Delicious Italian food. The space is small and intimate. My first time there I saw who I assume is the manager or owner greeting everyone who came in very clearly to me as she knew them. It felt like there were a lot of regulars which made me confident we were about to have a good meal. The garlic rolls are my favorite - Now when the craving hits we go just to pick up rolls! Oily, garlicky, and cheesy! And the fries were equally loaded with yummy garlic oil and cheese. The pasta was absolutely delicious. Its prosciutto was thinly shaven, and perfectly salty. Later, we ordered a take out deep dish pizza, and this is my only “less that exciting” feedback … it was just too much. It was so thick, the crust and the cheese … I’d recommend the thin crust next time (I’ve had that too now). Honestly, in my opinion there’s better places for pizza, so if you go here don’t miss out by ordering pizza. Get their pasta dishes which were perfection!

We just left the restaurant and I can only say good things about it. Starting with the service, food quality, desserts, everything was delicious 🤤 We drove 1 hour just to eat here. If you haven’t visited this place you MUST go 🤩 you won’t be disappointed PS: You have to try the tiramisu. I completely forgot to take a picture but it was so so delicious.

A wonderful Italian restaurant that is small and would be classified as a "hole-in-the wall". Don't be fooled, though, as the dishes pack a punch with wonderful fresh Italian flavors and classics to choose from. The food portions were sizable and delicious. Would love to visit again.

This is a treasure of a find. It is Nota very well visible place but the food and service was outstanding. The tiramisu was the best I've ever had, the garlic rolls also. The spaghetti meat sauce so flavorful and the lasagna was the best. I will certainly be coming back and hope you try it out also.

Il Barretto Ristorante is a charming family run Italian restaurant where the food is absolutely delicious. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and we started with fried calamari and beef meatballs that were succulent. We ordered mostly the chicken parmesan but also the eggplant parmesan and the fettuccine alfredo, everyone enjoyed their food thoroughly and also had a little bit to take home. The birthday girl was given a complimentary slice of tiramisu which we all shared and was delicious of course. I would highly recommend this restaurant which is a hidden gem.

I saw this Thick crust stuffed pizza online a few weeks ago and knew I had to try it. The 1st time we went, they were closed. :( We finally tried again, and We were glad we did. Don't let the exterior fool you. The interior is a lot nicer than you think. Most restaurants in the strip plazas are set up like fast food, NOT here, The atmosphere was very pleasing. (See pics). There were many things on the menu that we wanted to try, but we went for the medium deep dish stuffed pizza. We also got some parmesan fries. One piece of pizza filled us up after the fries. Keep in mind that if you order this, it takes a while to cook because it is so thick. The owner greeted us upon arrival, and she was very pleasant. And our waitress was also a joy.

Update Sept 2022: just as excellent as ever. Not your usual Americanized Italian restaurant - very authentic and exemplary service. An unusual Italian restaurant hidden in an unassuming strip mall. The pizza and service are amazing and these days, truly rare! The thin crust Chicago style pizza lunch special with pepperoni (under the cheese, so you don't see it) was excellent, with an additional topping of Italian sausage.

The Best Italian food in Broward County. Delicious food and great service. Authentic Chicago deep dish pizza. Pasta dishes are incredible. Owner, Daisy's is a wonderful host, we saw her visit every table and make sure all her guest are pleased. Il Baretto Ristorante is Fantastic! Reservations recommended on the weekends.

We are doing a road trip from NY to the south. A family member recommended this restaurant and it's safe to say WOW to the WOW!!! This Italian restaurant is definitely a MUST!!!! Every bite was a food orgasm, it definitely did not disappoint. This restaurant definitely left a great experience that I will be coming back before we go back to NY to get the STUFFED DEEP DISH PIZZA. I know it will not disappoint 🤤

Discovered this quaint, family operated Italian restaurant just across from the Broward Mall on a Friday night. We were promptly greeted and seated with a very attentive and professional staff. We were going to order the Chicago Deep Dish pie, however was told it would take about an hour, so we opted for the thin crust. I'd suggest if planning on dining here and you plan on the deep dish, order prior to arriving, as this is my plan for our next visit. The food and wine were excellent, freshly prepared, served hot and in a timely manner. The staff checked on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed, dirty plates promptly removed and beverages/wine glasses kept full. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a "home cooked" meal. Professionally run and managed by someone who takes pride in their offering. An excellent choice for Italian Food - and the service often lacking elsewhere, can certainly be found here. buon appetito !

I saw several great reviews and decided to give them a try. We were greeted by Daisy(Owner) who was so personable and made our entire group feel like we had known her for years. I’m originally from Chicago and I know my pizza. We ordered several items from the menu and 5 stuffed pizzas. Everything that we tried was delicious. The pizza was as authentic as I’ve had anywhere out of Chicago. The sauce was a little sweeter than the original but I’m not complaining. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

We were craving pizza and were in the area so decided to stop by for their deep dish pizza. We picked a table outside as it was a bit cold to sit indoors and the server came over right away. When we said that we wanted deep dish pizza, he stated that it takes about an hour to prepare. It was a no go - We were hungry! So we decided to stick to thin crusts instead. Must say there are TONS of pizza places anywhere you look but they aren’t that great. This pizza was so fresh, delicious, and even felt healthy lol. I ordered the Chicago thin crust with NO sausage- only mushrooms, peppers, and onions and hubs ordered the plain cheese. The pizza really hit the spot. Have to also mention the phenomenal customer service. I’m a big fan of management greeting guests and coming over to see how they are enjoying their experience. However NOT everyone does that. Management picks and chooses usually who they approach. Daisy, the owner of Il Baretto, came out personally and introduced herself to us. She gave us some insider tips on how to order the deep dish pizza for next time (lol call in advance guys!) and was overall very pleasant. To top off this delightful encounter, we ordered a cannoli each. It was delicious BUT I would have opted for no chocolate on the shell. Other than that, the cream with the pistachios was mesmerizing. We loved it. Will be back for the deep dish!!!

I don't pass out ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Stars like candy to just anyone. You have to earn it and boy did they. I was greeted and serviced by the owner , herself and she was sooooo pleasant. I was right away surprised at the amount of atmosphere they had for a strip mall restaurant. A touch of Italian class right here🎩. Everything was excellent and delicious. I will go back many more times to try the other items on the menu. We left there with very full bellies, warmth in our hearts and smiles on our faces. ✔️

This place is awesome, some of the best pasta I’ve had honestly. I had the chicken Alfredo pasta and it was super Creamy, and tasty. We also ordered the chicken Parm, and a tiramisu to end the meal. All was delicious, quick and good service. Will come many more times. On another occasion we also ordered the deep stuffed Chicago pizza. Looked great too, however not exactly my vibe. A warning on the stuffed pizza however, it is huge. The pizza literally weighs 10 pounds. And I found it to be too excessive, unless you have a large party or really love to eat cheese. Amazing place overall, loved it.

I just had lunch here and it was my first time. It was a wonderful experience. I had pizza with Bellissimo pepperoni and it was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I’m looking forward to my next visit! I met with owner Daisy Garcia and she was wonderful …. She brought out samples of Greco Italian roast beef for us to try and it was amazing!

DELICIOUS and such a friendly staff. Look no further if you’re looking for authentic Italian food at a reasonable price with family ambiance. The owners and staff are hospitable, kind, and so patient. I’ve gone twice already in the last month and plan to dine there often. The spaghetti carbonara is INCREDIBLE 😍

Came here to celebrate a friends birthday, and was told that they had Chicago deep dish style pizza so we had to order it. Besides the Chicago style pizza being the best one we’ve ever had in Florida the service and other food options were awesome. We have tried Chicago style pizza’s at other Florida restaurants and have never found one to be comparable to one from Chicago, but this one definitely takes the cake. We would highly recommend this restaurant and obviously the Chicago deep dish from here. We will definitely be coming back for more.

Always looking for good Italian cooking, I will say this is one of the best we've been to! The home made freshness, perfect preparation and excellently cooked dishes we had filled the belly and soul. From the moment we were welcomed in, seated, and met our server, Gigi (stage name) was how a customer wants to feel in a restaurant. It's a little small but I think that adds that feel you are in "grandma's kitchen" lol. The manager, Daisy, came and ensured they measured up and if we had any issues. My only complaint was I had no complaints lol!! Seriously good grub and recommend reservations for any party larger than 2 or ensure you got a table. This is one of those of those finds you want to keep a secret but I cannot..its simply too good not to share.

Amazing food. I had the Fettuccine Calamari and it tasted phenomenal. The servers were very attentive and friendly. Definitely will come again! Food was so good, I only have a picture of the after haha!

Defintely worth more than 5 stars. I do suggest to call and place your order over the phone and make a reservation if you do not want to wait. Very small location. Hopefully they will expqnd one day up North. Deep dish and thin pizza is an exact duplicate of Chicago pizza.

Exceptional from the time they greet you to the time you leave. Superb service. Attentive and friendly but not intrusive. This foodie can attest that they have the most delectable homemade pastas and desserts. I'm in love with their lobster ravioli. I can't rave enough about this little gem in an unassuming location. Quaint locale with a charming atmosphere. Casual, yet fitting for a more special occasion. And their menu offers something that hits the spot for all.
