The doctor (who was a general doctor) refused to prescribe a medication for me, citing the need for a “specialist” to do so. They referred me to a random hospital nearby, with no explanation as to who I should talk to when I get there. When I arrived at this hospital, they said the only specialist (apparently on the peninsula) lives in Cozumel, and good luck! It also costs $193 to see him. I called another doctor in Playa, and she was baffled that they claimed a specialist needed to prescribe this medication, because she (a general doctor) prescribed it all the time. She even asked for the names of the clinics because it was an outrageous claim. I mean, I totally get up-charging foreigners, but could you please do it with non-imminent emergency visits please.

We went to this clinic because of the advertised lower PCR test (1450 pesos instead of the usual 1700 found elsewhere) 48 hours before the flight. The nurse taking care of the tests spoke an extremely good English, was ultra nice and made the process clear and easy. Also, our results came in exactly when they were supposed to. Nothing but a great experience, we would certainly go again!

I went in for a last minute Covid test before our flight and they were able to take us in. It’s one of the few covid testing places in the area and the staff was super kind. The results came back within 2 hours.

People at the front desk need training on costumer service. Been there a couple times because it is conveniently located near where I stay. As you walk in, the first impression is that the ladies/guy are not having a good day and they make everyone that walks in aware of that. No greeting or acknowledgement, somewhat rude and talking about personal stuff they should not be talking about in front of patients. To be a clinic, it definitely needs more care (hygiene). Dr. was nice, but I am not sure how well or if they actually follow protocol when it comes to infection control. (Dr. was wearing a face shield which was clearly dirty from saliva splash. Saliva that came from patients that could not hold their sneeze when getting the test for Covid-19. The face shield should be sanitized after every patient. Every patient’s test next to one another on top of the table. I really am concerned with whether new gloves were used after every patient since I did not see the Dr. putting on new gloves when I was in the treatment room). Patient information is also not private, everyone else in the room can hear everything. It is definitely convenient due to its location, but there are other options in the area.

They helped me, all right, but the Cozumel clinic requested my transfer for more thorough help for my case and what they put in the transfer protocols was just downright wrong, they added things that never happened while forgetting crucial facts. Plus, they didn’t recognize the 4 times extended treatment in the decompression chamber actually caused oxygen toxicity in my lungs to an already progressed extent the clinic in Cozumel had to deal with then, so thank you for helping, but please take into consideration when a patient tells you over and over again that they are hurting!! While the Cozumel clinic is HIGHLY recommendable and super state of the art with extremely friendly and professional as well as highly trained staff, the Playa clinic was kind of a disappointing in aftersight...

I love this Clinic! The staff is incredible. I had to do a series of 18-20 hyperbaric treatments (managed by Antonio, an incredible lovely human being, very caring and helpful to explain the process). As well I needed to get vitals checked before and after, sometimes gauze changes and overall well-being check ups from the medical staff on duty almost daily for a month and I cannot have felt more comfortable! Each and every one is so kind. Elli, a nurse there just exudes beautiful vibes and always uplifting, the 3 doctors I met, two really lovely female docs, Dr. Anahí (& I’ll get the other’s name next time I go & update my review 😉) and a male doc, Dr Jaime, were all so kind with fantastic bed-side manner and ALWAYS greeted me by name daily! The front desk receptionist, Rosi, is also so helpful and courteous. Gosh, even the cleaning ladies walking by recognized me and would wave or smile and greet me every visit. It’s also helpful to have the pharmacy right next door too! 😃 (they got to know my name too!) And finally, my doctor, lifesaver and incredible aesthetic/cosmetic surgeon in the clinic is Dr. Yobal Díaz Pratz who has an office upstairs is an absolutely gem 💎 a very rare find and one of THE best surgeons I’ve ever met. He really cares about your recovery and is committed beginning to end to be sure you are 100%! My love for Mexico is always growing after 14 years here, but this staff just goes to show you that the level of personal care here is awesome! Thank you all so much for the month and a half I’ve spend seeing you and the smiles on your faces daily I believe raised my spirits and helped me recover quicker. 🙏🏼😉

Got our PCR tests in less than 24 hours to come back to Canada. Very good clinic, just call and book your appointment. ( They also speak English). And their prices are fair! I highly recommend this clinic.

Great clinic. Went in twice for medical advice and both times I was not charged as the doctors on duty said it wasn’t a real consultation. I will definitely go ack.

Phone number on Google is wrong - they dont answer the phone. They refuse to make an appointment even if you prepay. You have to come by and hope there is not a 1 hour wait. Idiotic way to operate.

I had an ear problem after diving. I visited the clinic as a walk-in and was seen right away. The staff are all friendly and speaks English very well. Dr. Lara has excellent bedside skills. Very courteous and knowledgeable. She explained everything in detail. I was in and out in less than an hour.

They have a bariatric chamber for divers suffering from DCS or “the bends”. The doctors and staff here are experts in this subject. If your diving in the vicinity and get bent, this is the place for immediate treatment
