We have only tried this place for breakfast!!! Great little cafe in Plano. Excellent service, their entire staff will check on you frequently to make sure you have all you need. I had the RedTruck Breakfast and my husband had the corn beef hash. Food comes out quickly and is consistently delicious. They were spot on with my extra crispy hash brown. Their biscuit is light and fluffy. Good Food, Good service is always a win for me!

Came here for a birthday breakfast for the wife. It was the wife, me, and our kids (toddler and infant). It was a great experience to say the least. First, the staff was just superb. The nice lady welcomed us in and got us settled in with our kids. Then a gentleman walked over and gave us our beverage options and took our order. He was patient with all our questions. Second, the food itself was delicious. Every single item we had ordered did not disappoint (from the French toast, pancakes, salmon, to even the sides). We initially thought we had ordered a bit too much but it was all so yummy we just ran through it lol. All in all, a great experience. We'll be back for our next breakfast sooner than later!

Cleanest cafe I have been to. The bathrooms are spotless. The food was excellent, eggs Benedict with thick Canadian bacon. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Great breakfast with large quantity for the asking price. All 3 dishes I got rounded about $11-12 each, which is totally reasonable with all that they give. Got: Red Truck Scramble, Chicken Fajita Omelet, and Red Truck FM Skillet. In my opinion the bests were the red truck scramble and red truck FM Skillet however the chicken fajita omelet was also good just slightly bland and I was expecting a bigger size than what we got. The biscuit was nice and fluffy and not dry. The English muffin was nice and crispy. The pancake was fluffy and soft. I would totally come back to try their other foods! The workers/servers were super nice and accommodating right away.

The prices were good, food was great and the service was wonderful. The restaurant was clean and smell good. I will be going back. I order a cup of gumbo, and the Tuesday special which was beef tips on top of noodles, with two sides. I had fried okra and greens, with a dinner roll.

Red truck cafe’s meatloaf Monday special was pretty good. I had received amazing service from my server Tim who helped me with my questions and recommendations. I really liked the flavor of the meatloaf (with brown gravy) and sautéed mushrooms. The jalapeño cornbread was light and moist with a hint of jalapeño flavor. Plus you can never go wrong with a classic mashed potatoes and corn. I heard the chicken fried steak is a must try. Definitely going to give it a try the next time I come back.

What a delight! Stopped for lunch and started with the best cup of gumbo I think I've ever had! Mom had the shrimp and scallop special which was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I had the patty melt which was delicious but a bit dry. The onion rings were marvelous! Limited but adequate beer/wine menu - you can't often find beer and wine at a cafe. I can't wait to come back and try the breakfast menu!

I came to this place because it had good reviews. The food was decent, but the service I must say was quite lacking. The waitress was nice, but I never got my tea refilled one time, nor did I get the bread that is supposed to come with my entree. And most every time you let waitstaff know about something that is missing, you're almost done eating by the time they realize what you said was missing 20 minutes ago. Before I even ordered, I was wanting to try their onion rings that I heard so much about, only to discover that if you want to substitute a side for some onion rings, there is a SIX DOLLAR CHARGE to do so--and that's only for a HALF order. Thinking this was quite exorbitant, I informed the manager about it and he agreed when I told him the onion rings should be offered as a normal side with possibly a $1 charge to upgrade. That sounded reasonable. So he offered to give me some onion rings for free when my meal came out. Well, they never came. I informed the waitress of what the manager had told me and she said "I'll go check but our kitchen is really slammed right now." So right then I knew I wasn't going to get my onion rings. So we got up to pay, and while we were standing in line at the register, the manager looked me straight in the eye and didn't acknowledge me or offer any words of apology as the situation would call for. Then on top of that, when I asked the cashier if they offered a veterans discount, he had to ask the manager (The same one who neglected to give me my onion rings after offering to do so) if they offered such a discount and the manager told him no. And he's standing right in front of us knowing that he promised us something and didn't deliver it, and still no discount. Needless to say I will never return to this place again.

We had a large group of people and they were more than accommodating. They got our food out to us quickly and all at the same time so no one was waiting. They were SO SO friendly too. I’d definitely go back if they weren’t so far away from me (90 minutes). Thank you Red Truck Cafe! You made our event so much fun and memorable ❤️

Went there the first time a couple of months because my wife wanted turkey & dressing, which they have on Wednesdays. I ordered the liver & onions. The food was good, the service was exceptional. We went back last Saturday afternoon to try more staple dishes and were very disappointed. Wife tried the chicken fried steak and I tried the fried catfish. It was obvious that both were Food Service supplied and not hand prepared there! It was terrible CFS that was compressed to about 1/4" thick and some odd seasoning I did not recognize. The fish was NOT catfish! It was some kind of cod with filler like cheap fish sticks and did not have typical southern corn meal batter. The sides were good, but again, except for my salad, nothing was from scratch. It was a long way to drive for sub-standard food, so we won't go back!
