One of the newer metro parks. Very well maintained. Most of the trails are paved and go through woods, prairie and playground. This is a decent size park that offers a lot. It has playground equipment, shelter houses, 2 dog parks, permanent restrooms and plenty of parking.

We already contacted the park 3 times about poison hemlock growing in their park. Nothing has been done about it. Poison hemlock is one of the most dangerous plants on earth. It’s a deadly plant! The flowers grow all over the place and are extremely close to the pathway. They haven’t even put up a sign yet to at least say CAUTION: don’t touch the plants (poisonous). I think that’s not okay because there are many people out there who do not know the plant and many children. And some dogs that are on a long leash who might try to eat the plant. It’s just simply not okay to not even put a sign up there. Another thing we noticed is the dog park is closed so many times for absolutely no reason. It’s the perfect weather out and the dog park is closed. It makes no sense at all. I would have loved to give 5 stars but these major things are just simply not okay. I still love walking my dogs there because it is a really beautiful park with lots of wildlife to see and amazing for birdwatchers but a trash can or more benches here and there would be great, too. There’s definitely room for improvement!

I had a good time visiting this park. There is a nice 1.25 mi paved trail that travels through woods and meadows and there are many bridle trails and dog parks. There’s a cool playground with boulders to climb- there’s something for everyone here! The covered shelter has beautiful wooden chairs overlooking a peaceful meadow.

Beautiful park. There's a large shelter all the way at the back of the park complete with a fireplace, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs and electric. The park also has 2 dog parks, a playground and trails. Nice clean restrooms are nearby the shelter and dog parks.

Do not take your dogs to the dog park here. While it may be nice and open, there are many regulars there who let their dogs attack other dogs and think they are in charge of the park because they go there more than other people. There are much nicer dog parks around central Ohio that you can go to. You will be bullied here by the regulars.

Nice clean park. Walking trails, a pet only trail, dog park, and kids park. We saw a cardinal today. It was a nice flash of color on all the sleeping winter plants.

I love that park, even in my trip to Miami from California, I always stop there for my dog time. Dogs are very friendly, people are good and the Rangers very friendly too. The dog park is big and good facilities. There are trails where the dogs can walk unleash ( if they are good behavior). I love that park one of my favorites.

The main dog parks (big/small dogs) are well maintained. When there's inclement weather they close the front dog parks and utilize one further down the park road. There's also an off leash dog trail. Nice bathrooms. The main walking/running/biking trails are good too and they connect to Bevelhymer Park.

Great dog park. Pros: Easy (flat) access; water feature; shade pavilion; divided for small and large dogs; restrooms and picnic pavilion adjacent. Cons: People allowing dogs over 20 lbs in small dog area (a 40 lb puppy is still a large dog!)

I ran across this park by happy accident! It has a very nice fenced in dog park that is well taken care of with benches and shelters inside. What I thought was most cool was a wooded off leash path that allows the dogs to run and explore in safety. I haven't taken my dogs yet, but I'm sure it will be one of their new favorite places! Since it's a new park, there are no shade trees on the walking paths or around the parking lots and shelter houses, which made it very bright and hot on the day I went. Once the new trees get bigger, I'm sure that the park will be just about perfect!

This is a great park to visit if you want to do a nice, paved loop walk. It is quiet and peaceful. It also holds a special place in my heart now because I found my first Metro Parks Winter Hike ornament here. Thanks!

Great outdoor walking and birding experience. The main trail is paved with a meadow walk on grass. Clean bathrooms. I will keep coming back.

Rainy weather, main park areas closed for dogs. Two trails for walking dogs, small off leash area in center of the park. Larger and longer trails for walking on leash. Well maintained park.

Three different trails at least, one of them is pet friendly (1.25 miles). There's also two dog parks right next to one another, one for large and one for small breeds. No trash bins anywhere however, so be prepared to take your garbage with you.

My dog has a fun time running & playing with his buddies & generally the rangers are friendly, but the car break-ins are concerning. I know that unfortunately crime is everywhere, but it's hard to enjoy time outside with your pet when you have to keep checking the parking lot. I asked one of the rangers about cameras or some sort of deterrent, but he said there are no plans for anything.

This is a great spot with paved trails that are dog friendly. There's also a mile preserve loop if you're there without the pooch! Highly recommended spot!!

One of the best! There's an off-leash dog trail that I think is not paved, but we've only been on the paved trail with leashed dogs. It's nice and clean and even after a heavy rain there aren't puddles to dodge. They take care of this park really well. The dog park is well kept too. Bathrooms are clean!

Nice, smallish dog park. Closed in winter 🤔? Short (.3 mi.) offleash trail. Great for short exercise for my 3 Goldens, smaller dogs would probably be happier, especially if company arrives and it fills the park.

A nice Metro park at the edge of New Albany. It is better known as a dog park around here. It has two large dog areas with the front main area being divided into large and small dog areas. Dogs may get a little wet in this area in the summer months with the water features. The back more rustic dog play area will leave dogs dirty and muddy just how many dogs like it. Wear boots or shoes that can get muddy after and inclement weather. The play area is not as fancy as many other parks but it keeps the kids happy. The park has abundant walking trails and many frogs can be heard calling in the spring in the various wetland areas. Various birds and inects can be found throughout the park in the grassy areas.

I've been on the trails before but lately its all about the dog park for my husky. He loves this place.

This is a completely fenced in dog park with separate areas for smaller and larger dogs, My dog had a wonderful time here. There is also a bathroom nearby for humans to use also.

Landscape structures rope course for ages 5-12. One slide and swing sets for kids of all ages. Not a lot of conventional play areas for kids but this is a Metro Park. Beautiful views, mixed use trails, dog parks make this a great places for the whole family.

Love this park! Great paved path wide enough for two strollers and you won’t get run off the path when a bike passes. Love the two mommy and me swings! One for a baby that can sit up and one for an infant who can’t sit up yet!

👍👍 This park is probably the best place in the county to hike. Abundant trees, beautiful landscapes and creek. The outer trail is quite rigorous- well-suited for experienced hikers. It's a good place to embrace nature and exercise and even socialize, bring your friends or family. I would recommend this...

😐 I guess it would get a better score if I was a bird hunter but it is literally just a huge grass field that is hard to walk through and only a few islands of trees here and there. This is a creek with some trees around but less than desirable for a deer hunter. I did see one deer while I was there b...

👍👍 What a great find in Ohio! Lots of great variety. We stopped on a holiday trip and we're served by one of the owners. Great place and decorated for the holidays and they had a warming fireplace going on the day we were there! Definitely worth the visit ! :)
