PLEASE DISREGARD ANY NEGATIVE REVIEW WRITTEN ABOUT HONADA. I have been here h u n d r e d s of times over the past 11 years. Why do you think I keep coming back? For every birthday, holiday, anniversary? This is the restaurant that made me fall in love with sushi. Anyone who says their service was bad, or they weren’t addressed when they walked into the restaurant, or the staff didn’t do anything about issues with food, must have had their eyes closed when they walked in and are writing a review about the wrong restaurant. Food will come out early or cold from time to time; that’s a product of going to a good, busy restaurant. I’d bet the farm that bringing the problem to the staff’s attention will get your food either remade or comped. This is my go to, and I will live and die by this food, atmosphere, and staff. Fast and delicious food, world class service, and an overall 5 star dining experience. HONADA FOREVER.

For appetizers we ordered edamame, shrimp tempura, and yam tempura. I ordered one of the sashimi courses (I forgot which one) which came with a salad and miso soup, and eel nigiri. My wife ordered the Green Bay Packer Roll. I was stationed in Japan twice, 5 years total. My wife and I recently moved back stateside from Japan and we both agreed that the meal was really good and brought us back to Japan. The salad was good, the miso soup tasted like the miso soup we had all the time in Japan, the sashimi was fresh, the tempura shrimp and yam was amazing.. What surprised me the most was the Packer Roll. I don’t like to eat sushi in the US because I feel there’s too much and too many different sauces and ingredients on the rolls which hides the fish flavor. Not here and at least not the Packer Roll. We were able to taste all the natural ingredients which we really enjoyed because it tasted like traditional Japanese sushi. We both really like this place and we’re glad it’s right by our house. We’ll definitely be back.

Sushi is fantastic. The sashimi was fabulous and they offer a cucumber rolled sushi for a healthier option (Naruto). They don’t have free refills. The place it’s kids friendly and offer different options for them. Including fried rice. We were sited fast after we arrived.

My first time here. Very nice. Staff was excellent. Friendly and welcoming. The sushi was fresh and a good amount for the cost. Tasty and will return for sure. Julie was such a good person to talk with in reference the restaurant and area.

This place is the absolute best sushi I’ve ever had in my whole life. I swear to you. It’s famous for a reason. Customer service is amazing, the wait is never long even if they have a rush of people, the hibachi is extremely entertaining to watch, etc. I go with my boyfriend every other week. The prices are amazing and the taste of everything is even better. This place warms my heart.

Hidden Gem!!! Amazing authentic Japanese cruise. Appetizers, main course and dessert were so delicious. Wonderful and very friendly customer service with a smile. The Hibachi grill part of the restaurant is so delicious. Plenty of parking.

Had pretty good reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. The fish wasn't particularly fresh for the sushi and the styles of rolls they had were unimaginative and fairly basic. Sticky rice was dry. All around pretty disappointing.

Wonderful respite of Sushi or Teppanyaki in Kenosha's Hwy 50 comfort food alley. Whether Sushi or Sashimi (as pictured) it is wonderfully and colorfully plated. Great service with quiet dining or over the grills. Open until 9:30 or later(Fri or Sat). I was there at 8:30pm on a Sunday, so traffic was light.

Horrible experience!!! Not my first time here, the sushi was all wrong claiming they don’t add cucumber on a California roll. They charged us for siracha when they have never done that ONCE AGAIN! SOFTY our server was talking back to us with attitude and would start cussing in her language and walk away. A hair was found in our food and she claimed that there was nothing when it was clearly there and they still wanted us to eat that plate and not refund our money back. And to top it all off I ordered 4 California rolls and she said “wow you sure, 6 in every roll times 4, 24” I said yes I want 4. The most rudest thing ever because I was ordering for myself and my son and I’m pregnant! SUPER RUDE!!!!!

Disappointing. Less than average hibachi experience with the same prices as the good places. Confused by the good reviews. Wasn’t much interaction with chef, did the standard two “tricks”. The food wasn’t good. I’ve had better fried rice in a TV dinner. Even with soy sauce poured on it - was still bland. The meat (steak, shrimp, chicken) had an overwhelming amount of garlic - which took over the ability to taste anything else. The other family at the table agreed. Will not be going here in the future for hibachi.

The workers there were very nice and professional. The sashimi lunch special provided very thick cuts of fish that my daughter enjoyed (the photo is my food).

This was an "average" Japanese steakhouse. Food was ok, service was ok. We had to wait to get seated at a hibachi table because they won't sit only 2 people, but to be fair, we didn't wait long. The sushi we ordered was very good.

Great place! Not just a restaurant, but an experience!!! Always sit at the grill. It's so fun, and the chefs are amazing, fun, and friendly. The food is delicious, hot and fresh! Made just how you like, I've never had any problems with service food or anything here, my family loves it!!!

Honada was great! The food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. The service was very good, but the restaurant was not very busy for a Saturday night. We brought in a large party to eat on the normal side (not teppan). I ordered the dinner bento box with teriyaki steak, so I had a sample of different parts of the menu. I found it all to be delicious. The sushi was excellent. The salads were very good. The steak was tender. The tempura was some of the best I have had. The others in my party had only good things to say about their food as well.

Very Polite Staff, Reasonable Pricing for Prices Hiking up lately. Would highly recommend. Major Variety of Sushi, and other Items/Appetizers to choose from.

Best sushi place near me. I love all of their food options, everything is delicious!! The staff is beyond nice and the inside is really cute.

The food was very good, still the best Sushi in Kenosha, even after Sooshibay has opened. The only thing I'm not happy with is the service, they barely give enough time to open the menu before they're trying to get your order. Especially ordering sushi, it normally takes a little time to decide. The other thing was our sushi got delivered and not even 5 minutes our entrees came out. I really do t like that they can't space things out, give you time to enjoy one course before bringing the next.

Food was amazing, we got attended right away and seated on time. I love how you get the choice of drinks, if you want try getting the famous Japanese liquor (Hatozaki). I believe that is what it was called defiantly a hit. The service is amazing they pick up after you, when done eating. Amazing people. 👏

My family and I went out to dinner for a special occasion and we were really excited to go see a hibachi dinner that was entertaining. However, customer service was not it. Both the waiter and person cooking our food were not engaged with us. It seemed as if they were waiting till they clocked out. Food was relatively good but incomparable to Milwaukee’s Benihana, which is amazing by the way. What really shocked me was there are no free refills on soft drinks. Would not recommend this place to anyone else!

Food overall was pretty decent, compared to other sushi and hibachi places it isn't the best but it has a good selection of rolls. One major issue I had though was with the service. All the staff was really nice but one hibachi order took over 30 minutes and 2 other tables coming and going for one small order. Even on a busy night, when multiple others have eaten and paid for their food before one person even receives theirs it is not a great indicator of good food service. Hoping my situation isn't very common because the food is very good.

It is the best clean non expensive Japanese restaurant between Chicago and Milwaukee Chicken Katsu lunch box is a must try!!!

Didn't like the attitude of the male who sat us. My daughter who is 7 wanted to sit at the grill. Because he assumed she would order from the kids menu he would not sit us there. We asked why we couldn't sit at the grill we got no answer. Our waitress explained that had to be minimum of 4 ppl (which we had. The only reason they get 3 stars is because of the waitress. She had to bus her own tables and take and serve orders.

First time dining at Honada for a team lunch. Excellent experience - quick service and tasty, fresh rolls. Large menu selection available. Everything we tried was great!
