Best diving shop in town! We were looking for a dive shop that is big enough to provide us a good service but not too big so they can take care of us, after a lot of research, we found Scubamobile. We did our PADI Advanced Open Water with Nicky and Sergio, everything went perfectly,  they really helped us to go to the next level. We did in total 14 dives with them, a perfect holiday :) Scubamobile is the perfect choice for any level diver certification or for a scuba discovery tour, they will take care of everything for you. It is a small shop but they are really well organized and have many connections to help them in case it is needed, they know the area for a long time and they will bring you to the right place with the right guide, considering your level and the weather to organize securely the best possible dive. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed and you will want to dive with them more!

I contacted 19 dive shops in Playa and Tulum and asked them all the same questions. 17 dive shops responded. Scubamoble came out on top. They were the most flexible (e.g. accepted cash, cards, Paypal and did not REQUIRE a deposit), the most accommodating (e.g. arranged for a night reef dive when most wouldn’t), and were the least expensive (both in terms of fully inclusive prices and they don’t charge unreasonable currency exchange rates)! While many responses from shops were canned responses that didn’t directly answer our questions, Scubamobile provided detailed information about all aspects of their services. When we showed up for our dive, all of our rental gear was set up and waiting for us. The equipment was very well maintained and quite new. The shop is clean, well laid out, and even has a small shower. Our dive guides were all top notch - both in terms of experience and personality. On our third day, we realized that we had to check-in for our flight at the time we would be underwater. Scubamobile overheard and offered to check-in for us! Prices will change, but at this time quotes from the various stores for a 2-tank cenote dive (inc. gear, computer and cenote fees) were as high as $180 USD. 1-tank night dives were as high as $110. Scubamoble was a *whole* lot less. If you are looking for a dive shop “machine” that processes lots of divers, Scubamobile may not be for you. If you want personalized, friendly, professional service at a great price, Scubamobile is the best shop in town. Do the research and I am sure that you will agree.

I did my open water SSI certification with Scubamobile over three half-days (plus an online training course completed beforehand) and I had a great experience. I had some flexibility in my travel schedule, so Jack and Nicky helped me pick the best days to go out on the water according to weather forecast/predicted visibility. Jack was my open water instructor and I found him to be easy to understand and good-natured. He helped make the most of our dives by (safely) coaxing eels out of their reef overhangs and pointing out hidden marine life as we were diving. I also took the opportunity to do a cenote dive at Chac Mool with the same shop (different guide) and it was amazing. I felt my skills being challenged but I never felt unsafe, and seeing the light filtering through surface breaks in the freshwater was breathtaking. All told, I’m very happy I chose Scubamobile for my first dive experience and would recommend the shop to anyone visiting/staying in the area.

We took our PADI open water certification here, Sergio did an amazing job and it was a perfect mix between banter and serious stuff. Can definitely recommend, also nice that this dive center is a bit smaller and more personal!

My boyfriend and I took a refreshment course at scubamobile. We really appreciated this as it had been 5 years since our last dive. The service we received was top class and we had two great dives afterwards. Especially a shoutout to Ghandi, our dive instructure, for his kind nature and great guidance. He and the rest of the crew deserves our highest recommendations - We would definetely like to come back another time! :-)

It was absolutely amazing!!! Everything was great, dives, gear, atmosphere.... Every single dive we've learnt sth more. Thank you Nicky for being such an amazing teacher. You thought us so much not only in the water but also explaining loads of stuff outside the dives. Diving with Jack (Sergio) was amazing! He explains everything and is a very good teacher. He is always up for a joke and makes it easy for you if you are a little nervous in the beginning! Me and a friend did our Advanced adventure open water SSI course with him and i recommend the school highly! We´ll come back!

Sergio and Nicky are the best. They work hard to provide great dives. They know the sites and take great care of their divers. Personally I have been diving with Sergio over 8 years and would never consider another dive shop. Scubamobile is the best !!!

Amazing people. These guys won't get more than 12 people in one boat. Sergio was super nice and good instructor. He is the only instructor I know that try to clean and replant damage corals around. Also very patient and a good guide.

We had an incredible time learning to scuba dive here! We did our PADI training which was very fun. Jack trained us and made it easy and exciting. After we did three more days of diving. Two dives in Playa Del Carmen, two in Cozumel, and two in the Cenotes. Every dive was unbelievable! Gandhi took us out on most of our dives and really made them all fun and unique. Highly recommend this dive shop! Highlight of our trip! Incredibly friendly staff and great experience!

If you are looking for a dive shop in Playa Del Carmen, Scubamobile Dive Center is the place to go! I highly recommend them! We went bull shark diving with them and it was beyond amazing! It wasn’t just the dive, it was the whole experience that made things worthy of a 5 star review. They are a locally owned shop, steps away from the dive boat, very personable, small dive groups, super chill, amazing vibe, super easy to communicate with, very personable, and a great team to dive with... Before choosing a shop to dive with in Playa, I did some research. Scubamobile came up as highly recommended. They were RIGHT!!! You can’t go wrong with Scubamobile Dive Center!

We dived with Scubamobile in October 2023 - 6 days diving package, 2 dives in cenotes every day. We chose Scubamobile based on reviews and it was the perfect choice. It was the fantastic experience. Communication and all arrangements with Nicky - just world class - quick and clear when addressing our questions and needs and good recommendations. Diving with Dario was just great. All the cenotes amazing. Many thanks to all of You, including both our gear Assistants! Just regreting your Scubamobile t-shirts were out of stock.

Good shop but do not think would dive again for the following reasons : - the dive master was great but there was a lot of unnecessary waiting. - the front desk stuff was not super the friendliest, as we asked to leave our luggage in the ship and go eat while waiting for our dive, but they were not very accommodating (was more surprised about the tone that their response came with ) - we couldn’t pay by card as initially agreed so that was a bit annoying for us and our cash planning Otherwise Octavio and the water team was really great.
