My husband and I spent 6 nights here and thought it was delightful. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the location made it easy to get around Munich using public transportation. Our only suggestion would be to offer a different selection of pillows. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The studios are perfect, loved the rainfall shower head, I had a third floor interior courtyard view, so that a nice bonus for a view. The building is super clean, quiet during my stay, (Opening for Oktoberfest first week). You are so close to the Fair grounds for Oktoberfest, and about a 10 minute walk to marienplatz, at least for me, public transit is close and simple. Munich and the area around Schwan Locke is unbelievably safe and nice restaurants close by. I highly recommend to stay here for your stay. Only con, no AC. So either open the window, bring a fan, or don't use the blanket.

So a bit torn, on the one hand the rooms are beautiful but on the other we where ultimately disappointed with our stay. Especially as the price was on the slightly higher end of what we wanted to pay and as such we expected a great experience. But unfortunately it wasn’t so. The major problem in our room is the shower is designed in such a way that the whole bathroom will be covered in water and the water will spill out into the bed room. Then as this was happening I noticed there is no way to call reception as no phones in the rooms. Also there is an access door next to our room every time it banged it woke us up… again some poor practical design choices that unfortunately bring the experience down and score. My girlfriend was especially unhappy with the bathroom which is understandable. On the good. The location is great 10-15 mins walk to everything.. the staff were also kind. I just wish they can fix these issues as for the price I paid, we expected more. If it’s possible to get a room with a fixed shower, not closed to hanging doors. With a phone in the room… it’s worth to book this place. Especially decor of the room very nice.

We stay 1 night at Schwan Locke good location near public transport. If you stay during Oktoberfest rooms are highly high demand and prices will increase. You can make some food in the room because they offer the perfect kitchen. I can't find the air conditioner or any ventilator but you can open the window, unfortunately, our room is in the basement if we open it unsafe and noise from people walking outside.

Me and my partner stayed for 4 nights in Schwan Locke. We arrived early and were checked in by Rui. He was lovely and very accommodating! We had our own mini apartment which was also great. All the staff were lovely. Thank you!

Hotel is beautiful. The ability to communicate with staff 24/7 via WhatsApp is amazing! We got everything we needed right away. Comfortable bed. Nice furniture and kitchen amenities. What would make it a 10/10 for us: new pillows - our pillows felt like lumpy mashed potato and on such a comfy bed, easy fix that'd really elevate the experience. Also only 1 balcony chair for 2 guests :) and only 2 packet of coffee for 3 nights. The TV is meant to swivel around but we didn't have enough room with the other furniture which could be an easy fix for full functionality. Nice to have a hood vent, tea towel, and smart tv in the room. Amazing rainfall shower and great water pressure and nice spa products. The area around the train station can be sketchy and don't recommend walking around alone at night. About 25 min walk to old town. Not bad for central Munich! Would stay again. Service was lovely and friendly with good English.

Schwan Locke is located in Oktoberfest central: Theresienwiese. I can imagine it and all the surrounding hotels becoming extremely expensive during Oktoberfest and Christmas Market times but we happened to visit in the sweet spot in between those two. As a result, it was a pretty affordable and quiet stay. Schwan Locke is conveniently located to U-Bahn and walkable to Munich's central train station, making it extremely easy to get around anywhere. It's an apartment/hotel hybrid. The main advantage of that is the very sizeable suite you get for the same price you would pay for a tiny hotel room elsewhere. And despite the apartment style, they still have 24/7 concierge services. The other side of that is that there is only weekly cleaning services, which honestly is not really an issue for travellers that are spending most of their time outside of the hotel anyway. The rooms themselves, aside from being large, were very nice! They come with a small kitchen area with stove top included for cooking. There is a nice sitting area with TV, and a sizeable bathroom. The bed was quite comfy and everything was clean. I can definitely see someone being a long-term tenant in one of these suites. Staff were very helpful and friendly! They gave us great recommendations, directions, and even helped us with late check-out when we needed it. Overall a very pleasant short stay and wouldn't mind staying here again if I was ever back in Munich.

Great experience! We stayed at this location for 5 days, in a room on the fourth floor (a City Studio). Mostly we picked this hotel because of the small kitchen and excellent location to the 4/5 trains (literally down the block), and at least 25min walking to Marienplatz or the Hauptbahnhof. The communal spaces and coffee shop were great places to hang out or use as a meeting point before going sightseeing. Since the reception is 24/7, we were greeted by Tonia (daytime host) and interacted a lot with Dejan (late-night host). They were both very welcoming, helpful, and we got all of our questions answered. We also liked that we could send messages and calls through WhatsApp which made it a lot easier for us when we had questions. The room was a beautiful studio apartment with very modern and trendy furniture. It was nice to be able to relax on the balcony and hear the church bells throughout the day. We were also surprised by the size of the fridge and we enjoyed having a microwave oven. It was also a plus that there was a small gym and free laundry to use. Overall we would book here again when we next visit Munich! We enjoyed our experience and we’re open to staying at Locke’s other locations within Europe.

Chic, clean and modern - truly a great value stay! Fitted with a rain shower, smart TV features, complimentary drip coffee bags and an impressive and modern in-hotel cafe and a even good location to nearby turkish eateries, grocery stores and the underground station. Our only minor complain is the somewhat subpar drainage in the toilet, expect the whole toilet to be wet after a shower.

We enjoyed the room, however we were told house keeping would not come in during our stay because it is an Aparthotel which was great. However, we discovered maintenance or someone had come into our room without any notice to fix a loose screw. It would have been good to receive a heads up as we found a loose broken screw in our bag. It would have been nice to know. Other than that it was a good stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE. My wife and I stayed here with our children for two nights in December. We selected this apartment-hotel because the photos made it seem well-designed and the location appeared convenient for journeys into the aldstadt. However, this is hotel catfishing at its finest. The worst part of our stay was that the hotel offers laundry facilities for guests, but the Miele dual wash/dry units were all operative but broken. The hotel staff failed to notify guests that the drying function does not work at all. We washed two small loads of laundry, which should have been washed/dried in about 2 hours and 45 minutes. I went down to check them and found them to be completely wet. I figured it was human error, so separated them and placed them in four separate machines to run the “dry-only setting” but the clothes never became dry. I went downstairs to ask help from the staff whom were in the midst of a party at the bar, when I finally got their attention they turned asked their maintenance manager about the issue. He explained that all of the units were not working so there appears to be a total lack of communication within management and administration. I decided to ask for hangers to air dry all of the clothes which also took quite a bit of time because the staff were throwing a holiday party downstairs. Our rooms were so hot we had to request fans, which made it better but not great. The rooms were also completely falling apart, as others have stated in the reviews, which we did not read ahead of time. The shelving, pictures, sofa and chair were damaged, the counters were stained. Also, the bathroom was a complete mess, towel hooks ripped off the door, showers were poorly designed and leaked water all over the floor and the sink was clogged and leaking. What makes stressful situations like this better is exemplary customer service; they did not provide that either and in fact seemed to resist the tenants of working in hospitality. They did not take any responsibility and seem to blame guests for the poor experience.

Great location not far from the city centre and central station. The rooms are like mini-apartments with very cute kitchen and lounge area. Staff is super friendly and fun, definitely enjoyed my check-in experience 😁
