Visited the place based on its reviews and realized they were fake posted by local tourist guides. This place is an absolute tourist trap and am saying that after an experience of visiting 65 countries. Instagram - bryceintraveller Definitely a good location but wouldn’t say anything else is good. Overpriced drinks, food and absolutely horrendous staff. They expect a 20 percent tip for even a drink. A margarita here costs you 385 pesos. You would see the true color of the servers once you say you don’t want to tip 20 percent and they aren’t happy with a 10 percent tip. I couldn’t get the name of the attendant but he was rude to the point saying we need this table once he realized he wouldn’t get his 20 percent tip ( super short guy acted like a manager). If you read this review and still plan to have a visit to this place and in case you don’t like the food or drinks avoid giving them a 20 percent tip and see the change in their attitude. The street has so many better places like Senor Frogs. Try them out 😊

We ordered watermelon and mango margaritas both drinks were very expensive and the taste for the price was very blah. We drank many margaritas during our Mexico trip and these were the worst. We just came for 1 drink and didn't feel the need for food at the moment but felt pressurized to order for more dishes every time. When we got the bill the waiter asked fora minimum 20% tip which we didn't feel like giving since we didn't spend much time and didn't receive a service worth tipping. After paying we were kicked out of the table while I still had half of my drink. I travel a lot and this is unprofessional behavior. An honest opinion to make your time in playa del carmen worthwhile, go somewhere else. This is rubbish.

I wished we had read the reviews earlier. Food lacked any real flavor. Both my parents are from Mexico and they both were disappointed in the quality of food. The waitress had a bad attitude and used her bare hand in making the guacamole. Food is severely overpriced. The green sauce chicken enchiladas had no spice and tasted watery and with lots of lime. The chlie relleno was small and the cheese taste had a texture like mashed potatoes. On top of it, they included the tip. Very bad form. Looks appealing on the outside but that gives it a false sense of what a ln authentic restaurant should be. Coming from California and Mexico city. DO NOT GO IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND TASTEBUDS.

I am surprised at the negative reviews. The service was impeccable, food delicious. Yes the prices have gone up, but that id everywhere right now, unfortunately for all of us. We had the aguachiles and definitely come back.

Hover so much when paying the bill between 7 people trying to simply convert and calculate. All we wanted were Mexican tacos. Very white washed. No flavor whatsoever. The only thing that was great were the drinks. Food also took a very long time for some tiny tacos.

We were spent and just needed something to eat. Regrettably I was still so hungry after the skimpy meal, of which I could count the fries on my plate. Not authentic, and overpriced. Friendly service though.

Really awful experience here! Food was cold on 4/5 dishes we asked it be re heated and it came back still cold. No member of staff came near us to check if it was ok. Waiter fought with me when I said how bad the food was (had also been flavourless) and then had the cheek to give us the option of 15 or 18% at the end of the meal when we said we did not want to pay service charge because service was so poor he became irate and continued to insult us further and pretend the service was not optional, we did ask to speak to the manager but he wouldn't let us! . The only positive thing I have to say was the avocado starter that they made at the table was nice. Do not go here!!!

These people definitely don't count on anyone ever being a repeat customer. The reasonable prices from it lulled me into a false sense of security and I ordered my drink without looking at the menu. The drink in question was water for $155 pesos! On the way home, we talked about all the things I could have bought for that much. Two marquesitas with change to spare. Five pieces of the $25 peso pizza. A giant piece of $99 peso lasagna and a piece of pizza. 60L of water. It doesn't help that my $155 peso water (which is the most expensive water I've ever had in my entire life, and yet did not appear to have been filtered through diamonds) also had a fly in it. Service was good, though, and the food wasn't bad for the price.

Really good authentic local diner. Everything we ordered tasted great. It's really hard to find good mojacate in CA, and this place did not disappoint. The empanadas were the best along with table prepped fresh guacamole.

Beautiful horses and jungle. Saw lots of monkeys and iguanas. The cenote was refreshing. Sergio was an awesome guide.

Overall good. Don’t allow subs for sides you don’t want. Enchiladas looked like tacos. Had a really interesting steak… But in the end, it was a good stop.

Great food...cool atmosphere. Highly recommend the fresh roasted salsa prepared table side as a starter. The watermelon margarita is a must.

Mango margarita is good and the chicken nachos were okay. Great place to drop in for lunch and margaritas. Made for tourists

This is an average expensive restaurant, well as you know unfortunately all south Mexico is out of control with prices. Everything is equals Dollars, per example a Fajita usually cost 80 to 100 pesos, at this place is 200 pesos, the Gordita and Quesadilla 200 pesos as well when you can regularly buy them from 25 pesos each.
