Nice beautiful conversation park located in the Hillsborough county. One can easily spend a day hiking all trails and picnicking in this park. There is also kayaking launch area. Plenty of parking available on both sides of the road around entrance to the park. Public restroom is available. There are 3 main trails in the park. Trails are located along the river. Bald Cypress trail is definitely the beautiful with unpaved trail but located very close to the river and displays a lot of bald Cypress trees. There is also a river overlook located at the end of trail. The Morris bridge boardwalk trail is another beautiful trail. The 3rd being buteo trail. There is another trail named river overlook that joins you to bald Cypress trail. Admission fees is just $2 and it's worth it.

Such a beautiful hidden gem! I absolutely loved hiking these trails. Saw lots of wildlife (even a wild danger noodle!) some of the trails aren’t the best to go through with children/strollers but we made it work for our little adventurous injured babe!

This is a great park to access a wilder part of the Hillsborough river with boats. Whether it is a trailered boat but especially kayaks and canoes. It is $2 for boats without trailers and $7 for trailered boats. There is a paved boat launch and two nice docks for towing up boats. There are nice restrooms and a grill as well as picnic tables. There are a few short trails with board walks. Just a simple and effective little park to enjoy the Hillsborough river.

Such a wonderful and lush preserve with plenty of parking tucked away from other more popular and busy parks. Very casual trail. I have a serious back issue and I was able to walk it no problem. They even have benches to sit and rest throughout the trail. Lots of birds, gators, deer and even feral pigs!

$2 to park, beautiful wooded boardwalk and two other trails along the river! The launch area looked nice too :) Loaded with wildlife — fish, snakes, gators, and a bunny! Will take a kayak next time as there’s much to explore!

BREATH TAKING!!! Watch for snakes and GATORS! There are real things here, that can, and WILL KILL YOU, if your not AWARE of your surroundings, you're surroundings may take your life! PARENTS, WATCH YOU KIDS, CLOSELY? YOUR RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS! Gators will and have eaten humans...

A nice little set of trails right off the main road and close to I-75. The walk along the river was amazing, but the later 2/3s, while still pretty, wasn’t nearly as spectacular.

This is a place I love to visit, I remember it being our first stop on the way to grandma's house. Looking for alligators, chameleons, and many other sites are phenomenal.

We kayaked from John Sergeant Park to here; it was a 4.5 mile easy float down the river. This park has $2 parking which can be paid with a credit card. There are picnic tables, a boat launch, and clean restrooms. There was a good current down stream to Morris Bridge, so we only needed to paddle to steer. It was blissfully quiet along the way. We saw 11 gators, three large turtles, 2 otters playing, and dozens of birds. I posted quite a few pictures of wildlife and nature on my review of John Sargent Park.

Beautiful park thats very well worth the $2 entry fee. Great spot for nature enthusiasts to get out and explore on the trails. The boardwalk is a short walk but pretty cool. A few trails are closed today because of the recent flooding of the river. Fishing and kayaking avaliable here

Pretty nice, one of the trails was very confusing, and this half of the place is very small. The river overview is a little lackluster as you have to walk a mile and at the time, the river was barely there. Overall enjoyable however, very nice walk

They no longer have a kayak/canoe livery service available so you will have to either have two vehicles and park one down river. If you are going solo you can always secure your kayak with a chain/lock and use Uber which I have done. The river was low and there was a lot of obstructions however it is being worked on and I think will become easier after first few good rains. All and all it's about what you'd expect.

Great walking trails. Small boat ramp. Restroom facility. Picnic tables. Docks to fish from. $2 parking. Beautiful short birding trail that is a raised dock style which meanders along the river. Also serves as a pleasant little way point for the Wilderness Park mountain biking trails.

It is quiet and clean with multiple observation decks and a beautiful walk about. There are two launches altho one is a little difficult if you have a larger kayak but access is easier depending which way you go on the river! There's not many Gators here either. The biggest one I've seen so far is about 8 ft, they usually stay clear of humans tho!
