We stayed here in March on a company trip with a big group. Pools and spa were really nice and staff was great. Our one major complaint is our room smelled like mold and we could see mold in certain corners of the bathroom and foyer area. We had to get rid of some of our clothes because the smell was so strong. Despite complaining twice we were ignored and told there were no other rooms. We went to multiple rooms of other people in our group and they were fine, we just got the unlucky one. Brutal! But other than our room the resort was great.

We went here after 2 years of not taking a vacation and our trip turned out perfect and we came back engaged (that was the plan ;))! Pros: The hotel was clean and well taken care of, the dining options were numerous and the entertainment was great, but what really made this place memorable and made our trip successful was hands down the staff, from the people at the front to the waiters to the entertainment team, to the people who cleaned our room, they were all attentive, kind, helpful, fun and welcoming and just to mention a few people that made a big difference in our trip: Hector and Angelo from the entertainment team, Carlos at the front, Luis, Fatima and Ricardo with the food and drink service they were all amazing. Cons: there were certain things that were at extra charge that caught us off guard for an all inclusive, but still overall the all inclusive was more than enough. The beach at the time we went (end of June) was not the greatest but we do understand this isn't necessarily the fault of the hotel, they tried removing the seaweed but there was just too much of it and made the water look brown, nonetheless we still enjoyed paddle-boarding, canoeing and swimming as when you get a bit away from the shore the water was pretty nice. Overall the hotel and trip was much more positive than negative and we built unforgettable memories and met friends for life, hands down would go again.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received during my recent stay at your hotel. My partner and I were extremely excited to celebrate our honeymoon at your property, but unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Firstly, the condition of the bathroom was unacceptable. The shower had mold growing in it, which is not only unhygienic but also potentially hazardous to health. This made us uncomfortable and we were unable to fully enjoy our stay. Secondly, the air conditioning in our room was not functioning properly. Despite our repeated complaints to the front desk, the issue was not resolved. This made it difficult for us to sleep and relax in the room. Moreover, we had informed the hotel that we were there for our honeymoon, but we did not receive any special treatment or gestures, even though it was promised by the staff. We had also ordered food and drinks from the hotel restaurant, but the service was incredibly slow. One evening, our food was mistakenly given to another table, which was frustrating as we had to wait even longer for our food. Additionally, the staff forgot about our order and left us waiting for an extended period of time. Overall, our experience at your hotel was not up to the standard that we expected, especially considering that we were there to celebrate a special occasion. We hope that you will take the necessary measures to improve your service and prevent other guests from having a similar experience in the future.

My husband and I took a week long vacation to Paradisus La Perla to celebrate our anniversary. We've been to many different resorts throughout Mexico (Cancun, Riviera Maya, Cabo, Puerta Vallarta) and were looking forward to trying something new in Playa Del Carmen. I will begin with the what we enjoyed. The facility was very clean and well kept. We had an amazing experience at the spa (thank you, Claudia and Alberto). Lastly, we enjoyed have options for lunch and dinner. Now to the part that I wish I would have known before booking and hope this transparency helps someone else. The entrance to this resort is less than grand. As we were checking in, we were asked what kind of wine we would like sent to the room to celebrate our anniversary. We requested red wine. Instead, champagne was delivered. We did not drink it the first night and the cleaners took it unopened the next day, which was disappointing. They will assign you someone to help with dinner reservations, but they will also try to get you to listen to an hour long presentation the next day at a specific time in exchange for some perk they offer (ours was a massage and discount on 2nd, which was a decent perk). However, I don't want to listen to an hour long time-share like presentation. I didn't sign up for that when I booked my vacation. It was very shady and something I didn't appreciate it. It was presented as "a gift for our anniversary to keep us happy" Carlos played that one well. Another couple shared they were stuck for 3 hours at the presentation. Also, do your research on Melia (what they are presenting-it has terrible reviews). Next, 2 of our reservations for dinner were not booked correctly by staff and we were told that they did not have our reservation, in which I replied that wasn't my problem but seemed more like an issue with their reservation desk and program. They still accommodated us, but nonetheless it's very frustrating to show up and be told you don't have a reservation that you took the time to go to the desk to make. Although there are many options for dining, the food itself is mediocre at best. Something else that was frustrating was that one day the adult buffet was closed for a wedding reception. There needs to be a separate area for an event like this. It should not inconvenience other guests. One night we called for extra towels after a long day of excursions. We were told they would be there in 20 minutes. They never showed up. We didn't bother calling again and used the bath mat and hand towel. They advertise being an active resort with many activities and entertainment, but I would say that is far from the truth. We were disappointed by this as it was one of the big selling points for us when choosing this resort. Beware of the prices at the gift shops and plan on bringing everything you need, or going into town if you forget. OFF bug spray was $37 USD. We were shocked. It is unacceptable to take advantage of travelers like that. If you go into town it was around $5, but not all are comfortable or want to do that. Last but certainly not least, this is advertised as an adults only resort with a family friendly resort next door that adults would have access to. It's not next door. It is CONNECTED and you will see kids everywhere. Want to go to the coffee bar? Kid side. Want to get ice cream? Kid side. Many of the restaurants? Kids side. I can't deny that it would be an amazing vacation for a family, but that's not what we were looking for. I would have rather paid less to stay on the family side and gone to the adults only amenities, as I saw parents doing. This was the biggest disappointment for us. All in all, we were not happy with our stay. We will not being going back to this resort. If you are looking for an amazing, intimate, and relaxing ADULTS ONLY vacation, we HIGHLY suggest Blue Diamond Boutique Resort down the road. I know we wish we would have gone to this resort again. Paradisus La Perla, please do better and be more transparent. Your guests should be top priority.

This hotel is excellent. Everything is clean, excellently organized and luxurious. Wonderful location, the beach is very accessible, quiet and private. The best part of this hotel is the people who work here. Service is excellent. Everyone is kind, helpful and very genuine, not to mention there is an abundance of food selection that is all very tasty. Cocktails are curated with care and creativity. We ate at Hadar very often. Dagny was our hostess, she is very polite and seated us right away. Some awesome servers we experienced at Hadar restaurant were Fernando, Adan, Luis and Miguel. They were all very helpful, attentive and took the time to get to know us over the course of our stay. We are so appreciative of everyone’s hard work to make our stay exquisite. I highly recommend staying here at Paradisus.

As Reserve guests we had access to everything and everyone was so welcoming and helpful. We loved breakfast at Hadar, which is the same place they held the most beautiful wedding. The transformation was unbelievable! The staff at Hadar became like friends, we especially LOVED Antonio Morales, he made us feel right at home. We can't wait to come back next year. P.S Our concierge, Orlando Espinosa was the best! He's so sweet, he kept leaving nice surprises in our room. I wanted to take him home with us.

Id give 4 stars for the reason that they can still improve on some aspects like their staffs when it comes to room service- just random disappointing experiences/service from them. I love that there are activities happening on every corner everyday/night and didnt regret that we chose all inclusive package! Loved the ceviches served! Food overall was great!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at this hotel - it truly felt like paradise! The hotel is stunning, and really big resort with beautiful green areas, fantastic restaurants, lovely shops, and even a cozy coffee corner. The private beach was a real highlight, complete with a refreshing smoothie bar, comfortable beach beds, and exciting water activities. Even though we stayed for five days, we still didn't have enough time to fully explore the property and all the dining options. If you're considering a stay here, I highly recommend booking the "The Reserve" category, which gives you access to the spa, Sal restaurant, and a stunning pool with top-shelf alcohol.

We visited for a week and really enjoyed our stay here. Palapa was our favorite restaurant for breakfast, Maria the host is the sweetest. The health and power option they have is both healthy and delicious! The room was kept very clean and fridge was stocked each day. We will definitely be back!

I stayed in Paradisus La Perla for my Baby Moon with my husband and I don’t know where to begin to explain how phenomenal of a trip it was. Everything from the service, staff, amenities, cleanliness, beautiful decorations throughout the entire resort and the food!! I was truly impressed being that I’ve been to a couple resorts already in Cancun and this one exceeded expectations. They’re so accommodating and welcoming and make your experience here very pleasant. One of my favorite restaurants was Bana the Asian cuisine it was truly delicious and our waiter Omar made great suggestions and was awesome. The pool was lots of fun Enersto took really great care of us almost everyday and was very attentive and professional also remembered all of our favorites! Breakfast was delicious Lots of fresh food and the hosts were all very sweet! Also can’t forget the beach experience it was so romantic we had a Bali bed with a seafood platter and champagne and our waiter Javier was just amazing and made our experience truly magical. Its an amazing luxury resort and can’t wait to go back! Extra shoutouts to Alma concierge, Yulianna at the pool, and Ismael at the breakfast all these peoples I mentioned made my stay here very pleasant!

Just returned from Paradisus La Perla Overall, the resort is very beautiful, and the people try very hard to ensure that you have a good time. The rooms are clean and well maintained. There are however a few issues, we paid for the Reserve upgrade, which gave us access to a personal concierge and another restaurant for breakfast and dinner, thought this would be well worth the additional money to avoid buffet breakfasts. Unfortunately, we were wrong, the restaurant with the Reserve is understaffed, I witnessed several tables where one partner was served their meal and the other sat waiting. Personally, I was served two breakfasts that were stone cold. I did complain to our concierge and attempts were made to rectify, for the additional money this should not have been an issue. The resort was advertised as an adult only resort, which is not the case, there is an adult only section with some restaurants being adult only, however, the Italian, Seafood, Market Grill, Mexican and buffet are not adult only. If you want an adult only experience, be warned you will have children sat around you while eating dinner. The meals at dinner were a mixed bag and welcome to “speed eating”. Fuego, Sushi and Japanese meals were excellent. The Seafood and Market Grill dinners were served cold, the replacement was colder, we left the seafood meal. The Mexican (Mole) simply had no taste unless you smothered it in hot sauce. In every meal, the main course was served before you finished your appetizer and desert was not any slower. Sending it back would do no good as your meal would have been kept under a heat lamp and not hot. In summary: 1) The Reserve upgrade is not worth the money 2) It is not an adult only resort, expect to be sat with kids 3) The food is hit and miss I think the resort has a split personality; they are probably very good at the conferences they host (several conference rooms on site) but they don’t get vacationers are looking for a relaxed pace. I would not class this as a 5 star resort, 4.5 at best, perhaps ever 4.

Stayed on the Family side. Noisy the 2nd week as the adults section closed (reserved for private party) and the adults came to party in the kids' areas. Despite this, all staff at this resort is exceedingly kind and welcoming. Of note, our concierge Raul was extremely accommodating and resourceful. He acted as a very responsive and reliable liaison with the establishment and there wasn't a single need that he wasn't able to satisfy. We were very happy with his support over the 10 days spent on resort. A special shout out to our friends Salvador and Alejandro from the Reserve Pool service staff. Their professionalism and attentiveness were remarkable. They even fished one of our bags from the jungle behind the resort grounds where wild animals had decided to take our valuables and eat through the bag.

I enjoyed going to breakfast at the Hadar restaurant. The service there was really great. In particular, if you can, ask for Ismael Garcia, Gresli, and Jose. Ismael was amazing and attended us very well. Very professional and we got to know him over the next few days of our vacation. He’s nice, very welcoming, and made my wife and I want to come back and ask for him specifically. He’s a hard worker and deserves a raise!! Thank you to Paradisus and Hadar for letting us get to know him.

We came as a group of 6 for a friendly couples trip from Florida, and loved every single night we stayed here. From the smiles we are constantly greeted with, to the service at every single restaurant (all 11 of them) The attentiveness here is just beyond excellence. They truly care that your experience is a pleasant one. Our favorite server was hands down Shaila who normally works weekdays at the snack bar by the adults only Pool area. Even while we swam in the pool, she would look out to us just to see if we were being taken care of by the rest of the staff. Another great server was at the Mexican restaurant Mole. I don’t remember her name, but she was truly the sweetest! All of our servers were amazing. Honestly, I recommend always tipping the staff. They are so deserving of that and more. This resort was a 5/5 for us!

The hotel is gorgeous! we were given room 1383 with a partial ocean view and jacuzzi on the balcony! We were delighted! The food at the Hadar buffet is amazing! The extremely helpful Ismael and Gresli made our breakfasts and lunches more pleasant. Dinners in restaurants kept the level as well. Wonderful holidays! We will definitely come back here!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. We were greeted with cool towels and a friendly staff. We stayed on the Adults-only side and was never bothered by any families with small children. The bad thing about certain restaurants is that they're located on the family side, so if you want variety then families you will see. The staff (most of them) did not speak English very well. This made it difficult to understand simple words so I had to download Google Translate and that helped a lot! The room was extremely nice and comfortable. We booked the junior suite but was upgraded because our room was not ready upon arrival. One thing that was annoying is that staff kept coming by to clean. It was bad because we wanted to sleep in while on vacation and they came super early in the morning and what seemed like every other hour. I finally decided to put the DO NOT DISTURB sign out. I enjoyed their enthusiasm, but we needed sleep hahaha!! So much great food and entertainment. I just wish we didn't have to pay extra for things like a cabana at the pool, we were all inclusive. We were approached many times about time shares or exploring their other properties. Not something we wanted to deal with while vacating, but overall we would stay there again!

From the moment we arrived to even after we made it home - our trip was absolutely incredible! This was my first time visiting Mexico and going to an all-inclusive resort, and I could not recommend this resort and the staff more. Efrain took care of us throughout our entire stay making sure our restaurant reservations were booked and we felt ready to take on each day. Could not have asked for anyone better!!! We met Alfredo, William, and Mario throughout our stay at restaurants, bars, and poolside service and they were all delightful to talk to and they took care of anything we needed. Lastly, Hectar was there for us for all of the logistics and greeted us upon arrival and sent us off as well. We were able to schedule activities to participate in and loved it! Overall, an incredible place to vacation and if you have the chance 110% book and go! :)

While vacationing here at Paradisus Playa del Carmen celebrating my brothers wedding we decided to make reservations at Bana Fusion restaurant. Marco was our server and took excellent care of us. He explained the menu items to us and offered a suggestion of the shared variety platter that was delicious among the 4 of us. The food was served hot, fresh and colorful. Marco was pleasant and very welcoming. I tried the curry chicken menu item as my main course and it was very tasty with a hint of spice and flavor. I wish I had tried this restaurant earlier my stay or I would have made a reservation for an additional night. Food and service was excellent.

This was my first trip to Mexico for my cousin's wedding/vacation this past Memorial Day. It was INCREDIBLE. The food was spectacular, the employees were extremely polite, personable and were approachable. It really made the entirety of the experience that much better. The rooms and views are picturesque. Nightlife was fun and the pool was always the spot to be during the day, met some new people both from US and abroad. I am definitely going to return to this resort again. My only advice to others, dinner is by reservation only, give yourself 24 hours lead time to book or else you'll be stuck with 8/9PM or later times.

First of all I’d like to say that Hector was absolutely amazing. He went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. He would always try to assist us with our stay. Secondly the pool concierge Daniel and the pool waiter Alfredo were great. -Keep in mind I paid $600 per night- The Bad: the pool and facility is some what dated. The pool is missing tiles and is dirty/cold. The pool chairs are also old and stained. The whole resort has awful light. Room service is extremely slow. Room service food was inedible. The food is absolutely disgusting. Most foods are not edible. It is also not vegan or vegetarian friendly (especially the buffets, meat and veggies are touched with the same utensils) The bar reuses plastic cups without property washing them The worst part of the vacation was when we found somebody else’s blood on our sheets. We also had ants in our room the whole stay. When I called to have these issues fixed it took 3 hours. They don’t offer transportation to and from the airport I can go on and on but you get the point.

My husband and I were looking forward most to a dinner at Fuego. We finally got a reservation and they did not disappoint! We have been here for a couple days already and Roberto by far provided us with the best experience. The food was pretty and tasty. But Roberto made sure we had drink refilled quickly and made some awesome recommendations to enhance our experience. It’s nice when someone can guide you through the menu so you don’t miss out!

La palapa restaurant service was consistently fantastic every day. Genesis and Fatima the hostesses were always friendly and welcoming, even remembering our names, and we never had a complaint about service. One day our waiter even went to another building just to fetch a coffee after the local machine was already being cleaned. On top of the great service, the food was delicious at both breakfast and lunch. Thank you to all of the staff who make it so lovely for us all.

This resort is so lovely, but the best part is the people who work there. We were so well taken care of. The food was delicious and fresh. The service was excellent. Our favorite dinners were at Fuego with Roberto waiting on us and Chef Freddie’s beautiful food. We are so glad we stayed here. Such a treat!

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. This web site will compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in this area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure won't be disappointed. This resort is overall amazing! I’ve been here 5 times and it’s always a wonderful time! Fuego is my favorite restaurant at the resort and the service is always excellent throughout. Sergio was particularly great and helped us pick a variety of drinks and food options for the evening! Will come back many times over!

Fantastic experience! Comfortable rooms, excellent amenities! There is a swim-up bar in the pool area, and if you have a ground-level room, you will have pool access from the back patio . Everything is super clean, and if not, the staff will make it right! The restaurants were mostly good (some way better than others). I’d recommend the restaurant Fuego, which was by far my favorite. Roberto was a fantastic server and gave us all his favorite recommendations and was really awesome.

  • 5/5 Ashley L. 2 years ago on Google
We just finished our dinner at Fuego at this resort, and it was nothing short of stellar! We were given a private dining area that they had all set up with candles and rose petals. We had no idea this was coming, but it was absolutely wonderful! Roberto took excellent care of us, he was so friendly and engaging. The food was exquisite. Multiple appetizers, a couple of entrees, and some desserts later, we are so full and happy. No detail was overlooked. The restaurant manager, Roberta, made sure that everything was top notch, and was so welcoming. We could not ask for a better way to celebrate our honeymoon!
