We
just
came
back
from
a
7
day
stay
at
Paradisus.
I
never
write
lengthy
reviews.
Definitely
not
negative
ones.
But
this
holiday
stay
was
so
exceptionally
terrible
that
I
feel
like
I
have
to
alert
future
guests.
We
travel
to
Mexico
and
DR
at
least
X2
a
year,
always
to
all-inclusive
resorts
(usually
club
med).
So
I
have
some
benchmark.
This
was
my
first
stay
at
Paradisus
hotel.
I
would
say
that
at
least
30%
of
my
week's
stay
was
spent
stressing
over
and
requesting
services
which
are
literally
a
given
at
any
other
resort.
It
felt
like
the
hunger
games
instead
of
a
vacation.
Here
are
a
few
examples:
*
no
free
chairs
at
the
pool
(unless
you
go
downstairs
at
6am
each
morning,
which
we
eventually
had
to
do
so
we
could
secure
a
chair);
*
no
room
at
ANY
of
the
5
(!)
restaurants
for
the
ENTIRE
DURATION
OF
OUR
STAY
(unless
willing
to
go
at
9:30pm
which
with
3
kids
and
a
7
month
old
baby
isn't
really
practical.
It
took
many
negotiations
to
get
earlier
spots
which
are
all
pre-reserved
for
members
(who
don't
show
up;
restaurants
were
half
empty).
Otherwise
it
would
have
been
buffet
all
week.
Why
advertise
you
have
5
restaurants
and
not
let
people
know
how
difficult
it
is
to
actually
dine
there
if
you
are
not
a
member?);
*
no
room
at
the
kids
club
(again,
unless
you
are
there
15
minutes
before
they
open
at
9am,
and
they
never
actually
opened
at
9am
so
in
reality
my
husband
had
to
stand
in
line
for
at
least
25
minutes
every
morning
to
secure
a
service
which
we
actually
paid
for.
Oh
and
they
don't
serve
food
so
you
have
to
pick
up
for
lunch.
When
we
tried
in
the
afternoon
to
drop
off
the
kids
again,
the
club
was
at
capacity);
*
no
turnover
service
in
the
morning
(I
wish
I
was
making
this
up).
One
day
our
room
wasn't
cleaned
until
5pm
we
had
to
call
2
times
and
beg
them
to
come.
Then
we
got
2
new
towels
(for
our
family
of
5).
Ridiculous.
If
you
are
busy
during
the
holidays
hire
more
staff
or
don't
allow
guests
to
book.
You
can't
have
guests
and
not
service
them.
For
the
finale,
we
booked
our
stay
directly
through
the
site
as
they
promised
to
include
transportation
from/to
the
airport.
They
never
told
us
when
the
pick
up
time
is.
On
the
night
before
our
last
day
I
asked
and
was
told
the
pick
up
was
at
2:30
for
a
7pm
flight.
I
said
I
think
that's
too
early,
can
we
do
3:30pm
as
we
already
agreed
for
late
check
out
(3pm)
and
I
wouldn't
need
to
interrupt
my
kids'
nap.
This
still
left
us
plenty
of
time
even
considering
traffic.
After
much
back
and
forth
(because
they
wanted
to
pick
up
more
people?)
the
hotel
confirmed
3:30,
private
car
service,
for
the
pickup
on
the
night
before
our
flight
back.
At
3pm
on
our
last
day
I
went
to
the
shuttle
stand
and
confirmed,
again,
the
pick
up
at
3:30.
My
family
of
5
was
ready
and
waiting
at
the
lobby
at
3:15pm.
However,
the
car
didn't
arrive
at
3:30pm.
Not
at
4pm
either.
It
wasn't
until
4:10pm
that
the
car
showed
up.
When
I
complained
about
the
delay
(40
minutes
total
for
a
PRIVATE
car
service
is
insane)
the
shuttle
company
brushed
me
off
(I
mean
things
happen,
but
at
least
apologize..)
and
guest
services
at
the
hotel
had
the
audacity
to
tell
me:
"This
is
your
fault,
we
told
you
2:30pm
is
better".
I
mean,
yes,
if
I
had
known
you'd
be
40
minutes
late
of
course
I
would
have
scheduled
an
earlier
pick
up
time,
but
shame
on
me
for
thinking
a
private
ride
would
actually
come
on
time.
Thankfully
we
did
not
miss
our
flight
but
we
were
very
close
to,
and
had
to
rush
through
check
in
with
3
small
kids
and
the
unpleasant
feeling
that
once
paid,
this
hotel
cares
very
little
about
the
relaxation
and
enjoyment
of
its
guests.
I'm
incredibly
disappointed.
