    Great place for fresh produce and strawberry sundae, shortcake and strawberry milkshakes. This place is packed at Saturdays, so parking is a bit tricky. The plant market has great sitting area with restrooms and goodies market right next. Check the pictures, the diversity of orchids and plants are astounding. Love to see all these kids fighting their parents for one more ice cream or sweet treats...lolz....bring your little ones, they are gonna love it .

    My first time here and it won’t be my last night. We were out on a Tampa Bay Adventure and stumbled across here. I was wondering why everyone was coming out with a pink drink at 9am and now I see why. The best strawberry milkshake I ever had. It was nice to do some produce shopping and not spend $100 bucks. Also had a great mixed cup of boiled peanuts. Some salted and some spicy. It was a perfect pit stop to our next stop. Hoping to come back for the strawberry shortcake.

    A strawberry milkshake awarded Food Network’s “Best Drinkable Dessert” title? I’m on it! It’s $3.00 It’s locally grown strawberries It’s worthy of its own throne Just like the sign reads: Life is short, eat dessert first! Expect: A crowd {on the weekend or during peak season} A line {to patiently wait in due to crowd & peak season listed above} Pros: A reason to drink your dessert A first time experience will become a seasonal tradition {I knew I’d be back after that first sip!}

    The atmosphere is very cute and pleasant and it is so convenient having all of the produce, jams, jelly, plants and home decor all in one place , HOWEVER, I feel like if you are proclaiming yourselves to be “world famous” in the midst of the strawberry capitol, you should probably have amazing strawberry shortcake. The milkshakes are good, the berries and cream are good, the options for healthier drink alternatives in the cooler is amazing and I appreciate that but that cake in the strawberry shortcake is truly awkward. It has the weirdest taste and texture and we just did not cafe gif it , no one finished theirs. The test of the stuff is neat and tasty though. I feel like if you are in that area by all means stop by but you will want to get in early to beat the lines.

    We are from "Up North" and were passing Plant City through on a vacation trip to the warm weather. Someone we bumped into told us that the Parkesdale Farm Market is a MUST GO TO PLACE to enjoy Strawberry shortcake. SO we went....... We have NEVER TASTED STRAWBERRIES WITH SO MUCH FLAVOR !! and don't be afraid of the long lines, these people are able to churn through customer lines at a very rapid pace. And there is plenty of seating outside in a festive atmosphere. Plenty of parking in front and behind. Besides the incredible strawberries, the market also has a huge selection of really healthy fruits and vegetables. We even saw a local restaurateur / cook doing his shopping there! They also have a nice gift shop where you can get the local strawberry jam or strawberry preserves. It's delicious too. So we are thankful that we found out about this place and would highly recommend!

    During our trip to Tampa we visited this farmer’s market based on a recommendation from a Youtube Video. One word: Awesome! After driving about 20 miles from Tampa Downtown, we were amazed to see so many people waiting in line on a weekday afternoon. Pretty much everyone got their Strawberry shortcake and it was magical. I would say go for the one with non dairy and vanilla ice cream toppings. Our son opted for milkshake and it was great as well. Strawberry shortcakes are only available till about first week of April. Boiled peanuts is another gem. We liked both salted and spicy varieties. Recommend visiting them if you are in Tampa.

    Amazing strawberry shortcake and strawberry milkshakes! Don’t fear the long line! The employees move at warp speed and keep everyone moving! The produce is fresh and the plants are priced well. The strawberries themselves - amazing! Ripe and sweet with the best flavor!

    Such a fun outing for our giant extended family! We're visiting relatives, so this was a great little adventure for a few hours. The strawberry shortcake is unlike anything I've ever had, and the kids loved the sundaes. All kinds of gifts and produce and goodies! So much fun! Well worth the drive!

    Absolutely adorable market with EVERYTHING you could imagine. Hands down some of the best strawberry shortcake I've had...and the whip is dairy free. There's also an option for strawberries without sugar. Fantastic strawberry milkshakes as well!

    We visited last weekend and it is worth the visit even if not strawberry season. During strawberry season it is a must visit to eat their delicious shortcake with plenty of seating to dine in. There is always a large selection of produce and plants at good prices. There is a lot of cute gift items and planters but they tend to be unique but pricey. Always easy to park and can take your time shopping. nice and efficient staff.

    Always a favorite stop for us when we are visiting the area. This place stays busy, and for good reason. The strawberry sweets are to die for good. Great selection of fresh produce. One would be amiss to post up an opportunity to check this place out.

    Popular place. Still have the ever present long lines but they moved fairly quick. Price up to $6.00 for their ever popular strawberry shortcake. No longer have any water to drink.

    Excellent open-air, covered roadside location for a great variety of vegetables and fruits. Also sells candies and famous strawberry milkshakes (other flavors available). Well established, long time local store usually selling locally farmed fresh fruits and vegetables. Famous, well known, and trustworthy. We live locally and frequently for good veggies and fruit! Highly recommended!!

    My friend and I decided to stop by here as we were visiting due to the Strawberry Festival. We were not disappointed. Though the line was a little long for the desserts, it took less than 20 minutes to get to the front and less than 3 minutes to get our order. We ordered the famous strawberry shortcake with ice cream with the strawberry milkshake. The milkshake did not disappointed and it was so refreshing and creamy. The strawberries were very sweet and the ice cream was creamy and delicious. The mountain of whip cream on top was perfect. The only thing I didn't like was the cake. It was really dry almost like cornbread but I did not know if that was suppose to be how it usually is since this was my first time having it. The market had a variety of beautiful plants. The plants looked so well taken care of and I thought that the strawberry photo booth in the back was adorable. All the produce was mostly fresh and if they were not they were offered at a lower price. Everything was priced decently. My friend and I were dying to take a box of strawberries home but couldn't since we can't leave them in the car. The weather was so nice the day we went and was very windy. Definitely a must visit if you're in the area. Tips: if you can't finding parking there is a little office next door with a lot more parking. Service dogs are allowed but there is a sign that says dogs aren't but I did see multiple people bring their dogs so I do not know. I would stop by the early morning and also the desserts are served January to April.

    Always lots of people in line for strawberry shortcake, which is a good sign. Delicious! Lots of fresh produce and strawberry preserves. If you don't want to eat your strawberry shortcake there and then, they have the shortcake for sale at the produce register and fresh strawberries, so you can make it at home with real whipped cream instead of the non dairy topping they use, it's pretty good, but nothong beats home made whipped cream on strawberry shortcake!

    Plant City is the home of the Florida Strawberry Festival each year and is known far and wide for the best strawberries anywhere. The Parkesdale Market is a roadside open-air produce market that specializes in strawberries but also has a complete selection of fresh produce. Our visit today was in October, when newly planted strawberry plants can be seen up and down the local roads, meaning fresh strawberries are out of season. But, we did stop for strawberry milkshakes and some everyday produce. We are consistently happy with the quality of the fruit and veggies we buy and the prices can't be beat. The strawberry milkshakes are always available and a special treat we love. In the early months of the year, the fresh strawberry crop is picked and the special desserts from fresh berries are the reason Parkesdale has the reputation it has..

    We love stopping here. They have the best strawberries, strawberry products like soft cookies and milkshakes.
