For the tourists out there: this has everything you'll need! I bought groceries and a suitcase.

I really like this MEGA. With the exception of some very slow cashiers, which are likely overworked, I love the variety. Price points on seafood and OTC meds seemed pretty high to me. But, over all lots of good deals to be had. Do not forget to bring your own bags. You can buy the ones they have, but why bother?

1 for 40, 2 for 100… Ignore the discounts and you won’t be scammed! Cashiers also ignore the discounts promoted in the store.

This is Wal-Mart by another name. The interior is enormous and pretty much has anything you could be looking for. They sell everything from groceries to scooters. The prices seem to be reasonable although I haven't been to another grocer in Playa. You can exchange money inside near the checkout area if you're in a pinch.

Nice and clean. Good selection. Good place to buy booze. SCAM ALERT: Watch them scanning your items. Multiple times we caught them scanning things multiple times, one time they punched in grape fruit and then weighed the extra large water bottle we were buying. Would have been about $14 CAD of charges on that one item.

I like this store , it’s clean and has good prices . I’m sorry but the customer service is the worst . The bread guy saw me waiting and ignored me . I just waited for several minutes to see how long before I said anything. The pharmacist was so rude and just said no rather than try to be helpful and I asked the meat guy if he would split a pack that had two hamburger patties to one that they had made . He said no. Then the girl who didn’t see that interaction asked me if I needed help and she of course split it up for me . It’s for my dog and he’s 5 lbs so I buy fresh every few days. I just don’t get the attitude when i find Mexican people to be so kind outside of grocery stores . I guess they are over worked but if they where to smile and have a more positive attitude their work would be more enjoyable .

Nice store. Bright and clean. Very much like a Walmart. Decent prices and they had everything you might need. Staff were helpful. We enjoyed our experience. We got enough food to last us about 5 days for less than 2000 pesos. We will return to this supermarket for more supplies.

Mega Comercial Soriana has a great selection of fresh produce, meats, and seafood. The prices are reasonable, and the store is always clean and well-stocked. However it seems this supermarket is under staff, it was somewhat difficult to find someone who could help me find certain products.

Great place for tourists and locals. Full supermarket, with department store. Good prices, excellent selection. Bring your own bag, or purchase a reusable one there for $16 pesos. Be careful of the red dye on the bag. It will bleed if it gets damp or wet.

Found everything I needed. Bread is delicious. Definitely stop by and get some. The taco stands in the back are awesome, too. Nothing to do with Soriana but just FYI, they are good and inexpensive.

The big version of Soriana supermarkets, has a bit of everything, from food to electricals and basic diy items. Typical supermarket prices (most likely way cheaper than your hotel shop prices) in a central location (close to the popular tourist attraction 5th avenue and about 15min walk to the beach), free parking and friendly staff.

Clean store seems to focus on the tourist and expat but still Mexican prices. GREAT place to grab some FREE PARKING to 5th Avenue and a short walk to many places in playa.

Big supermercado that has everything. Definitely prefer Mega to Walmark. The space is tidier, more food options, and the produce is a lot fresher. The checkout lines are also way shorter.

Very similar to Walmart, but it's slices of pizza (near the entrance) were much better! Don't go too late, because there won't be many options at the bakery. Also, you can't buy alcoholic beverage after 5 PM on Sundays (it's a Quintana Roo weird law). There are a Santander in the (huge) parking lot. At night, you can find many good street food options in the street besides it.
