😠 I was eating my soup thinking how nice this place is, how tasty my soup is and that I would go again. And then at the bottom of my bowl there was a white hair... I hope the owners can see this review, because I didn't want to say I had a hair in my soup infront of all the other customers buying soup... People often mention soup, tasty, good, soups, chicken, delicious,

I have eaten here quite a few times. It is not a fancy place. Come here for simple meals that taste delicious. My personal favorite is their shkembe (tripe soup). I like this soup to begin with but this place has the best compared to the numerous restaurants I have eaten it. There only a few seats in the place but most people eat quickly and are gone so there is a good chance you can sit. Each time I've been there the majority of people take their food to go. There has been at least one person who speaks English on all of my visits. I have never seen a menu. You just make a choice from the stuff they have prepared that day and when they run out you have to make a different choice. It's not a problem, all the items I have tried were good. If you have your taste set on a particular food get there early.

This place is fantastic! I was walking by on my way to my hotel and saw the que of customers. So I thought to myself, this place must be good. I went in, ordered some vegetarian pasta and a spinach soup and WOW, very tasty! I ended back in here 3 more times on my 3 day trip to Plovdiv. Yes I ate lunch and dinner here on one of the days. Great selection on meat and vegetarian food, very fresh and very tasty. The staff were very helpful as I do not speak Bulgarian. I would highly recommend! Top marks 😁

We are visiting Plovdiv and have eaten here twice (and we are going back today). The food is absolutely delicious and the prices are low. We can’t get enough of their tasty food!

The food was cold, apart from the soup. It was tasty, but cold.

Fantastic little shop with a selection of ready food and soup. They will heat up your food if you ask. Cheap eats compared to local flash restaurants.

The meatball soup and chicken soup were just what we needed on a cold and snowy day. The chicken and rice was also a favourite and the rice is so flavorful and tasty (I ordered this 3 times during my two week visit, including again today 😋). Simple and delicious home food.

Tried the Ben soup here and was delicious. The chicken soup and the broccoli salad was also very tasty. The price is good for the size of the portions. Would definitely come back!

Friendly staff, home style cooked dishes pre made and heated if required. Reasonable pricing and fair portion sizes! Would recommend for those on a budget in particular - mines pictured was 10BGN total

Food in Bulgaria is usually blunt and not tasty. Soup Pause manages to offer some tasty dishes. Bravo!

Very nice soup and traditional bulgarian food. Not expensive, you get the soup for 3.8 levas and a stew for 7 levas

Simple canteen with soups and main dishes but the food is very tasty, good quality for money. One minus - no wc.

Had 2 bowls here today, probably later than we should have… one cold mushroom soup and one warm chicken noodle-like soup. Wish the mushroom had been hot. Not very welcoming for english speakers.

Simple place, but really good soups, multiple veg options, with surprisingly good spices to go with them (chilli flakes, garlic oil). Perfect for a lunch soup.

Within 10 days the most authentic and delicious fast food place I've seen in Bulgaria

Delicious food, however short lady behind the counter is way too sour and negative to be allowed to do customer service. Beside that, great home cooked meals and soups that deserve high marks :)

Delicious, filling soups, well seasoned soups. Perfect for a hot day when you don't feel like a big meal. Prices are very good value, we paid ~20lev for 4 soups and 2 bottles of coke.

As a backpacker, it can be quiet challenging to find a tasty and affordable meal in Kapana, Plovdiv. Found this place, tried the stuffed peppers and a big salad for around €6,- & I have to say: One of the best meals I have had so far during my 4 weeks in the Balkans. The portions are very generous. Will definitely recommend this place!

The real bulgarian experience! It is a must stop for workers, at lunch it became crowded very fast. So big portions, typical food and sooo cheap! Many types of soups and other dishes. If u find a sit u can eat there, or it is very nice to take away as well.

We ate here 3 times. We liked the chicken soup, chicken cubes with rice, chicken leg with rice, etc. There is a very good variety of dishes. Service is quick and the people are nice. The price is very affordable.
