We hope he is getting the pay he deserves!!!

Kyon was a great host for our lunch that included starters of soup and house salads, and a main course of chicken udon noodle soup, sushi, hibachi steak and salmon paid with Sapporo beer. Great experience.

Have been here 4 times and always a nice experience. The hibachi is pretty standard nothing exceptional but service is always good and I enjoy the food. I'm a sushi lover so I gravitate more towards that. Not the largest menu and a lot of spicy items but they will accommodate you if needed. My sushi was fresh and I love the private booth they have for larger groups.

Although the restaurant was not busy, we did have to spend quite a bit of time waiting for the chef – we actually had to go and check to see if anyone was coming to our grill at least three different times. There was no discount or dessert offered due to the inconvenience.

Great food. Steak is always perfectly cooked. Hibachi is a good show and non-hibachi area has a cool vibe too. Hannah was very nice. There was a bit of a delay getting our food, but they went above and beyond to make it right, we didn’t complain they just took the initiative to make things right. Great experience!

Wish I could give half stars. The meat was good wished there was more flavoring to it. The side salad was amazing the sushi was amazing. The service was good. However our chef did not do as much of a show that I am used to so that was a little sad due to the fact that we took our daughter there so she can experience it all. The other down fall was when we payed. The server gave us a machine to insert our card and pay. But the total price due was the only thing I could see. So I did the tip and then I requested a print out of the receipt. I did not receive the receipt so we had to wait for the server to go print it out. As we walked out and got in the car I realized we got charged an extra $15 for an extra kids dinner. We went back in to get our $15 back but we did not receive our full $15 even when I tipped on the price with the extra $15. What the lady explained did not make sense on why I couldn’t get the full$ 15 that was charged even still keeping the full 20% tip. If I didn’t request a print out of the receipt then they could have gotten away with keeping an extra $15 w/o me knowing.

The place is nice, typical Japanese. Sushi ingredients are fresh and tasty, portions are good and the prices are acceptable.

Good food. A bit on the pricey side but good nonetheless. The only problem we had with our group of 4 was that 3 of us had ordered different sushi rolls as our entree and they put them all together on one plate which came out 15 minutes before the one hot entree for the one party member who didn't want sushi. Even the server said she didn't know why they did that. So, being polite, we waited until the hot food came out before we started eating.

Absolutely fantastic. I sat on the Hibachi side. The service was suberb. Our waitress was very on top of everything. (I believe her name was Alexandra?) The chef was also amazing. He was fun, and seemed to be having a good time. He also cooked the food perfectly. It was delicious. It is a little bit pricey, but you get everything you pay for, and more.

A great place if you're into Habachi. I went on a Tuesday night so I didn't expect their A game but it was still a pleasant experience. The staff was super friendly. The cook wasn't the best of performers and he made a salty mistake on my filet, but he was polite. The portions were a little small compared to other hahachis I've been to, but that could be something across all restaurants so I won't knock them for it. If I had gotten more it would have went home anyways so it's not a huge issue. I'll definitely stop by again if I'm in the area.

The sushi is amazing!! Ordered the California rolls, shrimp tempura rolls and a plate of shrimp tempura. Nice fresh taste. Plates where nicely done. Would definitely go back and eat some more. But next time will dine in.
