If I could give this place zero stars, I would. If you're going to have chaat in your name then your chaat better be good. I got dahi puri which was the blandest I've ever had. It was filled with sweet yogurt and nothing else. No spices on top. No cilantro. I also got the ragda Pattie's and again, no toppings. I asked if they could give at least give me sev on top and they refused. I even said I'd pay for it. The lady at the front said they don't do that. I finally got upset and they gave me a little. I agree with a previous review that if don’t like being in the restaurant business do something else. IF YOU LIKE CHAAT, don't come here. Huge fail!

Liked the South Indian dishes here - dosa is good and freshly made. The idli require improvement as the quality is not that good. They offer sambar, chutney along with food. The menu price is very reasonable and offer great variety. The sitting area is clean and bathroom is also well maintained. Ample of parking outside and it has a children play area (owned by Montessori but often open for play) beside which is well lit at night also. The staff is courteous. One request to owner - please keep the restaurant open till 10PM at least. 9PM during summer is very early to close and many times we couldn’t even reach there before close 😒

I though about giving this place 4 stars but after typing much of this in I just had to bump it up. They really did do a good job. This place was recommended by to us so we though we had to check it out. I was a little disappointed in the quality once we got it home for a couple of the items but that's probably because it took so long to get it home. In particular the masala dosa and the dahi puri. The flavor was excellent but they would be so much better if eaten at the restaurant. Some things just don't travel well. On the other hand the eggplant curry and chana masala were great. Also the portions were good. You order by the ounce on some things. We ordered all 8oz. Plenty to share for 3 people in my opinion for under $20. Parking was easy but even once people get to going back to places en masse you should be fine. I had a hard time understanding the person taking my order but that's on me. They were super friendly and patient with me. We will be returning and possibly either eating in once it's safer or taking it somewhere close to eat.

Listen. If you love Indian food you need to eat here! I tried it for the first time today. The onions samosas are incredible. Perfectly crispy. Super hot coming fresh out of the kitchen. I also ordered the Chapati with Channa.( At least I think I did honestly I can't remember.) But I'M NOT EVEN MAD THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME RIGHT NOW BECAUSE IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!! I've seen this bread on TikTok and I've always wanted to try it and I got to do that for the first time. Super good! The curry was so spicy and my nose is running 😂😂😂 That's how you know it's perfect. I will definitely be eating here again. I live 11 minutes from this place and this is my new go-to takeout spot. Even the cute guy behind the counter that kept telling me that my order was coming out soon made the experience worth it. If you have not been here before, give them a try. I don't care if you have a favorite Indian place ; they will beat it!!!

Before 2 weeks we went for having chat. The item was good. Today we have ordered Pongal, idly, sweet combo. Instead of Pongal they gave Rava upma. Sambar is also not provided. When picking up, we need to open and check the items before coming out from this restaurant. Nice lesson.

Good to see that this restaurant has maintained the taste and quality of the food. Good place to come to eat north and/or south India snacks and food. Bhel was taste and idli was very soft. They have two varieties of sambar which you have to self-serve. I like the part as I don't have to wait for waiter to bring additional sambar. Place is clean and price is also excellent!!! I recommend that you should try this place if you have never been to this restaurant or visit it again if it has been a while.

Went for lunch, ordered Idly and Pav Baji. They're super good. Liked the concept of chutneys and Sambar available outside. **BEST PRICES** Very reasonable prices and wide variety of Menu. Definitely recommend this place..

Can’t understand the negative reviews because the flavors of their food are delicious. Huge portions and especially love the flavors of their dosas. Must try everything! Will be back to try their packaged desserts and snacks next time. Don’t let the negative reviews steer you away, as it seems people do not understand the poor weather conditions and short staff affecting many restaurants and businesses at this time.

This place had a good review so we thought of exploring, but it wasn’t that good. We order Pakoda/Kanda Bhajiya which was not at all good and wasn’t served hot as well, it didn’t have the bhajiya taste rather it tasted something else, which I cannot explain in words. Then we ordered Spring Dosa and Masala Dosa, out of which Spring Dosa was still good but again Masala Dosa was average and the aloo masala was too less, only the Dosa was crispy and crunchy. There were 2 kinds of Sambar and chutney’s, none of them were good. Ambience was average, and the seating arrangements too. The guy at register seemed confused when we asked him something, and was a bit weird. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place!

Newly opened joint specialized in Idli, Dosa, and Vada. The food is really good and prices are very low in comparison to other restaurants serving similar cuisine. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the best part about this place is the unlimited Chutney and Sambar. The portion size is also great. One should definitely visit this place.

Their lunch Thali for around $10 is a pretty good deal. This is my go to place when I want a quick Indian lunch. They could do better by providing larger cups for water. But from a food standpoint, their thali is best value for the money and best tasting in the area.

Pros: Taste is good. Quantity is good for the money. And very less wait time. Cons: Dosas are not crispy & pongal is very dry. They also need to improve the taste of chaat items. Its not too good.

Update- had to knock off a star because their dahi Puri was absolutely empty. No potatoes, no chana just onions. Disappointed in their response. Otherwise the dosa is tasty !! Can’t go wrong with the price.

Authentic, flavorful and freshly prepared - that’s how food should be served, and we experienced just that in a very soothing, serene, simply calming no frills atmosphere! Kudos to the Chef and the entire team for doing an incredible job!

We catered food from Chat'n'Dosa for a Diwali party and the food was very good and the quantity of food for the price we paid was very good too. And to top it, they also delivered the food to our venue that was over an hour away from the city. Definitely going to come back again for our next catering order.

I recently dined at Chaat n Dosa in Plano and I must say it was a fantastic experience! The restaurant not only lived up to its name but it also exceeded my expectations in terms of taste quality and service. First and foremost the variety of chaat and dosa options on the menu were impressive. They had a wide range of dishes to choose from each with its own unique flavor profile. From classic favorites like bhel puri and pani puri to innovative creations there was something to cater to everyone's taste buds. When it comes to the taste I was blown away by the authenticity and flavors of the dishes. The chaat was perfectly balanced with a delightful blend of sweet savory tangy and spicy elements. The pani puri was crispy and filled with the most delicious and refreshing flavored water. Each dish was skillfully prepared with fresh ingredients and you could tell that attention to detail was given to every bite. The quality of the food was impeccable. The ingredients used were of high quality and the dishes were presented beautifully. It was evident that the chefs took great pride in their craft and ensured that each dish was prepared with utmost care and precision. Moreover the service at Chaat n Dosa was exemplary. The staff was friendly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to assist with any questions or recommendations which added to the overall dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and comfortable. The seating area was spacious and the decor had a modern yet traditional touch. It created a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy the food and spend time with friends and family. One aspect that could be improved upon is the waiting time for the food. On a busy day it took a bit longer than expected for our dishes to arrive. However the quality of the food and the excellent service made up for this minor inconvenience. In conclusion my visit to Chaat n Dosa in Plano was fantastic. The impressive range of chaat and dosa options along with the authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients made it a memorable dining experience. The attentive service and comfortable ambiance further added to the charm of the place. Despite a slightly longer wait time for the food I would highly recommend visiting Chaat n Dosa for a delightful and flavorsome culinary journey

Once we went to this place and noticed davanagere benne dosa being served which is rare find anywhere other then Karnataka . We ordered a pick . Dosa was decent but would call it as more of butter spongy dosa . I think fresh butter is something which gives that distinct taste but that was not the case here. Potato with dosa usually looks bland but taste good because of fresh mirchi adrak tadka provided. That was not the case here. Chutney served was common chutney served with other dosa and not what we get in davangere where there is no concept of sambar. Overall would say dosa was good but not what davangere dosa. Onion samosa was fresh and crispy. Would definitely visit again but not trying davanagere dosa.

Unexpectedly, Chaat N Dosa stands out as a fantastic Indian restaurant, offering a diverse range of South Indian delicacies at affordable rates. In my honest opinion, this establishment surpasses Saravana Bhavan. It's likely not widely known, and locating it might be a bit challenging, but for those seeking delicious Indian cuisine, this place is definitely worth a try.

Good taste and authentic flavored food. Interesting menu choices, including daily specials and best of all fast service... the chiku shake was personally loved by my kids.. 🙂 only improvement I'd like to see could be with the interiors and seating booths maintenance. Otherwise wonderful place to have quick bite with family..

Self-serve restaurant with lots of options! The person at the front was very friendly in helping me order and explaining the menu items. Food was good, serving sizes were good. There was also a side table with sauces, which I liked. Also, it’s all vegetarian.

We recently catered a evening backyard summer party from Chaat N Dosa ! The ordering process was a breeze with Pulla Rao garu, and was super helpful. We asked for Live Dosa with six varieties of dosas being served live by the most friendly staff even at 102 degrees ! Senthil is like a Dosa Ninja and was always serving with a smile. His accomplice also was super courteous in getting the guests with the rest of the food . Along with the dosas we had ordered Roti Pachadi , Veg Hakka Noodles, Jamun Rabadi, Okra Fry, Spinach Dal with Sambar and Chutney ! Every guest enjoyed the food and was super happy with the taste and quality. We couldn’t thank CND team enough for making our event a great success !

The food is good. Great value for money. This is one of the places that has resisted the urge to hike prices astronomically which explains repeat clients like me. I have been eating regularly here for about four years!.. I usually order over the phone and pick up my order. I don't like that they serve some of their piping hot dishes in plastic material but that is a practice most restaurants follow and it keeps health and environment conscious folks from ordering out more. Overall satisfied. I would recommend they clean/paint/touch-up the place like the doors, lighting etc. more. That impacts the ambience and I bet it r duces repeat business.

Low price and good tasty food. We didn’t like tikki chaat but other items were good. Idli was best. Soft and spongy. Overall 4.5 but Google reviews doesn’t allow fraction.

Don’t recommend this place. Especially due to cleanliness and hygiene reasons. Dead cockroach on the floor, dirty corners not best kept premises. I saw the guy through the kitchen door just grab idli with bare hands and sprayed it with water to warm it in microwave. Very disappointed and bit disgusted. Food was ok and found it on the expensive side for the quality and quantity. Chai was good so overall two extra star for that but still would not recommend.

Ordered Parotha and Rava Masala Onion Dosa with my family. While the Parothas were good, the Rawa onion masala dosa was pathetic and bad tasting. The cook butnt the dosas and when I gave feedback to the person at the front desk, it didn't matter to them and that threw me off. I would not suggest ordering Dosa at this place.

If i could give 0 stars i would. This place was so terrible. First there was no AC running. Next they had so many Fans on ceiling but failed to turn any on. Next they did not take our order down properly. Then they made me wait 40 minutes for one of my dosa orders and my entire family was done eating by then. They lied saying that the dosa is coming when they didnt even take the order down properly. Next they failed to give reciepts together because they messed up my order. Finally they failed to pack food properly. My sambar soakef my entire dosa. I would not recommend you to go there. Horrible place. Horrible experience. Dont go there. Oh by the way this restaurant is self service restaurant. Worse place ever. And did you know the audacity of these people. They didnt even say sorry or apologize for auch bad service. They just stared at me and said ok really? Like you should be ashamed of yourself.

Very good vegetarian place for south Indian food. The price is very reasonable compared to any restaurant around and service is amazing. Staff is very helpful and friendly. In addition to placing an order through a staff member there is also an automatic ordering system which saves lot of time, hassle and give you privacy while ordering.
