I am so sorry to be saying this but this was possibly the worst and most unappetizing Mexican food we have eaten in the entire country and for SoCal...i.dont even want to say anything. Flavor less burritos. Meat not too fresh and tough, watery sauce and so bad that despite adding Trader Joes sauce and Jalepenos it was inedible. It really hurt to have spent 32$ for 2 burritos. How do they even have 4 1/2 stars ? I apologize but it was too disappointing to not mention anything.

Had the albóndigas: too greasy and too much oregano. Asked for a chile relleno. It was submerged in some broth and it was nowhere to fine. Only the cheese 🧀 n sight. Not buying from here anymore. And this was my first time.

Esther’s has been around a long time. I always order ala carte. Hard shell tacos are really good. Servers are always friendly. Edit: I often eat in the bar area. My last visit was so uncomfortable. I guess the bar maid and the only other customer on the place must be dating. Totally inappropriate for the workplace. Awkward.

This place was very busy on a Friday night. In my opinion, the food had a lot of potential to be good but everything had wayyy too much salt. I'm not one to usually notice salt in foods, but wow. When you're eating the both the beans and rice, it's hard not too notice.

Did not bring much of an appetite with me when I had come here for the first time. The flautas were fluffy and crispy; flavored very well. Happy Hour is a must here if you’re nearby.

Mexican food?, I don't think so, Del taco has better food than them, I can't even describe their food. Too expensive for flavorless and less appetizing food. Just to look at what we ordered, I lost my appetite. That's not Mexican food!!! The chips smelled and tasted like rancid oil, the salsa, what the heck, just blended tomatoes, no onion, cilantro, chiles. They don't have a clue on food.

Good food great atmosphere. Only place right over one taco is enough. Usually, I like nine ormore. But I've been trying to watch my weight. My mom says I'm getting chubby. I think I'm going to put her in a home.

I used to be a fan of this place but not anymore. Service has changed, now they charge you for chips and salsa. So sad!! The food is still good but way over priced, even lunch prices are too high. Not sure if you’ll get value of food and service for your hard earned bucks.

First time there... I was hungry and thought I would try a new spot on my way home. I needed to wash my hands, so I used their restroom. The water smelled funny as if sewer issues, and I could not get the smell out of my head, so needless to say, lunch was not so good. Maybe I'll give it some time to get fixed and try it again at a later date.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican delicious food, this is the place! Personally, I love ground beef. Esters makes a wet G.B. burrito that is delicious and MASSIVE! Their prices don't gouge! I can make 3 meals out of 1 burrito !

Very welcoming staff and atmosphere. Service is lightning fast and all the servers come around topping off your drinks before you get a chance to ask for a refill. The food is savory and made for a perfect lunch date with my wife.

I had the pleasure of dining at Esther's Taco in Placentia, CA, and I must say that their chicken tacos are absolutely outstanding. These tacos are so delectable that my husband and I traveled all the way from San Diego just to savor their remarkable flavors. Whenever we find ourselves in the LA area, stopping by Esther's Taco has become a delightful tradition. The chicken tacos are truly a cut above the rest, and I especially appreciate the way the addition of the yellow chili pepper elevates the dish to new heights. The combination of flavors is simply exquisite. If you're a taco aficionado like us, Esther's Taco is an absolute must-visit destination.

Don’t order fajitas. fajitas were served on a regular plate with very few vegetables and not sizzling hot. Meat was dry and the beans were crusted on the edges. Only came with two tortillas that were not fresh either. Better stick to-the tacos. Price was wrong on the ticket according to the menu but waitress would not readjust it.

I love Esthers! I discover them over the past year and I am in love. You would be hard pressed to find better tacos in all of Orange County, they have a Variety of great Mexican food that will bring you back for more.

Some of the best Mexican food you'll find. Everything is amazing, and if you want to watch a game there are multiple TVs in the bar. Sometimes the service is eh, sometimes it's great.

Really wanted to like this place and thought it would be good because its pretty busy. However the food was so bland needs seasoning had no flavor. And to not give chips with your order that just not good. Ibambin food service somethings you cant stop doing its cost of business. However the customer service was great young lady was friendly and genuine.

I highly recommend the chicken salad! One of THE BEST I've EVER had! This salad has SO much deliciously seasoned chicken, along with the fresh veggies, both times I've had it, I took nearly 1/2 of it home!

We have been going to Esther's for about 4 years. It's not our favorite Mexican food restaurant but it's not bad by any means. They definitely have their own unique style of food. The tortilla chips are thicker than most places and they always serve two types of salsa with them. The service is good and the staff is friendly. The prices are reasonable.

Esther's is the local Taco and drinks place. I had a chicken taco combination. The taco was good, and the chicken was plentiful. The rice was dry and the beans didn't have much taste, but overall it was filling. I can't say the bathrooms were the cleanest, but it wasn't bad. The atmosphere is casual and inviting. Kinda on the pricey side for the items served though (almost $5 for an iced tea). Plus they charge for chips and salsa.
