We stayed here for one night, before the Mid-American Poms State Championship at the EMU Convocation Center, a quick and easy 5 minute drive away. Check in was quick and easy, and we were able to get into our room an hour before check in time. Our room was very clean and fresh. Everything worked without issue and it was very comfortable. There was a mini fridge and microwave, which was nice. The hotel itself was also clean and comfortable. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but it looked very nice. The breakfast area was on the small side, and the choices were limited to the usual continental breakfast choices, but it was a nice breakfast. The Bearclaw Coffee was excellent! Hotel staff was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a pleasant, clean friendly place to stay, close to major roads and attractions. Thank you Ann Arbor Regent Hotel for the great stay!

ONLY for the sake of hanging out in a hot tub- myself and three others decided to book ONE night at this hotel FOR $250 after the Michigan game this past Saturday. We could have easily driven home after the game as it was a day game and we only live a half hour away, but thought it would be fun and relaxing to spend some time in a hot tub. At no point in the week between booking and arriving, nor upon check-in were we informed that the hot tub was closed. If we were informed upon check-in, we would have gladly taken a refund and driven home to do what we did at this hotel- sit in a room and watch TV. As soon as we realized the hot tub was closed, we asked the man at the front desk if we'd be able to get a refund as that was the only reason we booked a hotel at all. He stated we needed to speak the manager who (conveniently) would not be there until the morning. Upon checking out the next morning, we kindly asked the manager for a DISCOUNT and explained to him that we would not have booked a hotel at all (let alone for $250 for one night) had we known the hot tub would be closed. He said "Unfortunately not. It's an event weekend". Apparently meaning that because they charged everyone double the normal price due to the Michigan game, that it is impossible to provide any discount i.e. charge us a normal, reasonable price for one night considering our situation. This man could have decided to give us a discount and we would have happily walked away and probably even returned due to his courtesy, but instead he decided to keep the extra money that would have put a very small dent in the approximately $31,500 they made in that one night (126 rooms x $250). I will be reporting this to the BBB as you cannot charge (and advertise) for amenities that you are not providing. Side note: when I asked the manager why we couldn't have been notified of the hot tub closure beforehand, he said "Well actually it was an emergency. You know what, the pump exploded on Friday". Which means we "couldn't" have been notified on Friday (while we still had free-cancellation) or during check-in at the very least, OR have been offered a discount or refund. Small tip: maybe keep an extra hot tub pump on-hand so you don't have to close the hot tub for six days. Aside from this huge disappointment, the hotel was very outdated, there were stains all over the lamp shades in the room, the TV was maybe a 40-inch, and the free breakfast was barely edible (not to mention breakfast area was about 5 times too small to have 100+ people trying to serve themselves breakfast). We will not be returning here ever, and we frequent Ann Arbor hotels several times/year.

We were passing through Ann Arbor and needed a place to stay along the way. We chose this hotel and were delightfully surprised at how absolutely wonderful it was. It was clean, cozy and quiet and such a beautiful place to stay we wished we could have stayed longer. There were many extras included which we didn’t get to take advantage of, but we hope to come back and in the meantime we highly recommend it.

If I could have given this hotel and more importantly, the staff 100 stars, I would have. My daughter is on a collegiate cheer team and EMU was hosting the NAIA national competition this last weekend. The hotel hosted the kids and coaches on the team plus all of the families traveling in from Missouri. First, Kathy and the entire staff were amazing. We were all on a first name basis when we left. From making sure we had what we needed and the space to make it happen to accommodating last minute rooms as their bus broke down and they had to stay an extra day. Everyone was so much fun. Every interaction with staff was positive and sweet. The rooms were clean and my son loved the pool and shuffleboard table! I’m just glad we found you all! Thanks for making our stay so much fun!

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Each staff member was friendly and inviting. The ladies that ran the breakfast buffet did a great job trying to keep up with the football crowd. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, various cereals, fruit and yogurt. Bagels, waffles and condiments. Coffee wasn't great but that's ok. There is a pool table, Foosball and shuffleboard table upstairs to use as well. There are also 2 big tables for playing checkers. My son and I used this quite often. The pool area is very nice and clean, not a typical large hotel pool. My biggest issue are the beds and hotel in general. For over 200 a night I would expect my bed to be way nicer then a lumpy mattress. If you have back issues you should bring a mattress topper. There are also no real blankets on the beds anymore. Just 2 flat sheets and a basic throw blanket in between. Hotel decor was basic and felt outdated. Carpet needs to be updated as well. Overall it's an OK hotel but the STAFF deserve a raise!!

Stayed one night during mediation visit. The room was clean and looked recently redecorated. The pool and hot tub area looked nice and clean, though we did not use. The work out room had 2 treadmills, a bike and an elliptical: all of which were... useable but entry level/old. The work out room was HOT and small, mentioned the temp to the front desk, so hopefully that will be adjusted. Breakfast was free with a variety of selection. Had to ask for decaf coffee, the attendant was friendly and immediately offered to make some, but she never brought it out. Plenty of parking during our midweek stay. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is very clean and tidy. The staff is nice and accommodating. Highly recommend stay here if your in the area. Beds are comfy. A lot of things to do at the hotel like shuffleboard, pool table, nice sitting areas through the hotel, pool and hot tub. We enjoyed our stay.

The rooms were not clean and were out of date. Caroline was very rude all around. She had offered my daughter chocolate-covered strawberries stating a guest they were for had canceled then once she had realized she had made a mistake quickly took them back very unhygienic. Our reservations we made earlier in the day and we watched several other guests get the card to their room while we had to wait in the lobby for over an hr and a half. Just based on Caroline alone I would never recommend anyone staying at this location.

Michelle was a life saver when we were looking for a last minute room for our daughters appointment at the U of M Cancer Center when our previous hotel fell threw. The hotel was beautiful, staff incredibly helpful and friendly and the shuttle server is such an added bonus!!! As soon as we find out her surgery date, we will be back!!! Thank you for making taking some of the stress off of a stressful situation.

We just check out and I give this hotel an A+ 5 star rating! Top of my priorities are cleanliness and this hotel was spotless everywhere I looked. Bed was comfortable, pool and hot tub were clean and the atmosphere was top notch. I didn’t get the clerks name when we checked in but he was phenomenal. The free buffet breakfast hot, delicious and very satisfying. Highly recommend!

The hotel is far from the city center, but it is very easy to reach by bus number 4. There is a very nice shopping center close to the hotel. You can find everything you are looking for around the hotel. You will be very pleased with your stay at the hotel. It's nice that the staff is smiling. In addition, the hotel works in terms of sustainability, I thank the hotel management and wish success to the employees.

Great rooms. Amazing service. Super family friendly. Excellent price. Hot tub. Breakfast included. Game room. Pool. Comfortable. Quiet. Courtyards. Probably the best family friend hotel in the area.

The room had a smell to it but I brought my own febreeze. The air conditioner ran so loud I kept waking up, when I got up to get dressed there was a large ugly bug on the bed. The chair in the room needing to be redone or thrown away. The front desk service was okay she offered alot amenities the the place had. I'll never go back or refer anyone 😠👎😳.

This was our first experience at Ann Arbor’s Regent Hotel and Suites on Carpenter Road. But we had an absolutely excellent stay. The front desk went above and beyond to check us in early when we arrived in a very hot day 90 minutes early so that we didn’t have to wait in our cars in the parking lot. And we loved the soft down-filled pillows with cotton pillow cases, and cotton bed sheets. The bathrooms were very clean with lots of fluffy cotton towels. We used the fitness center that had all the basics for a good workout including treadmill where we put in a gentle few miles, stationary bikes, weight machines, cold water machine, more fluffy cotton towels. And we loved the free breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage links, great coffee, tossed bagels, cereal, yogurt, and oatmeal. And we loved the proximity to restaurants for our other meals, including Red Lobster right across the street where we could pre-order and use their curbside pickup for great shrimp and lobster tacos, and similarly for Japanese food at “Yotsuba” just down the street for pick up and dining in our plush rooms. We will definitely stay again!! 👍👍👍👍👍

Clean room; comfy bed; top-notch location that’s both super close to downtown Ann Arbor/UMich, and to stores and shops like Kroger and Old Navy; and impeccable customer service! Really polite staff both at the front desk and everywhere else in the building. Family-friendly for those who are traveling with kids. Thank you for the great stay!! I removed one star for one reason: The fitness center / gym has a very old piece of weight lifting equipment that honestly felt like it’d fall apart and collapse on me lol. It didn’t feel safe at all. Literally quaking on the 30lb setting. Highly recommend switching it for a dumbbell rack, two benches, and a mat. That covers just about any workout anyone might want

Fantastic clean rooms, great service people and a nice breakfast before departure. I would stay here again without hesitation. Stayed 19/20 of august 2023.

Full size parking spaces, great staff - friendly, helpful; clean rooms - nice looking hotel - stayed 6 days, a week later - staying another night due to staff. Michelle was a big help when I first reached out. And again - 3rd visit within couple of weeks - still great !! Thank you!!

Good experience and we have been @ this location before. The new item is the undisclosed incendtial charge @ check-in. This is new and it is not disclosed when making reservations nor is it on their website. This hotel has amenities and looks good cosmetically, but this is a 3-star hotel with a high price tag. Every hotel could use updating and The Regents is most certainly due. The hotel is privately owned and if the king room is $300 per night and in November it is $600 per night, the level of expectation is high. I usually stay @ the Best Western Hotel chain, and it is comparable to their rooms but not for $300 per night. We go for the football games, and they absolutely take advantage of that.

Knowledgeable & friendly staff, very clean property, good breakfast & coffee, and a bus stop for the U of M shuttle! 👏 And--Red Lobster is just across the road for a restaurant option!

Amazing staff I accidentally left my bathing suit and had to call and ask the hotel if it was found in my room a d could they please ship it to me. The staff was excellent. They found my suit and had it fed exed the next day. The room itself was very comfortable and inviting. The locations was perfect and the amenities were exceptional.

This place is amazing, great pool/hot tub area. Friendly staff, amazing billiards and games room. The location puts you by all kinds of great food, river views, music, just a wonderful atmosphere and this place puts you right there. They set the tone for the whole weekend off when Marwan checked us in with a positive attitude and we will be back!

We stayed here for one night, for a track meet. It advertised as a suite but the room was not a suite. That said, it was a lovely spot. Staff were very friendly, hotel room was clean with new faucets and such. Loved the bath and body works cream, little dove soap and Scope to give us the conveniences of home. We would stay here again!

I stayed here for three days during an ice storm. The hotel was sold out. Every employee was kind and helpful. I would especially like to thank the breakfast attendants. While the space is very small, they worked diligently to keep items stocked and were helpful and polite while doing so. Very impressed.

It was a beautiful place. Room was a little outdated but that didn’t bother us. I do not recommend the pull out beds. Very old and wore out. Hotel has a resort style set up. The breakfast area is way too small. I have an electric wheelchair, I could get in and out of there as long as no one was there. I had to rely on family for breakfast because it was very crowded. and even when my mom tried to get breakfast both mornings, all she got was a muffin and banana. $199 a night is a little pricy for just a muffin and banana. ONE POSITIVE THING THAT I LOVED IS STAFF LEFT YOU ALONE! I hate being bothered. Call me a grinch 😆

Came for a gameday weekend. Overall a pretty decent option for the experience. Best perk by far was the gameday shuttle to the big house for $1.50 that drops you off right in front of the stadium. The hotel staff is very friendly and the location is pretty good ($15-$20 ride shares into downtown/campus). The room itself is a bit dated, feels very late 80s/90s decor-wise. Bed doesn't have the comfiest sheets. But it is clean and has modern TVs and excellent internet.

Great staff, nice rooms, free breakfast. Clean. Pool on the small side, tiny gym area, hot tub was out of order. For our purposes (Michigan game) the hotel was great.

  • 3/5 Majda 1 year ago on Google
The hotel was pleasant in general but needs to fix few things to improve. The bed was not very comfortable and there was no duvet just a very thin blanket which was not enough to keep us warm. The breakfast is very repetitive with very limited choices so after few days you can’t eat it anymore. Cleaning is only happening every second day. When asked to grant late check out they only accepted to extend it 2hours even if the hotel was not full.

Very nice hotel and was very convenient by our wedding avenue! Most of our family and bridal party stayed here or close by and it was easy to get to the venue to get ready! I would come back here on just a random weekend to getaway as well!

Especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub! Beautiful serenity garden/gazebo as well. Unfortunately the beds weren't comfortable. We hope those mattresses are updated as we enjoyed everything else about the Regent.

Over the last 20 years I have stayed in numerous hotels around Ann Arbor. The Ann Arbor Regent has been the best we have stayed at. It is super clean, renovated nicely and has a wonderful pool and spa area. The staff is so polite and accommodating and the ladies that clean the rooms are thorough and so very nice. I wish we could give the Ann Arbor Regent 10 stars. Thank you for making our stay a pleasant one. We will be back. I also want to offer a shout out to Michelle at the front desk. She was so pleasant from the moment we walked through the door and she welcomed us so warmly!

Nice family orientated hotel. They have a nice pool and jacuzzi, a game room with billiards and shuffleboard. Went on the weekend so it was really busy. But clean rooms comfortable beds and close to the funs happening in A2 (:

I love the place. I stayed there for about a day and it was wonderful. The average room has a tv, 2 beds, a bathroom (with a shower), and a cooler. Very pleased with the experience. I also hope to see their rose garden grow to be a beautiful garden.

Clean, quiet room. Hotel has pool, cold breakfast selection, close to US23, nice jacuzzi tub, mini fridge and microwave. I rated it 4 stars because it has more in room amenities than some higher ranked hotels I've stayed at such as the Palazzo in Vegas which doesn't even have a fridge or microwave. It's not a bad hotel and it'll get the job done! I stayed for valentine's day.

  • 5/5 Sarah S. 2 years ago on Google
Staff was very accommodating, let me check in early and check out late- 2pm, so my son could swim more. The pool is a great size and so is the hot tub! I absolutely loved our Jacuzzi tub in our room as well. Fridge and microwaves also a nice touch!! Will return!!!

My husband and I stayed Jan 16, 2024 and really enjoyed our stay. Staff was wonderful, upbeat, friendly and courteous. Our room was clean and offered several things to make our stay easy. Our room overlooked a beautiful courtyard. If you stay here, you could spend the whole time here and we might just do that next time. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Staff does a great job keeping it clean and stocked with towels. Breakfast was great, lots to choose from. We will stay again. Planning on visiting Ann Arbor more
