I've been a member of this gym since before the pandemic, which is before 24 Hour Fitness filed bankruptcy. In terms of cleanliness (which should be important) he gym has gone way down hill. It looks like they rarely, if ever, clean the floors. I've seen the same band-aid and bolts from the equipment laying on the floors for weeks. Workout chalk all over the floors, Dumbbells are difficult to find because they are never where they should be but instead all over the gym on the floor. The place is disgusting. All the while you see the employees sitting at the front desk playing with their phones. Go figure! There's better gyms out there.

No clue how this place gets high reviews unless they have friends and family posting. This place is a dump. Half the cardio machines don't work. Most of the equipment is very old and worn. Since the bankruptcy, they have put nothing into this club. I have complained and the GM blew smoke up my a$$ as usual. Yes it is cheaper than LA Fitness, but if money is the issue, Planet Fitness is not that far away. We are going shopping for new gym next week, I have given them too many opportunities to make this right. BTW the bathrooms are disgusting and when you have fixtures with bags over them for three months it's a pretty good sign you have cash flow issues. If they do not get bought out they will be out of business.

I am writing to complain about the poor experience I had at your gym today and the unacceptable response from the manager Jessie Rodriguez. I have been working out for over 7 years now and have been a member of several fitness institutions. As well as being a guest of family and friends at their own gyms. As you can understand a morning workout is important to many. It allows us to prepare ourselves mentally and physically for the challenges we may face throughout the day. Unfortunately, due to my experience today it started my day off on the wrong foot. I was an active member at the Miramar location but recently I have decided to go to your gym in Plantation. Three weeks ago, I renewed my membership for the full year in the amount of $350 and I have visited the gym several times now without any incident. This morning the manager Jessie was at the desk doing check in and he was having a hard time scanning my mobile device. Once scanned I proceeded to enter and start my workout, but he abruptly stopped me and stated my membership was not active. I questioned that immediately as I had just renewed and paid the annual fee. He was very rude and standoffish when I told him that was definitely a mistake. As this was happening another staff member came over and was able to locate my information and corrected the manager to state that my membership was active. Rather than admitting his error he tried to imply this was due to my negligence in not updating my contact information. I decided to enter and begin my workout, but I decided to ask an employee for the name and position of said manager. At that moment Jessie decided to raise his voice, even though I was not directing the question to him and answered rudely that he was the manger of that employee. Which I believe to be extremely rude and unprofessional. It was moments later that Presley came over to speak to me and offer an apology over what had just occurred. While I appreciate his effort, it wasn’t for him to apologize for the unprofessional behavior of his manager. I expect to receive a full explanation regarding this matter. I hope that you would take this complaint seriously.

I have been a member here for over 20 years and multiple owners. It has been a on downward spiral for many years, PRIOR to Covid. Today, of the seven stair masters on the floor, five are broken with signs saying they are out of service. The towel dispensers are often empty and the cleaning solution spray bottles are frequently absent or empty. The restrooms are often without toilet paper or paper towels and in need of cleaning. I have attempted to call corporate many times and have brought these issues to the attention of the management. They always say “I’ll look into it” and nothing changes. The only positive, and the only reason I keep my membership, are the classes led by Michele. She is a gem. LA fitness is around the corner and a much better option. June 14,2022 update: well over a month and four of seven stair masters are still “out of service.”

Went for three day pass to check out the gym (night time ). Love they are actually 24hr gym. Front staff were friendly and helpful. Not much people there during the night, there many parts that were close due to repairing. But got a good workout those three days. The group fitness is warm but not hot. They do have a pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Have plenty machine to workout up stairs and down stairs. Did check out their membership and it’s cool you can bring two guest for one of them especially that their 24hrs . Only thing is there is much to fix.

Not sure where to start but I'll lead off with for the price this gym needs to get their act together. The gym is ALWAYS dirty. Equipment looks like it's always in a state of disrepair. Furthermore the weights are entirely inconsistent across the gym. Hip abbductor in kilos and the abductor literally right next to it is in lbs. Other machines also have mix of kilos and lbs depending on the machine. Trying to keep and maintain accurate weight increases and gains bc a math problem which is entirely unnecessary. It is literally impossible to do the same weights between machines. Do yourself a favor and spend less than half the price for better quality at almost any other gym where I don't need to worry about cleanliness or struggle to calculate weights between machines.

I love this gym. It's a real gym. Not some lounge gym. A place to really work out. The people and staff are great.

Went there with a guest pass. “Mo” said he will not recognize the guest pass because “it’s the weekend” (no where in the guest pass policy does it say that the pass is only for the weekdays which I provided to Mo.) Mo did not provide any written policy, and just kept repeating that “he agrees” like a broken record in response to everything I said. I said, how can I trust that some unwritten policy won’t over rule the written contract I sign if I become a member? He just said that “he agreed” and implied that they will lie in their contract as well. I told Mo that if I drove all the way there to be denied service based on an unwritten rule then I will never come back and will never become a member. Mo did not care whatsoever and just sarcastically told me to drive safe when I leave. Ironically there was another guy there in the same exact situation as me… Mo managed to literally lose 2 members simultaneously. If there’s one thing Mo is good at, it’s convincing people to join any other gym besides 24 hour fitness. Congratulations.

Since they shut down the one in sunrise for poor management I’m assuming because that one was just wild…I started coming to the one in plantation to find it in even worse condition. The bathrooms very dirty, the steam room never working and mildew EVERYWHERE. The sauna in hazardous conditions with exposed rusty nails where a wooden bench used to be (now broken) They might as well shut this one down as well. Why am I paying so much for such a mediocre experience…. Management doesn’t even care anymore.

Just finished a three day trial at this gym. I was genuinely looking to switch from my gym as this one is a lot bigger. Although I enjoyed the wide variety of equipment they had and the location, I can’t say that I’ll ever go back. The overall cleanliness of this place is the main reason I made my decision. It does not feel like the staff does much cleaning. In fact, I don’t think I saw one staff member upstairs cleaning in the three days I was there. Today I had to use the restroom and when I walked in to the restroom I was met with atrocity. There was toilet paper all over the floor, the toilet was clogged, there was no toilet paper stocked to be used, and a foul odor. In addition to the cleanliness, it seemed as though the equipment doesn’t ever get any TLC. Also, the air flow from the A/C upstairs and in the warmup area downstairs is virtually nonexistent. That pretty much sums up my three day experience. I wish it were different and I do hope those conditions improve. For now I’ll stick with my current gym location.

This is the worst gym I've ever seen. It's like a time capsule all the machines are old as hell from 2004 when 24 hour fitness first opened in Coral Springs. Only difference is its dirty as hell. There is "not working" signs on at least 10 machines. The weight section is a joke. Crammed and lacking the most basic machines. The bench presses are almost on touching. This is a hazard. I remember going to that cheap youfit gym for $10 a month that was 100x better than this. The 24 hour fitness on Oakland was the only one worth the money it was amazing. Don't waste your money on this place. If you have drive longer then do it. It's a complete waste.

(12/22/23 Update - Nothing has changed other than they are re-doing the pool. Everything else - remains exactly as dirty as prior. I am definitely changing to the new AMPED Fitness down the street. ) .............. This gym is perpetually DIRTY. These photos from a couple weeks ago, but nothing is different today. Men's showers are missing handles, doors, nasty gunky looking mold on walls. The tile floors grout is black all over - looks like hasn't been cleaned in years. Look at the moldly looking stuff growing along the tile grout around perimeter of hot tub. When I walked in tonight, were 4 young people at counter, 3 of them never even looked up from their phones, one did momentarily and said have a good workout. three of them should have been cleaning. There's dirt and dust EVERYWHERE - EVERYDAY. Honestly - the Plantation, florida health department should shut this filthy place down.

The gym has progressively gotten worse. It is absolutely disgusting. They don't clean the floors in the immediate area of equipment or under equipment. You can literally see a layer of dust as you sit in any machine. Many of the machines have worn and ripped padding. While I don't remember this gym as super clean, it has never been this bad.

I first starting going to the Plantation location about 5 weeks ago because it was the cleanest out of the 3 locations near me (Miami Gardens, Pines, and here) but I think that was the last time they cleaned. I've noticed the lack of paper towels and cleaning spray on the second floor every time I go around 6-7 pm every time I've gone, but I've looked past it until this evening when I went. The bathrooms are beyond needing to be cleaned. I saw 2 roaches and was only able to get a picture of the large one (yes it was alive). The floors are littered with hair and there's lots of mold especially in the shower in the back right that has been leaking for weeks and now has tons of mold. Even the soap dispensers have mold. I like it here, but I am very disappointed that this has been let go for so long. Especially since I'm not the only one complaining about the same thing. No apology needed, just please fix it!

I would give this gym 0 stars if I could. I’m writing this review as I am standing in the gym. Only 3 of the 7 stairclimbers work. Equipment is stuck in time, creeks a little when you use it. They did a terrible job utilizing space. Almost nothing is available for use. But don’t worry there’s a billion available treadmills. Also overrun by high schoolers just wasting their time. If you want to get a serious workout in, I highly suggest you go elsewhere. I prefer planet fitness over this place.

We are long time members, and just reactivated our memberships after extended travels and showed up to find the entire pool area closed and you are no longer operating 24 hours a day. It would have been nice to know that a major renovation, a long overdue step, was underway before reactivating our dues as we primarily use the pool area of the gym. We now wonder if the locker rooms, and especially drains and shower are also in this renovation which greatly in need if improvement. If not, it deserves your attention. #Respectfully

1/24/23 note to manager who keeps sending random generic responds to people’s complaints how about actually doing your job and fixing the the problems that keep getting pointed out here time after time instead of scrolling Instagram on your phone all day at the front desk?

This gym is a dump, which is disappointing because it has the potential to be a really good gym. Unfortunately most of the equipment is old and poorly maintained, and the gym is usually pretty dirty. If you’re not picky about gyms this one may be fine for you, and it’s cheap. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for any serious lifters.

This leg extension machine has been broken for the better part of 3 years. I understand parts are hard to come by but why not try replacing the machine? Even with a used one by hammer strength instead you gloat about fixing stuff that nobody uses then flaunt it in the front like there are club improvements. 09/29/23

Update 2/16/24: They put signage a month ago outside the gym in regard to the time it’s taking for the sauna/pool to reopen. About a week ago they removed it and now we’re getting an i don’t know from staff when it’ll be reopen. Where’s the credit we should be getting on our accounts since November of last year. Unacceptable. They’re spending money on everything BUT what we want, give us back our sauna and steam room. Update: Sauna/Steam room has been closed since the first week of december 2023. They estimated Jan 4 it’s now the 5th and the pool/sauna area doesn’t look close to finished. Asked front desk and they cannot give an estimate anymore. I will not be recommending this gym to anyone and i will most likely cancel my membership very soon. I’ve been coming here for 5 years. I’ve put up with the loss of cleaning staff during covid and the nastiness the gym became, roaches, dirty bathrooms, hairballs in corners and under machines. I’ve dealt with the broken machines that go unnoticed for weeks, the removal of kaolin dispensers all over the gym, the loss of staff. One thing i cannot understand is why they would kill off a bunch of bees that were probably hiding out from the cold weather we’ve had. Upstairs by the woman’s bathroom there’s dead bee bodies littering the floor, it’s a crime scene. We need bees, they did nothing but hide. Shame on 24hr! You’re suppose to call your local bee keepers association to help relocate the bees to a proper home that’ll love them. Nope this was my last straw im leaving a bad review.

This 24 Hour Fitness location offers very reasonable price, isn't excessively crowded, and the service is wonderful. They constantly been slowly fixing all of their issues such as new machines to replace broken ones, new a.c., updates to the pool to name a few. However, a notable drawback is that the upstairs bathroom needs an update.

Was looking into switching from LA to 24 hour fitness because of the hours but after reading the reviews and looking at the pictures of this place… I better not. The pictures from other guests say it all. The place looks super dirty. You can tell they don’t deep clean. And the reviews also said the machines are outdated and most not working. It’s a shame I really wanted to try this place but I’m not going to risk it. The owners/management should really fix up this place.

Poor Management, they have a big and amazing place but the place is dusty, kids at gym alone, guys dressing underwear at the pool (not swimwear) the fountains has hot water only (when works) the employees get 99% of the time at the lobby using personal cell phones, they barely controls who enter, after 11 pm you can’t be safe they have only one person for the whole place, girls be careful at night 😢

My family and I had a really beautiful experience and tour with Stuart. As I visited two competitors and was offered multiple signing bonus the overall experience and high level overview that Stuart provided to me was the topper. As a consumer it’s important to be when shopping, investing in goods and services or seeking guidance from business outlet’s that I identify diversity and high level customer care and support in any establishment. Stuart was truly professional, kind, warm and made me feel as though all my Wellness Goal’s were right within my reach at 24 hour fitness. It’s because of his professionalism and interaction with my family why I made this the last tour and became an 24 Hour Fitness Member! Thank you so very much Stuart.

Terrible. I got a 3 day pass and only went 1 day. It was hot, muggy and dirty. I’m pretty sure there’s mold somewhere. I left after 20min. This is so embarrassing for Plantation. Should we call the Mayor? This place has to be a breeding ground for bacteria… Very sad at how many comments are referencing how disgusting this place is. Yet, they do nothing.

. I am a member and I have paid for my membership up front and this is the third time this year that's your sauna has not been functional for more than 4 days at a time. There have been other times what was not functional for a day or or two as well this year. Not to mention in the beginning of the year there was over a month where your entire pool area was shut down. I paid for my membership October of 2022 up front and I am disgusted at the fact that there has been almost two whole months cumulative why have not been able to use the sauna. I have made this complaint to the store supervisor yet nothing seems to be getting any better. I have a gym in my house and I do not come there for the purpose of using your machines. I come there for the purpose of using the hot tub and the sauna. It is egregious that the gym is receiving THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS EVERY DAY from membership dues yet you cannot find one person in South Florida who can get that SAUNA Working within a 24-hour period of it breaking down? I also have been there numerous times to try to use the machines like the StairMaster or your indoor cycle ...only to find out that they are not operational. I have pictures where my daughter and I have tried to use your StairMaster and out of six machines only one is functional !! Your gym can't even hold a class of 20-25 people in your cycle room due to the amount of bicycles that are not operational. This gym is below standard and I am very disappointed that I paid Upfront for the entire year and have not been able to make use of the gym and the way that I need to use the machines and the equipment. Went today to gym 5/23/23 and sauna still isn't working and for of steam room is filthy.

The gym has alot to offer but honestly they need better more attentive staff. Everytime I go there nobody is at the front desk, the trainer who I kept telling that I wasn't interested in training with him still kept asking me the same question after I told him no. He still tried to get me to sign up for lessons with him even though I told him no like a thousand times. Customer service needs alot of improvement. Not the cleanest gym either, always looking dirty.

I'm not sure what happened to the upkeep of this gym. The bathrooms are terrible and smell really bad when I get there in the evening. I really considering go somewhere else. It's a great gym but you guys need to keep in cleanliness going. I suggest having someone stuffed to clean the Restrooms most of the day.

Nicest 24 I've ever been too. I'm in town for a friend's baby shower and decided to stop in for a quick workout. I wish I had more time because this gym is AMAZING. It's huge first of all. Best part was the downstairs Training area with sleds and so much space. My home gym has this area too, but it is a quarter of the size. Almost makes me wish I lived here!

I have been coming here since 1997 and it is like a home away from home for me. I have loved so many of the classes that I have taken. The reason for the 4 stars is lack of cleaning. During CoVID the gym smelled fresh and you could tell it was sprayed and cleaned more often. Now it is back to smelling very damp and some areas of floor near upstairs womens bathroom have bad odors. (almost like sewer smell) The carpets need cleaning. The floors need better mopping. Hopefully these issues can be corrected.

This gym is filthy, one of the dirtiest gyms I’ve ever been in. Weights never get re racked you find them all over the gym, in the sauna, by the cardio equipment it’s crazy trying to find what you need. The staff is basically there to watch the front door and that’s it it seems. Outside of that it does have a decent amount of equipment and a is spacious. Hopefully management straightens things out because it could be a great location if it was cleaned regularly and weights got re racked a couple times a day.

I have been a member for 3 year's. I love the classes but very disappointed in the gym equipment and cleanliness of the entire gym. I don't understand why UPPER Management would let this happen. First air conditioning was a problem, now tvs and music are out of commission. I believe air conditioning is finally fixed after months. Spinning class has always been great, now half the bike's don't work.I really liked this gym when I started but definitely has gone down hill. Will most likely be searching for a new gym.

Joined this gym back in Feb 2018. In typical me fashion, I went for a month and fell off the wagon. Still continued to pay for membership for the next year and decided not to renew because we moved out of the area in Feb 2019. Now 3.5 years later they're trying to tell me that I owe them money??? I seriously thought it was a scam! Come to find out they've filed for bankruptcy and are clearly scrambling to get people to give them money. DONT NOT USE THIS PLACE!

If you are looking for a perfect gym, this isn't it. However, for the price and hours. It serves its purpose. The main concerns aren't related to management, even if they could put more effort towards the instalations. But primarily, it is the people that come to this gym that have no regard for it. People don't clean after using the equipment, grabbing several weights and dumbbells but don't put them were they go, leave trash around, and do not care for the place at all. This is the main problem, the gym goers; management could do more but again. For the price and availability, the gym serves as a good option .

Place went down hill and I don’t know if they can recover. They stopped going 24 hours on Friday Saturday and Sunday until further notice because of some renovations that they were supposed to do in December. They say they’ll be done by March, but if that happens, it will be one of the greatest miracles ever performed by man.

The gym is progressing. Which is good to see. There is nothing better on a Monday through Friday seeing, Leo a.k.a. luscious at the front to greet you. I was a member of this gym over 20 years ago when I first walked 6 weeks ago he still remembered my name. That is crazy! He literally Makes everybody feel welcome and he make sure he says goodbye to everyone by name. The guy has a memory like an elephant. We love you luscious!

This place has changed for the worse in the last 9 months. Just made sure to cancel any “auto-renew” for the new year. It’s no longer 24 hours, the pool hasn’t been available for 3 months, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. I can completely understand why the staff has been a revolving door in the last 6 months. I don’t see this place turning things around anytime soon. Time to look for a new gym for me. Good luck to anyone looking to start or continue their fitness journey.

I came in this Sunday around 2 pm, I don’t have a membership but I was willing to pay out of pocket to use gym/ sauna for the day. ( young girl at front desk, refused my business and said I can only use the Gym if I buy a membership with her. I Have never heard of that in my life. No manager present in the whole gym is what (front desk) told me. Basically said if I don’t want to spend the money on a membership you can’t work out. I have been a customer of this location for years. Interesting how there’s a whole big Gym with many people yet no management anywhere. Sad experience considering I used to like this gym.

The 24 hour fitness here in plantation is amazing and the customer service is great. The staff is very helpful when it comes to working out, using the machines, and helping you with your own individualized workout plan. It would be nice if they could fix up the club to match the great staff members and clients who attend.

I use to love coming here when they were on Nobhill Rd, but Now that they've closed down that one and transferred to here it's a total nightmare. The women's locker room is always dirty, with literally balls of hair in all the drains all over the floors. Hair is everywhere! They closed the jacuzzi down with no notices sent out to let us know they are renovating, with even having some type of noticeable green residue from not being cleaned as it should be. Everything is just a complete mess. I pray with these renovations they're working on, changes get implemented. Our health is very important considering it's the very reason we come this establishment, to better our health.

Today I was coming in as a guest to see if I could get a pass to really try the gym out and experience what the gym had to offer, even if it were for a few days. I was considering joining. When we asked about a pass, instead of providing us with one, the manager tried to upsell the member who bought me in as a guest for an additional $20.00 dollars a month. When we informed the manager that all we wanted to do was just get me a pass so that I could try it out, the manager said it couldn't be done without the additional monthly increase. We then let him know that we came in the same car, (hoping that he would be cool and just let me in with a pass so that I didn't have to be sitting there doing nothing,) he didn't care. Not one bit. He just stood there looking at us indifferent. As if to say "And your point is??" Once I realized that the gyms policy is not to care if you had to sit in their facility doing nothing because a member wouldn't allow themselves to be up sold, I made myself comfortable at one of their sales stations and did some work. I'm glad I had my back pack with my laptops so that I could get some work done. If it weren't for that I would have had to sit there doing nothing. I think any facility that has management that doesn't care about denying access to members guests simply because they weren't able to charge a member an extra $20.00 a month should not be a place anyone would want to go. Way to go with that excellent customer service 24 hour, way to go.

Went to the gym in Plantation to redeem a gift card for their Chapter 11 restructuring. Was told had to come back during daytime hours when the manager was there since they are the only ones able to redeem the gift card. We cannot get there any daytime hours since we work. This seems to be a scam and it does not appear that 24 Hour Fitness is honoring their Chapter 11 requirements.

Love this gym, it’s very clean with several cleaning stations fully stocked all around the gym. Huge area available so you’re not on top of the next person trying to work out. Wet friendly and helpful staff. Affordable monthly cost with no contract. Very extensive list of virtual work outs including yoga and breath work!! I love this gym 😃 Steve assisted me when I purchased my month to month plan. He was very helpful and informative. PS- Right now due to covid guidelines they are not open past 11pm. But they are usually open 24 hours.

Had a great Zumba class with instructor Sandra! High energy, workout at your own pace, clear instructions, nice choice of music and overall good fun.

First time back to the gym in 16 months. The staff needs to step up and demand people keep masks on the entire time they are inside. Five staff including 2 managers gathered at the front desk and no one saw people going with no mask upstairs working out. It's not enough that they demand people walk in the front door with a mask on. The staff needs to do better to protect all of us and demand that the few keep their masks on. Please post someone upstairs to keep us all safe.

Been coming here since 2008 so it really sucks to see the condition this gym is in now. I’ve gone a lot longer than I should giving this place second and third chances. Up until last month a solid 70% of the equipment was broken in one way or another. Now most of those machines have been replaced with ‘newer’ used machines from another location, many of them still with defects. The level of uncleanliness of the entire gym (but specifically the bathrooms) is legitimately concerning. But the worst part is that it’s no longer even a 24 hour gym despite the name. Late night on the weekends were some of my favorite hours to workout because there were much less people around. Now that option doesn’t even exist anymore. Do I blame the staff or lower management? Not at all. This is evidence of a multimillion dollar corporation that has simply neglected this location because it’s dated and not in an ideal location to bring in the revenue they desire.

avoid this place like the plague. outdated equipments, broken machines, zero standard of cleanliness. this facility should be shut down for violation of health code. for those of us that paid our annual dues up front should be refunded for breach of contract when they changed their hours of operation, no longer making this a 24hr establishment and when their amenities are out of service. I've reached out to management and corporate and my messages went unanswered. this place is ran by a clown and it shows. can't keep their commitments to themselves that they made or accept accountability.

Cool place and good staff. Shout out to Aaron, Cass and Licious, they are very nice and helpful. A lot of room and space in general to do sprints and general conditioning. Also, I have been seeing a lot of new upgrades recently, so that is a big plus.
