I liked visiting the place. Well done, Plovdiv! The rich and impressive history of your town deserves to be revealed and presented to the people! I would recommend to all who plan to visit to first see this place and then go to the bishop's basilica. The difference in terms of dimensions is impressive. However, there are combined tickets and it was impossible to buy those at the Small basilica. I think this has to be corrected. It's the only thing that may spoil the experience from the visit though every stotinka is worth spending at this beautiful complex! Strongly recommend it!

If you are going to see this and the Bishop’s Basilica, start here. If you only have time for one, then go to the Bishop’s Basilica. Climb the stairs for a better view and a diagram of the basilica. Make sure to see the stag and dove/pigeon in the back corner.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Basilica. The mosaics are conserved excellently. Kid-friendly. Translations in both Bulgarian and English. You can also watch a movie about Plovdiv. The entrance was 5 leva.

Very enjoyable and educational experience; highly recommended. Convenient location and friendly staff. They have a few optional educational videos including in English. Well planned layout so you can literally walk over the site without damaging it.

If you visited the Bishops Basilica you have to follow up with a visit to the “Small Basilica”. It takes significantly less time to go around it and is very enjoyable tour through Plovdiv’s multi millennia history. You can also enjoy couple of very well made short films about the history of Plovdiv.

This little church could easily be overlooked in favour of its larger cousin down the street, but the mosaics have been restored with the same loving care. Don't miss this one!

Great accessory to the Bishop's Basilica of Philippopolis. Both are well-kept and showcase valuable elements from Plovdiv architectural heritage. The mosaics are preserved and one can enjoy their original look and spirit.

Definitely everyone who is in Plovdiv should visit. It's not particularly big, but it's even more exciting to see the old mosaics.

Another great sight for mosaics in Plovdiv. Well worth getting the combined ticket to see this in addition to the Bishop's Palace.

The small museum is a part of the bigger one. The lady who sold us tickets was kind enough to explain us some more historical facts and what was the purpose of the basilica. Good to visit!
