Good, Clean park to go for a walk and escape the big city. There is a trail that goes around the lake that amounts to about a mile. During the week and on weekend they have food trucks and vendors come out for a farmers market. The food trucks are great and allows families to get out and do something different. The reason why I cannot give it 5 stars is that the park’s two bathroom facilities are both on the same side of the park, so if you need to use them you have to cross the park & go into the clubhouse or the pavilion where parties are thrown. It’s inconvenient but not a deal breaker. The other reason is that their boardwalks have been under maintenance for YEARS and YEARS!!! They finally finished two but the third still remains shutdown with no indication of being worked on anytime soon.

Love this park is huge and they have a lots of activities on the weekend,I thoroughly enjoy going to this park. It's a friendly environment to take the kids or your pets. There's a big trail, along with horse stables, basketball courts, and a big playground. So everyone will be able to enjoy themselves here. I love how it's not too far from me at all and very convenient. It's one of the cleanest parks I've ever been to. I highly recommend people to go here.

Community park that offers space for a variety of activities. They have food trucks on Wednesdays - it’s a small but decent variety. The parks trails have charm but would benefit from city funding to repair & restore bridge boardwalks and trials. It would be nice to see some areas for shade, fencing in some areas, & maybe outdoor exercise equipment along the paths. Lots of wildlife to keep an eye out for - but be aware of gators! Online it says dogs are allowed - but once I got deeper in trail I seen sign saying no pets allowed on trial? I brought my little dog with me but maybe better to skip this park with your pet on the trials with gator risk.

Simply a wonderful park, has almost everything. You could walk around the lake with piers sadly the main bridge possibly for construction/safety reasons. Has multiple playgrounds close to each other, two basketball courts, two tennis courts, and a bathroom. I believe the horse track and stables are used in events but I would come check one of those out. This park is close to sawgrass mills mall making a perfect conbo to come here after you spend the day in the mall. I definitely will be coming back to this park!

4.5 stars. The reason being is that the boardwalk was closed for repairs. This park is huge and has a nice paved walking path. Some areas are shaded. There are signs that says watch out for alligators and other wildlife. They have a basketball court and restrooms. There is a picnic area by the restrooms. Now the show stopper, the playground! It's one of the biggest I've seen. They have a big kids and little kids section; plenty of picnic tables and benches. Overall, this is a very nice park!

There is a beautiful trail for all ages. There are play areas for kids of different ages. My daughter loved it very much. The kids will definitely love the play area. So many options. There is lots of parking available at the Park. Toilets are available near the Play Area. The play area is fenced and safe. Would definitely recommend.

I absolutely love this park. The views are so relaxing, grounding, and serene. The bathrooms are clean, and the playground is well kept up. They have food trucks there every Wednesday evening, which is fun. This is one of my favorite parks to visit. It's great for a walk, or to shoot hoops or have a picnic!

Awesome park. Never had a problem here with rangers, clean up crew or park patrons. Park patrons just mind their own business and watch their own kids. Great for birthday parties 🥳 about $100 to rent small gazebos. BBQ available in large gazebo. Long walking trail around park with Everglades scenery. Lots of turtles 🐢.

Highly recommend the food trucks which are here on Wednesdays from 5:00 to 9:00! I understand that in June, they're going to be including live music.... Went there this evening and was delighted to find a vegetarian food truck called "Garden Divas".... They only use plant-based meat and no animal products. Got some really delicious "pepperoni" calzones and crunchy "beef" tacos, along with some killer homemade hummus and blackberry lemonade. Super yummy!😋 There's also a big playground for the kids nearby and lots of space. I'll definitely be back!

The playground was nice and clean. The equipment was in good condition. The bathrooms are far and outside of the playground area but are in good condition. Overall the park is really nice. I recommend it to take your children.

Volunteer park and the staff is AMAZING! We had our wedding ceremony and reception in the banquet room. The staff was so helpful from start to finish!! P.Archor and Tatum are the best!! No matter how many visits or questions we had they were able to accommodate us. We catered the food for almost 200 guest, so the on-site full kitchen was a plus!!!!!! We will definitely have an another event there.

We absolutely love this park! It has multiple playgrounds fenced in, so I don't get nervous when my 4 year old runs from one side to the other. It also has beautiful batire trails with a bridge where you can see dozens of turtles and fish swimming. Fun for the while family!

A nice spot for a walk, always clean, and the water is always full of life. We enjoy watching the turtles and the birds.

Nice park! Clean and accommodating. Parking was a challenge because of the farmer's market happening. Was there for a different event inside the facility.

Very well-kept park with a lot of open spaces, tennis court and nice lake in the middle. Also, when you go over the lake, there are young and old turtles under the bridge. Love this park.

Love the Saturday farmers market. It's a must do on my visits to Plantation and Sunrise. Lots of good offerings from vendors. Yummy food also.

My kids absolutely love this park it is great! There's multiple play areas, some for the younger children as well as the older kids. There are restrooms however, sometimes they're locked midday for no apparent reason, which is frustrating because I don't have a portable potty for my toddler. There are plenty of picnic tables and shelters that are available. I do see parties held in the shelters which is nice. There is a walking trail that goes around the entire park, so if you like to job, run or walk around and enjoy nature, I'd say come to Volunteer Park! You can bring your dog on the walking trail but it has to be kept on a leash because of the fact that there's surrounding bodies of water that may have alligators or snakes so just beware of that. I come to this park every week, my family loves it.

The park is beautiful, with a nice diversity of nature. The only thing I can’t understand is why does the park not allow fishing. The lake has a large presence of invasive fish, even if the fishing was limited to catch and release, it could to the lake’s ecosystem some good. Even if fishing is currently not allowed, the invasion of non-local fish should not be allowed. On a side note, the out reaching walkways that have been closed for repair should be fixed sooner rather than later to truly enjoy the park’s beauty.

My grandson loves this park. It is well my maintained and has lots of attractions for kids. There are plenty of amenities for families wishing to have fun outdoors. We always go for ice cream after spending time at this park It is, and hopefully will continue to be a cherished experience for our grandson and his grandparents.

We went to the fall festival here and it was great! It was packed but not unbearable and the price was fair. They had magic shows, and photo booths, trick or treating and food trucks, they had bounce houses and basic rides. Everything was spaced out perfectly and easy to navigate. Our toddler loved the petting zoo and she even got a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.

Super nice park with about 5 playground for all different ages. It has 2 nice Shelters that you can rent and 3 little ones. It's all fenced in and the bathrooms are in the building right next to it. On some Saturday's they have a little set up in the parking lot next to it with different vendors such as snow cones, bbq, fresh market, crystals, corn etc.

There is always activity at Volunteer park. On the weekends, there are farmers markets that showcase local businesses. On a regular day, you can enjoy the trails, basketball courts, and playgrounds. I love getting my steps in at this park because it feels like I am in the Everglades while being right in the middle of the city. My fiancé and I have bought food from Fresh Market to have picnics here.

Great park, with a good number of playgrounds for the kids; all of which are gated. Just make sure to take your valuables with you. The wife's car got broken into while she was in the park with our kids, so be sure to park close by.

It's really one of the best parks around. It had tennis and basketball courts, walking path around a lake, and playground with pavilions. I love the food truck Wednesdays and the big open green space for playing catch.

They have multiple parks for the kids. My 3yo was able to do a most of them, she skipped the treehouse looking one. Very clean and organized, water fountain and misting pole station. We were here for Wednesday food truck event, and were pleasantly surprised to find multiple parks.
