Wonderful house of the Revival Period built in the symmetrical style and hosting the work of one if Bulgaria's most famous painters. 70 works are in display most of them focusing on peasant life in the realist style. I can't say I enjoyed the paintings that much, felt too nationalist-communist but the house itself is splendid

The exposition was a discovery to me. I recommend taking the time to see this extraordinary art work. The historic house where the paintings are being exposed belongs to the first Bulgarian physician and it is worth taking the tour as well.

An art gallery more than a museum, this house displays the works of Plovdiv's very talented artist Zlatyu Boyadzhiev.

I had no idea who Zlatyu Boyadzhiev was, but the visit was a pleasant discovery. The house and the garden were originally built and occupied by an early Bulgarian doctor, namely Stoyan Chomakov. The garden is simple and charming. The house is a delight inside out.

An exceptional exhibition for connoisseurs of the art and creativity of the great Bulgarian artist Zlatyu Boyadzhiev. The magnificent house of Dr. Stoyan Chomakov, in which the paintings are located, complements and enhances the overall positive impression of the visit. You can also buy a combined ticket for the entrance to other emblematic houses and museums of the old town.

Very impressed and enjoyed seeing the works of a local artist. Eclectic mix of subject matter, but consistently full of colour/life and often uplifting. A nice gallery with large rooms and a hospitable host. Definitely worth a look when in Plovdiv.
