I purchased two originals and i love them every day. his work is terapy for me. i love the idea of the reset button and Id, ego and super ego. Very very original.

This gallery is fantastic. It is a different place in Playa del Carmen. The style that the artist create with his gallery its unique. You can find lot of variety of different artists but Gaston's paints are unique and make the difference. You cannot return to your country before you go there

This is a beautiful art gallery hosting not only the resident artist's magnificent work as well as other riveting pieces. It is creative gem nestled in the gardens off the 5th ave that appeals to the senses. I would recommend this gallery for art lovers and people who appreciate creative expression and beauty. It is truly an inspiring place.

Great art gallery with a wide variety of artists and different types of work. Ask for Ivana she’s extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Ended up walking away with a beautiful piece by Dennis Granados and could not recommend this place more.

Walking in Playa del Carmen’s 5ta. Avenida, we bumped into this very cool art gallery. There, we met Laura Morales, not only very attentive and courteous, she’s also an amazing artist. Laura walked us thru the collection and gave us the rundown about Gastón Charo. After a brief conversation (and a little google search) we decided that we wanted a portrait of Frida Kahlo by artist Alex Sanchez. The one that was on display was too large for our living room… Laura said: “No problem, let me talk to artist and maybe you can commission the painting”. And that’s it! A couple of weeks later, we received our new piece of art in our home in New Jersey.

On my recent visit to Playa del Carmen I was drawn into your art gallery by the painting near the entrance, it was the 1st one I saw and knew I had to have it. After looking around for several minutes I found another that was as equally stunning and learned that it was painted by the gallery’s owner. I was met by Laura shortly after I arrived and she was a pleasure to work with. After the purchase she packaged and shipped my art before I ever left for home in the US. She followed my package through out its journey to Michigan and sent me the email that said my art work had reached its resting place. We definitely enjoyed visiting Charó's gallery in Playa Del Carmen. My husband learned about his art and works first in Spain and loved the picasso-like artworks. Very talented indeed! We purchased one in PDC and put it up in our home entrance. Loved that his gallery also features other artists! Do visit this gallery when you're in PDC!

Purchased our 4th piece from this gallery today. If you are looking for a fresh, curated, ever changing gallery that offers fine original art from various regional and local artists this is worth exploring. The very helpful and knowledgeable girl we worked with knew her art, details about each piece and the artist. Modern, post modern and some industrial mixed with traditional Mexican modern. Highly Recommend, even just for a look.

This place is like stepping into a painting by Salvador Dali, it is suddenly quiet compared to all the commotion outside and you enter a surrealistic art exposition and beautiful garden.

A principios de enero visité Playa del Carmen y pasamos por la galería. We had spent the whole day in Xscaret so we just had a quick look from out side. We loved the paintings and I'm so happy to find the gallery online. I dream about going back to see more and hopefully bring a piece of your art home to Norway.

Gastón Charó Art Gallery is a must see place during a stay in Playa del Carmen. We purchased two wonderful one of a kind artworks, one on site and one online, and we have always been treated flawlessly. The person who assisted us, Laura Morales, was extremely helpful and professional both during the purchase in the gallery and during all the phases of online purchase. This is the only place with real Art. I am amazed by Gastón Charó´s artwork. its original, unique and very different. I have the pleassure to have one of his originals and I regret not purchasing the big textured piece i loved because it was sold when i came back to buy it. If you fall in love with his paintings, just buy it!! He is going to be more famous very soon and you will be happy to get a Charó painting or regret for not getting it.
